What a nice, cute boutique hotel!  My friend and I went up for a baseball game and chose this hotel for its great location!  The hotel is in walking distance of the ball park which is another plus!  The hotel has newly opened and it is gorgeous!  The staff is helpful and friendly and Wendy the bartender was great!  She was so friendly and made our evening after the game even more fun.   I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting St. Louis!

I stayed at the Magnolia for three nights and experienced the best service with the daytime front desk staff! Extremely accommodating! The hotel itself is super cute and they have an amazing happy hour! The bartenders at the hotel were also fantastic!

Pros:  Breakfast was free and actually available.  THe car service was great.  They have a Tesla and will drive you anywhere w/in a 5-mile radius.  They will also pick you up for the return trip.  The driver was great as well.  It was a very easy walk to the ballpark as well.  Wifi didn't require any login, that can be a pain.

Cons:  Check-in staff was misinformed (gave wrong breakfast time, even after I checked and the other desk employee gave correct time).  There was a toilet brush in the middle of the room upon check-in.  We were told the tap was broken during the 'evening reception', so there was no beer.  The restaurant is set up more like a lounge.  It is not very comfortable to sit there and eat.  The last part, I'm not sure who to blame:  I wanted two beds, and Hotwire said to check with the hotel upon check-in.  The desk said you need to check with Hotwire.  I actually called the hotel before it opened and made the request.  I was told that she would check, then never heard back.

Other than the driver and the breakfast staff, the customer service here needs some work.

Such a BEAUTIFUL hotel! I travel quite a bit for work and ended up getting stuck in St Louis for a night, I was able to get a room last minute and was very well taken care of. I LOVE a good turn down service, which Magnolia does well. They have a great bar/lounge area with friendly staff and really yummy food! It was a pleasant, unexpected stay in St. Louis. Also- the beds are SO SO SO comfortable! I will definitely be staying here the next time I am in the area.

We were not familiar with Magnolia, but found it on a groupon & decided to check it out.  We really, really enjoyed it & are glad we got to stay here before everyone else discovers it too!  The decor is beautiful, the rooms are clean, the drinks are good, and the staff is extremely friendly, not to mention is right near a lot of activity downtown.  I have no doubt Magnolia's popularity is going to catch on fast & soon enough it will be hard to get a room, but as of now we were very pleased with our experience & very happy with the price we got.  Thanks Magnolia!

As a business traveler it is not often that I am pleasantly surprised by a hotel experience. Exceptional staff, a recent remodel that is just stunning and wonderful rooms. We were there for 4 nights. It was walking distance to the america center and way better than the other hotels in the area. This is a great hotel run by super friendly people who go out of their way to make your stay a good one. Genuinely refreshing.

This hotel was mentioned by a coworker who stumbled upon it and, after years of staying at one of two other hotels in St Louis, I decided to give it a try. I don't think those other two hotels will see much of me anymore (and they were great). Magnolia has such a charm about it. They kept the beautiful elements of the prior Mayfair hotel, adding in contemporary touches to make it sleek and cool. The rooms are amazing and so nice for my work travel away from home, giving me a bit more room and an at home feel. And most importantly the staff has been amazing. Rare do I find an aesthetically pleasing hotel with nice staff and similar people also staying there to enjoy wine with at the hotel bar before retreating to my comfortable room. Kudos, Magnolia.

Liked almost everything about this place.  The staff was very friendly, the rooms are big, and you can't complain with free beer and wine for happy hour.
Our only complaint was the plumbing.  Whenever someone would shower, a very loud vibrating noise would come from the walls.  We thought this was an isolated thing until someone on the elevator said the same thing happened to him.

I stayed here 3 nights for a conference. Location is good: you can walk to America's Center in about 2 minutes and it is walking distance to a few good restaurants on Washington Ave. The food selection is good and reasonably priced and the bar staff is very friendly. Nice TV in the room with a good array of channels.

I stayed in a room that was on a lower floor and the view out of the window wasn't more than the building next door a few feet away. Not a problem for me as I wasn't in the room that much, but do ask about staying on a higher floor or along a street-facing room if that would bother you.

