Stayed here for 2 nights 3 days.  The staff were helpful and friendly.  The room was clean, it also had a little refrigerator. I was on the 5th floor near the gym room, swimming pool and game room which were pretty small, but seem to work for me.  The view from my bedroom was not that great but i didn't care since i plan to be out most of the time  Elliptical machine was really cool.  Location is absolutely wonderful.   Close to many restaurants, metro link which can put you close to Forest park near all the museums, zoo and fun stuff in the park, which all have free admission    Don't forget around the corner from the hotel, you can walk to the arch, another place to visit.  The only reason that I didn't give this review a 5 is because at random times the bathroom would make odd noises.  Didn't bother to mention it because I didn't stay in the hotel most of the times, but it was pretty annoying waking up to the bathroom flushing noises.

Bonus. Free breakfast.   Was not bad.  I loved making my own hot waffles and the coffee was very good.   I would recommend this place and would stay here again.

I love Hampton Inns.  You know what you're going to get: well-designed, comfortable rooms, free internet and breakfast, at a good price.

This one is conveniently located just off the northeast corner of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial (the Arch).  The staff were super-helpful.

We paid $116+15% tax for a room on a busy Friday (big Cardinals game), and parking was $10.

I don't think you can beat this hotel for the price. The area is fantastic, as Charles W mentioned, great for stumbling home from the casinos/landing area. The rooms are standard Hampton Inn, which is fine, though there is no wireless in the room. There is free internet on the hardline, but bring a longer Cat5 cable if you want to work from anywhere but the desk.

Parking is cheap at $10 a night and secure.

If I ever find myself in St. Louis again, I will make my best effort to stay here, even if it means I am sucked in by that evil monster Gamblar, taking my money.

What a great place. Free internet, nice big swimming pool, a gym with treadmills and weights, free apples and coffee in the lobby, even free breakfast. Very nice staff, too.

We spent three nights here and everything was great! The staff was pleasant and very helpful and the room was clean, roomy and bright. The adjoining pub was great and the walk to the arch and nearby restaurants & bars was easy.  We also had an easy walk to the baseball stadium. Kudos to the management and staff.

Solid location, perfect for losing your shirt on the casino and stumbling home in a drunken stupor or dancing your face off at a nearby bar.

Rooms are nice, nothing special.  Incredible toilet flushing power...if you are the kind of person that needs that.

Some rooms have a nice view of the Arch, which is great for about two seconds, then you get bored because it's just a giant Arch.

After diligently researching for a hotel to spend our St.Louis wedding weekend at, we came across Hampton Inn, wich was nothing less than hospitable and friendly since our initial contact. This specific weekend was a hectic time to book a stay in St. Louis; the world series, marathons, and other events. Originally we were looking into staying at the Westin, but Hampton Inn was more fitting to our budget and frankly; the service was at the caliber of a 5 star hotel.

The moment we arrived at Hampton Inn, we felt like royalty. A specific employee by the name of Portland, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable; letting us know where everything in the hotel is located, parking our car, cracking jokes and listening to our needs; a very simple, but refreshing act of service. Their security guard was probably the nicest guard I've met. He gave us tips where to go,  he even offered to take a picture of  my wife and I on our way to the wedding.
The room was nicely upgraded, with absolutely no complaints. The hotel is within walking distance to many downtown attractions. For the price we paid, we were beyond impressed
All in all, a wonderful stay, and we would DEFINITELY recommend this to anyone, and we will DEFINITELY return!

Awesome hotel! Friendly staff, free breakfast, clean hotel, plenty of parking and nice business center. It is not as old looking as the Drury hotel nearby that I have used. Can't wait to go back!

After a string of iffy hotel stays on this trip, I availed myself of the wifi at the rest stop and pegged this place as where we'd stay for our day in St Louis - and so glad I did. Great location (walk to the Arch), *great* pool, friendly staff, very decent hot breakfast bar (compris), clean, cushy room with an Arch view, comfy beds and extra pillows. Very happy me.

The first room I was given was already being occupied.  The person was not there, but all of their stuff was, including a laptop I could see on the bed.  Luckily for that person, I am not a thief.  THAT SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN!  Train your hotel staff to do a better job!!!! NOT SECURE!!!!!

