I know, I know...a Holiday Inn is a Holiday Inn, right?  Well...not so much.

When my sister got married she wanted to have a nice wedding.  That said, my family is not exactly made of money so we had to figure out where we could balance both the desire to have a nice wedding and the desire not to take a loan for a wedding.

I'm pretty sure this is the best deal in town when it comes to wedding receptions.  I'm not lying.  For $20 a person, (depends on which meals you choose, it could be cheaper or more expensive, this is ballpark/average) you get the D.J., the room for 5 hours, dinner (and I have to say the food was actually quite delicious), open bar, and cake.  I mean come on...can you imagine a better deal?

And I know you are saying, sure, it's cheap, but it's in a Holiday Inn in South County.  Ok, well, you are right.  But, it's actually quite nice and imagine how nice it is after 5 hours of an open bar to just walk to the elevator and go to sleep upstairs.  the rooms are actually quite nice too, and a very good price for any out of town guests you have at the wedding, or if you aren't having your wedding, just for a place to have out of town guests stay.  The deal was so good and the facilities so nice in fact that my friend Mary, (a bridesmaid in the wedding) and her now husband decided to have THEIR reception there last summer when they got married.

One word of warning however:  The stage for the wedding party does not go all the way to the wall.  Why is this an issue you ask?  Well, remember that open bar?  Well, imagine what can happen with half a stage and a slightly drunk groomsman.  We are still laughing about that incident to this day.

Had a great 2 night stay for a business trip.  Staff were very polite and helpful, room was excellent, and the breakfast was great. I will definitely be staying again!

I've stayed here several times in the past, but this is likely my last. Although the price is right and the location fits my needs, I think I'll go a bit further out for a free breakfast buffet or maybe further into the City to be closer to the action.

During this stay, housekeeping missed cleaning my room entirely. Lots of construction noise during the day. I've never gone to the restaurant because it always seems closed.

I am platinum with Holiday Inn and while this hotel has just been overhauled the general concerns have not been addressed. I checked out two days early b/c of Internet functionality (I called the service and desk no less than 9 times in 2 days), cleanliness (food on floor outside suite) and overall organization (food breakfast and dinner was aweful - microwaveable steak Really!) this was my second and last attempt here.

Nice place to stay! We stayed there 3 nights it was very clean and the staff was great. Looks like some of it was newly remodeled but there and some things they still need to fix like our dripping shower (all night) only good thing we could not hear it unless you were in the bathroom

I would stay there again!!

In a pinch, (or our case a blizzard), it'll do. Easy on and off the highway and a large pool area. Management had to host two boys hockey teams stranded by the weather, and while they ran out of food...hotel staff was extremely courteous and accommodating. The manager even jumped our truck the next morning in subzero temps with his own cables and car...now that's service!

Room was comfortable and clean.  Maid service was pleasant.  Hot tub & pool area is in need of serious update,  we were able to get in there on Friday evening,  hot tub was lukewarm at best.  Then the entire pool area was closed Saturday morning through Monday.  Kids were pretty bummed.  I went to the bar for a cocktail.  They had my favorite drink,  Cosmopolitan on their menu so I ordered one.  The bartender tells me she is going to use peach schnapps instead of orange liquor.  I politely said no,  she said well all we have is Grand Marnier which is on the top shelf (like it was a bother to get it)  I said yes that's what you're supposed to use.  She proceeds to make my martini as a cocktail in a pint mixer with ice.  She took a spoon & tasted it &  said oh that's too strong & added more juice.  First of all martinis are supposed to be strong that's why they cost $10,  second a martini should be served in a martini glass not a pint glass with ice.  The drink was awful.  She asked how it was & I said not good.  She said oh need more ice? I said no there shouldn't be any ice.  She said oh I never made one before walked away until she brought me my bill.  If you have a drink on your menu your bartenders should know how to make them to perfection period.  Friday evening there was a kid party going on in the room next door from 2am to 4 Am.  When I complained they said oh security could have gone up there.  Well if you have security why aren't they walking the halls throughout the night? Making sure you don't have wild parties going on? I shouldn't have to get up & call. Next time I stay in St Louis this hotel will not be an option.

Rooms are fairly normal for Holiday Inn, Staff was friendly and helpful. We ate at the restaurant while there and were very surprised, the options were small however the food was cooked and spiced very well!.

Was here for a wedding reception, it was just a typical banquet hall, nothing too fancy. Staff was very polite and nice though!

The staff is friendly, but the rest of the stay was awful. We got  to our room, and were greeted by a group of young men loitering outside our door. I wouldn't have cared if the hallway hadn't reeked of the pot they were smoking. The bathroom door had a fist-shaped hole punched in it, filled with a glob of wood putty that had been applied pretty badly. You could still see the shape of the fist that punched the hole. The wall next to the desk had spatters where liquid had been splashed and no one ever bothered to clean it. The TV was a nice flat screen, on a stand, but the stand allows you to see the cabinet it's sitting on - including the fact that the cabinet behind the TV hadn't been dusted in a long time. The second night of our stay, the hooligan crew turned the hallway into a scream fest, banging doors, yelling, and taking the metal cover from a room service tray to use as a frisbee in the hall, bouncing it off walls and doors. Never again. Ever.

The rooms are very comfortable and the workout room is functional and the equipment is nicely taken care of. The hotel is newly remodeled. The hotel includes a restaurant and they have happy hour specials. In the morning they serve hot coffee in the lobby. Breakfast is for purchase, buffet style in the restaurant/dining area. Lots of parking in front. I would stay here again.

The past few years this hotel has been the host of our USO trivia night.  They have done a great job working with the organizers of the event to bring a night that is filled with fun and friends while raising money for a great cause.

The room is always clean and set up for the event in a good condition.  I wish there were bathrooms closer to the room but you will have to walk to the front of the event center to get to them.

The staff is friendly and welcoming.