Best boutique hotel ever. Check in was fantastic- valet? Yes - free happy hour? Oh yes - cookies and milk before bed? Heavenly! Free car service? Did they say TESLA??? Bad azz. The room is huge. The decor and renovation is stunning. The bed feels like I died and went to the A-list part of heaven.

The service is incredible. The ladies at check in are awesome, bartender Amy is fantastic and driver Kevin is the iron man of drivers.

This is just day 1. I can't imagine the epic day two. This place is not haunted at all. I just woke and haven't even tried their free breakfast or fancy coffee.   I woke up in afterglow.

Day 2: the breakfast is great and the staff is nice. I ordered a scrambled eggs breakfast and it was perfect. The hotel was even better on day 2.  We never had to use a taxi because the super incredible staff reserved the tesla for us and we could plan our day. The driver, Kevin, was on time and very nice.

I don't want to leave. I'm so happy here I wish I could stay forever.   Laying in bed while I write this review, it's so comfortable.

Best experience at a hotel ever! Not only was the place gorgeous and full of historical charm, the staff were absolutely amazing. So kind and friendly. Our suit was beautiful and clean, the food we had was delicious. Not a single complaint. Will stay here in the future and highly recommend for anyone wanting to have a stress free weekend! :)

Beautiful. And ... Above and beyond service here. I left my cell phone at a restaurant down the street (yes I'm embarrassed) but they went to get it and bring to me. THAT'S Service!!!!!!

I really like this boutique hotel in downtown St. Louis. They have a beautiful modern lobby and bar, while keeping the old stained glass. A very nice mix of the new and old that really represents St. Louis today. It's in a great location, too, for downtown sightseeing. I'm impressed with their very large posh rooms, which is not commonly found in old hotel remodels. Everyone has been very friendly and helpful here, and I love the late-nite cookies and milk in the bar. I'm super impressed! And highly recommend!! Found absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel.

Found the Magnolia hotel on the Expedia app! They were 25% off for the night and they were close to the wedding reception we had to go to, so let do it!  101 bucks after taxes and extras!  Not bad!  Downtown! Let's do it!

Now this is not a review of the Expedia app but if it was I would say 1 star because they had not sent the info for our room yet!  They sent me a confirmation but not the hotel!  Lucky for us, the front desk man got it figured out and we were in!
    I appreciated it!

The rooms are cool, very sleek and modern, nice couches, comfy beds, great tv, nice bathrooms!  These rooms have been re-designed and awesome!  There is a free hot breakfast! Free drink happy hour, and free cookies and milk from 8 to 10!

The lobby is pretty small, but the restaurant bar was great! And the staff was top notch!

No parking lot here, but they do have valet parking for 25 bucks, not bad for downtown St. Lou in a safe spot and you can just send them a text and they have your car ready in 10 minutes!
Good stuff here! I would stay here again for this price!

    OMG! I LOVED this HOTEL!!!

I recently relocated to Scottsdale AZ from IL and decided to 'Roadtrip It'. St. Louis was my first stop along the way and I booked my room on Hotels.com . Got a super deal, under $100, and it was worth EVERY penny!

GREAT location, close to the Arch, and from the moment you walk in it SCREAMS 'Elegance'!! Very friendly desk staff told me that I had '3 minutes' until Happy Hour ended which was a 'free' glass of wine, so I high-tailed it to the spectacular bar where I met some fabulous and friendly people (shout out to Dayna and Bartender Stephanie!:-)). Stayed for more than 1 glass and, by then, it was time for Cookies & Milk! Yum!!

When I went to my room, I was astonished! It was a SUITE including a full living room and walk-thru bathroom with a separate Vanity counter and private shower/toilet. The bed was a King and SO comfortable I slept like a BABY!

The next morning I went to the Fitness Room for my daily workout and found it well-maintained and functional with enough equipment to get in a good workout before I hit the road to Oklahoma City (I'm a Personal Trainer and a good workout is how I start EVERY day:-))

Breakfast was included and FABULOUS! A wonderful variety to choose from and Modi, the waitress, was a HOOT!

If I had 1 'negative' thing to say, it would be that the Valet service was outrageously priced ($28/night) for guests. My recommendation, park at the Renaissance garage on 9th St. It's covered and costs only $16 and is a quick 1-block walk to the Magnolia:-)

If I ever find myself in St. Louis, there is only 1 place I will stay..The Magnolia!