Room:  The (2nd) room was quite large. The bathroom was huge.  Everything was pretty clean.

Noise: I was on the 15th floor, however the traffic below was LOUD LOUD LOUD LOUD LOUD LOUDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD.  Unless you are deaf, you likely won't get a good night's sleep at this hotel.

Location:  It is downtown, near all the attractions.

With the noise and the security concerns, I won't be staying here again nor can I recommend it to others.

We wanted a room with a view of the Arch & we got it!
The room was clean & the service was friendly to boot :)
Nice location with the arch, shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Bars are not close enough to cause pandemonium near the hotel, but close enough so that your cab ride home won't cost you an arm and a leg. Those appendages are important :)

Overall good experience!

The hotel is located in an ideal location downtown, by the arch, close to several great restaurants/bars, right off the 70. The breakfast is great (love the waffles!). The staff are entertaining and accommodating. The downsides are that it feels like an older hotel, the elevators are slow, and while the parking feels secure, there are not enough parking spots and the spots are tight.

With the exception of the parking (which was paid..$12 for the night and in a very, very small parking lot) this hotel was top-notch.

I'm actually use to way, WAY, way crappier hotels/motels being as most of the time I'm just passing through a city on the way to one coast or the other.

This one was great though, it was impeccably clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and there was plenty of room for us to just chill.

And best of all you cannot beat the location. We walked the the Gateway Arch in less than 5 minutes and the football stadium was right outside our window!

First things first: this is a great value, and a great location. We came here for the AMA Supercross race at the Edward Jones Dome. Forty thousand people, downtown STL.  Parking is $14/a day - cheaper than any "event" parking. We were at most two blocks away from the Dome. So - no end-of-event insanity driving to the western suburbs, a close and quiet room, nicely appointed, wifi included, free coffee around the clock. Front desk staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly - given the fact that they were at 100% occupancy, that was very good. Yes, the rate was high - but with our AAA discount, it was only about $50 more than Red Roof was, and we saved $10 on parking! We didn't get to use the pool, and we slept through the complimentary breakfast, so can't comment on that. But the beds were great, the water pressure in the showers (a real bugaboo for me) was good, the sheets and linens were above average, the view of the Arch was wonderful, and everything was spotless. We were pre-checked-out, receipt delivered to our room overnight. If a hotel can deliver that on maximum-capacity weekends, we'll be back, for sure.

I was extremely impressed with this location! We arrived early in the morning and the staff found us a room way before check in time! The rooms are clean, the breakfast is very satisfying and the attractions are close by!

The staff was very knowledgeable was very friendly and able to answer any question I had. The staff also set up transportation for a ride to the airport...again very professional and all went soothly!

I look forward to coming back to St. Louis...would stay here again and again! Loved the Irish Pub on location as well!

For some reason, everytime I needed a room in downtown St. Louis, the Hampton Inn is more expensive than either of the Hilton Downtown or Hilton at the Ballpark. However, I did end up staying there on night because I wanted to get annihilated at Laclede's and didn't want to drive all the way back to Arnold. Decided I'd just stroll in and get a room but both Hilton's were booked. And by booked, I mean I am a diamond VIP and they still couldn't accomodate me. And they have moved people to other hotels for diamond VIP's if they haven't checked in yet.

So I ended up getting a room at the Hampton Inn which is literally a block away for a little more money. Gotta say that the Hampton Inn is still very nice. The one here is a lot nicer than some of the other Hampton Inn's I've stayed at in the country. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Though not as comfortable as the ones at the Hilton but I did get a very nice sleep after walking the nice girl out of my room in the early morning. The funny thing was that she was actually staying at the Hampton Inn too.

You do have to pay for parking. Not sure what the price was but I do know a parking garage right across from the Hilton Downtown that is $3 for the night so I park there instead.

The location of the hotel is pretty solid. It's literally a 2 minute walk to Laclede's and they have a restaurant downstairs where you can pregame hard and get some food in your stomach which is what my friends and I did that night. They got a room at the Best Western which is a little bit further from where we were partying and they did envy me not having to walk further at the end of the night. Well. They also envied the fact that I had a hot brunette around my arm too. Probably more so than them having to walk further to pass out.

