Great place to stay rooms are updated. Restaurant has a full menu but a little small. Meeting rooms are large and the staff is very helpful. Bar is full most nights with good specials and Wednesday is sales happy hour with free drinks 2 and food. A must for any travler in the area.

The worst holiday inn I have ever been, its a disgrace to the brand. This is a 70's days inn with motel like walk ups, with the center converted to a 'resort' area with a ping pong table and air hockey and game arcade. Its probably good for kids but all the rooms face this area which means the noise will be coming through into your rooms.. constantly!

There is absolutely no windows to the outside so there is no light coming in.

The bathroom is made of tiles and is quite moldy and nasty!

Overall, not a bad joint. The price was a little steep considering they don't have refrigerators and microwaves in all of the rooms. The indoor pool with jacuzzi and wade pool was awesome.  It's heated and has a mini game room to occupy young ones.

Internet is sketchy at best.  But it is free.  House keeping bugged us really early around 9:00. Checkout isn't until 12:00, so don't wake me up at 9:00 asking me if I want towels.

Not a bad joint though.  Nicely located and easy to find too.

My grandparents lived in St.Louis when I was a kid. This is where we always stayed when we visited. As a kid I always had a blast at this hotel. There is so much to do. Swimming, ping pong, billiards, arcade. The rooms were always nice. You are a short drive away from downtown.

I finally created a yelp profile (long overdue) just to write this review.

Yes this hotel is like a relic from a forgotten time. Like the days of YMCA vacations and summer camp. Good times. The beds were comfortable, the rooms clean, (with a lingering aroma of tobacco smoke from long ago in the halls) the game room was fun, The restaurant was fine with a decent amount of fried options to wash down with a beer.

The manager (Theresa) and really all of the staff were amazing.
Many from my family were staying at this hotel because of a tragic death in the family and its proximity to the place where the service was to take place.

I have never seen hotel staff go so above and beyond for people. Strangers.
Theresa wrote a very heartfelt letter of condolence to the whole family. The entire staff signed another sympathy card. She even found the obituary on-line, made copies, laminated them, and then cut them out with zigzag scissors.

They tolerated our bitter sweet, and at times probably annoying, family reunion that went on into the late hours, literally revolving around the ping pong table.

    Thank you.
Next time i visit the area (under happier circumstances) you will be at the top of my list for places to stay.

Very nice hotel...old school with a holidome.  I was sold on the place when it still had a tabletop pac man machine. This is a perfect hotel for families.

Slightly outdated but provides many amenities for families if you have kids. Indoor and outdoor pool, ping pong table, arcade games. For the business traveler though, I'd suggest a different hotel.

And for any health conscious travelers, not one piece of equipment (treadmills and ellipticals) worked in their fitness center. Nor did the A/C on the fitness center...

Showr curtains torn. Outdated temperature control in the rooms. Faulty TVs...

On first impression I didn't think it was a bad hotel, on conclusion of my first night, a pretty big let down.

Was in the area over the weekend for a family reunion and most of the family was staying in this hotel.  The location of the hotel was very convenient, about 15 minutes from downtown St. Louis and 15 minutes from the zoo which my daughter loved.  Just wish it wasn't so hot while we were there so we could have enjoyed it more.  The rooms were clean and the beds actually comfortable, I need to have a soft bed.

The indoor and outdoor pools were great.  They had a special game area that had some arcade machines, ping pong, air hockey and some other stuff.  My daughter and I had a blast in that area almost every night, she's still talking about it.  Probably the best part about the hotel is after 8:00pm they have milk and cookies, this was so not expected but was just awesome.

The restaurant they had was pretty good, the waitstaff was very friendly.  My daughter was helping the waitress and she actually gave my daughter $1 tip for helping clear the table which I thought was cute.

This was a great hotel, we want to visit St. Louis again when we have more time to explore and will be staying at this hotel.
