Right now it is getting 3 stars for being the basic hotel, that is providing me a cheap place to sleep.  I was supposed to be in Madison, WI right now, but due to weather I got stuck here in St Louis.

After I got a flight out tomorrow morning (all flights are canceled to Madison) the next step was to find a place that I could sleep and be on the internet (hey a girl's got to have her priorities.)  While I was on the phone with the office a lady came around to help us stranded travelers out.  She gave us vouchers for the Ramada for $42.  (Just looked at the prices, original price $89 for one person.)   So I ended up here instead of the Marriott.

The shower is good.   The heater works very well.  The Wi-Fi is free.  And there is Showtime to entertain me.  So it works for me.  It could be nicer, but right now I just want to have a place to be comfortable and the Ramada is providing me that.

I would give them 1 star but the only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is for the person at the front desk who helped with the directions on how to get there and his service when we got there was with a smile.

Do not use the GPS to find this place, it will give you the wrong directions. Horrible! The guy at the front desk explained why but this should be fixed, very irritating when you are tired with a baby trying to find this place.

Now on to the hotel itself, it is not well maintained. The hallways really need some work done, it scares me a bit every time I walk down the hallway, seems like it's from a scary movie scene or reminds me of a scary movie. The room was okay, it seems like they tried to spice it up with some new accessories, but it was still a regular hotel but a bit crappy. The AC worked, the bathroom was okay didn't use the shower though. And the walls are not that thick. You can hear your neighbors a bit.

Overall, I would find another place to stay at even if I have to pay a little bit more. (Our one night stay was about $50)

While we got a terrific deal on this hotel via Hotels.com , it definitely took a discount off of the Ramada.com rate in order for the stay to be worth it.  With tiny bloodstains on the sheets, half-sheets, running out of breakfast milk, a tablecloth restaurant where the host is the waiter and the chef, and cheaper soaps and shampoos, the hotel is definitely cutting some corners.  However, the service still comes with a smile and the staff won't hesitate to help fix any problems you complain about.

The coolest thing about the hotel was that the showers were using shower curtain hooks use a Hookless Flex-On design that's pretty nifty.