GREAT location! A reasonable price at that. Close to both stadiums, arch, and downtown life. Comfy beds, good complimentary breakfast, and responsive maintenance when we had an issue with our shower.

I feel tat 4 stars was a bit high. Just spent the weekend there. The hotel was very clean, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. However, one morning there was no hot water and on another day the housekeeping showed up around 6:30pm after we had been out all day. It wasn't a bad stay, just not my greatest experience with hotel stays.

Convenient location just a short walk to the Arch, Lacledes Landing, America's Center, the Edward Jones Dome (Rams stadium) and the Lumiere Place casino.  Clean, comfortable rooms with a friendly staff.  Parking is a bit expensive at $12/day.

The room was very nice and quiet.  They initially gave me a room next to the elevator.  I have had issues at other hotels with the noise from the guests entering and leaving the elevator early in the morning waking me up so I asked if they could move me to another room.  The staff was able to quickly accommodate my request.

In the morning they have a decent hot breakfast buffet: oatmeal, muffins, waffles, coffee, juice, etc.
In addition to the breakfast buffet served in the basement, they have an "On the Go" breakfast available in paper bags in the lobby.  The bag included an apple, a breakfast bar, mints and a bottle of water.  They have an indoor pool, exercise room and a small arcade all on the same floor.   There is a view of the St Louis Arch from the pool area.

LoactionLocation location.

Rooms are available with a stunning view of the Arch along the river.  1 block from casino, 3 blocks to the Arch.  1 block from football dome.  3 blocks to americas center.  Free newspaper, clean rooms. Friendly staff.

tight parking lot at a $12 per night kind of sucks.

I am a Hilton Honors member and I usually like what I get at Hampton inns, but this was an exception. The facility was fine and the staff at check - in were nice. However , as a HH member I request a room on a high floor far away from the elevator. I got the first floor  next to the elevator. I realize that sometimes they can't accommodate the preferences. But, at 5:00 am I heard the treadmill running and the runners pounding on the treadmill. My room was also right next to workout room.  I told the woman when I checked out and she barely apologized. So, don't stay in Room 508 and you should be just fine.

My boyfriend and I stayed here a few nights ago and its a very nice place. Comfy beds, friendly staff, good breakfast, fairly easy to find. All in all a pretty nice place! Our only issue is that they charge for parking, $14. Which we later found out was really steep. Now maybe other times of year its harder to park but we saw all day parking for $5-$10 all over the city. We felt a little jipped.

I noticed something new about Hampton/Hilton properties over the past week...  Everyone on the staff is friendly saying Hello, Have a good day, good morning, etc.  and when I say everyone, I mean everyone!  This hotel is older, but adequate with good amenities and a nice view of the arch.  Would recommend for a short stay.

Fantastic staff!  I stayed here recently for work, and enjoyed my nights.  The staff were personable and very professional.  Pricing was reasonable for a medium range downtown hotel.  Fitness area is a bit small but has the needed equipment, 2 treads, 2 ellipticals and an assortment of dumb bells.  Breakfast was great, good starches, and fruits.  A typical Hamptons hotel, but definitely distinguished by an excellent staff.  Kudos!

Wonderful hotel with fantastic service! My husband and I used this hotel for our wedding block. Not only was there no charge to hold 30 rooms for our guests, but when we filled those they added a few more for us. Price was very reasonable for being in the middle of downtown. I think on our wedding night our group used 1/3 of the hotel.

The service was great. All the staff we encountered were welcoming and helpful, all the way down to the people cleaning rooms. We found out later that two of our guests (who don't know each other) had both requested random pictures be placed in their rooms for their arrival. One of dogs and one of a 90s tv character. Both requests were honored with a sense of humor! Can't praise the staff enough.

The whole hotel was nicely decorated and spotless. Breakfast was good, pool and hot tub were nice with a great view of the arch. The arch view rooms have a full view of the arch. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to St. Louis and looking for a place near downtown, the arch, the football stadium, the convention center, or Laclede's Landing.

Front desk staff was very helpful with pointing us in the right direction for food. Beautiful view of the arch from the 9th floor (but you pay for it). Elevators are a little scary, and the hot tub jets didn't work at the time of my stay. Otherwise, very cozy!

First of all... you can't miss it, just make your way to the arch.  It is in a place where you can easily walk to many things.  Second, the staff here have to be the friendliest bunch I have ever met.  And it wasn't just some of the staff... it was all of the staff: the front desk, the maintenance guys, and even the ladies putting breakfast out in the morning!

So why only four stars... I had a super lumpy bed which made it quite uncomfortable to sleep on.  Our air conditioner seemed to cool the room a bit, but it was always sticky and muggy inside.  WiFi was a bit spotty in my room... which complicated things further because apparently I wasn't receiving cellular coverage in my room either.

Otherwise, the one cup coffee brewer in our room was awesome.  The view was great and parking was fairly cheap ($14 per night... compared to some places at $45).  Breakfast was really good!  Highly recommend their French Toast Sticks!!!!  Seriously addicting.  Or you can make your own waffle.  And they have a lovely Irish Pub/Restaurant downstairs that has good food!  There is a refrigerator in the room, but I didn't realize that you could put water and things in it... I thought I would get charged for opening it... oops.  And on the table between the two beds, there was a convenient plug in with four plugs and two USB plug ins... this way you don't have to crawl behind the bed.  If you are looking for a place to stay, I would highly recommend it.

I stayed here for one night during the middle of the week on my way to California. I had a great view of the arch from my room. The breakfast was free, and there was a huge room to accommodate everyone. The staff was friendly and nice. The guy at the front desk was funny and joking around with me because I was wearing a redsox 2013 World Series shirt (they beat St. Louis). The location was great, short walk to the arch and Busch stadium. The rams dome is also right next door to. One of my favorite cities I've been to and nothing to complain about during my stay.

Great hotel and value!  Super friendly staff; free hot breakfast (eggs, ham, waffles, etc). Located 2 blocks from Edward Jones Dome and a short walk to Busch Stadium and the Arch. I liked that the parking ramp was very secure (parking fee was $14). Very comfortable beds and pillows. The only issue I had was that the elevators were rather slow.

This hotel is really close to the arch which is probably it's best amenity. It was only about a 10 minute walk. The room itself was decent but nothing special. There's an indoor pool which we didn't check out and they have free hot breakfast which was okay but we only ate it once and went out the other two mornings.

If I were to visit STL again I would probably stay in a hotel a little farther west in a different neighborhood...perhaps with more restaurants, bars, and attractions within walking distance. But it was nice to see the beautiful arch every time came or went from the hotel and it wasn't a far drive, metro ride, or walk from most places we wanted to go.

Wonderful hotel, was cheerfully great as the customer of the day which came as a surprise, small gift bag of goodies was waiting for me when I arrived, location is excellent to down town, room was clean and smelled clean unlike others I've stayed at that requires a can of air spray.    Breakfast was nice and wide variety to choose from, even had a table reserved for us which was a nice surprise.   Highly recommend this hotel.

The lobby is nice, but the room was depressing as shit. The lighting and the setup of the room was so gloomy. Biggest issue with the room was the carpeting. The carpeting was so unappealing and unfortunately it was the first thing I noticed when I walked in. It seemed old and dirty. Please change the carpeting. Like, please. Like, now! Lol The comp breakfast was pretty OK, the sausage patty was kinda like Mcds breakfast sausage patty, it was good.

So tonight I am in the "nicest room" as they say. Not very impressed especially at $149 a night although top floor corner with a Arch view is nice. Think it's time to check out the newer properties, I'm curious if the bed frames will fit the mattresses there.

Megan and Nejra (as well as the entire Hampton Inn crew) were absolutely fantastic! Upon check-in, we were greeted with smiling faces and a warm welcome. When they found out that we were on our honeymoon, they upgraded us to an arch-view room! After that, they gave us two drink tickets to Morgan Street Brewery as well as a gift card to their hotel bar. And THEN, if that wasn't already more than enough, they knocked on our door and brought up a sweet goodie bag and sparkling wine with 2 glasses! We were blown away- they did everything they could to make sure we had a wonderful stay...and we did!
The continental breakfast was the best free hotel breakfast we've ever seen- hot eggs, potatoes, plenty of fruit and pastries, cereal and yogurt. Tons of options!
Lastly, the room was modern, clean and the bed was super comfy! If we could give extra stars we would!
