This review is for the lobby bar.  Top notch bartenders Tom and Jarod,  whether you're a local that comes in once a week or you're in from out of town staying in the hotel no two bartenders in town can compare.  I'll meet my girlfriend for cocktails before diner and sometimes we stay and eat there, good food for a hotel, and btw I stay at a lot of hotels.  Stop by and check it out it's off the circuit as far as bars are concerned but it's a great place to have a drink or two.

Booked a room on Priceline for $75 and it was definitely worth it.   Pool isn't great, but rooms had been redone recently and are quite nice.

Relative to other Marriotts, this one is old and ghetto- they are in the process of remodeling, but the room I had sucked. It was also right next to the service elevator so every time one went by, I got to hear that- not to mention loud chatter in Spanish early in the morning. To top it all off- the construction was supposed to start at 9AM, but instead the hammering woke me up at 7- when I complained they didn't even give me a few points by way of apology. Lastly, the location sucks- there is nothing around but the hotel. I may try them again after they remodel, but first impressions are distinctly negative.

I stay here a lot when in STL on business so I cannot really comment on how good of a deal this place is since the money spent when staying here is not coming out of my pocket. I believe the rooms have recently been redone (maybe not all floors). But all of the rooms I have been in have had great beds, nice TVs and good heating / cooling controls. The concierge lounge is pretty standard if you have access to that. The bar / restaurant in the lobby is solid if you do not feel like leaving the hotel as the restaurant selection in the immediate area of the hotel is pretty limited. The check in and check out process here is quick and easy.  Overall a very solid Marriott.

If you're here, you're probably on business and not a tourist in St. Louis. Here's the lowdown based on my stay the last few nights:

-Pros: Service, rate, location depending on where your meeting is, shuttle if you loath rental cars like I do, good concierge lounge in this age where these lounges are evaporating, exceptional internet speed (free internet to boot) 1.79Mb/s down speedtest.net/result/712…

-Cons: Restaurant is ok, Gym is a classic Marriott afterthought (crap compared to Hilton)

Based on comparables in the area, this was 3.5 star, rounding up because of service. All in all, I'd stay here again if I was back in the area.

Really has all the basics... staff, showers, internet, beds... with the added benefits of a restaurant, pool, quiet location back away from the highway, and plenty of parking.

Once the ice maker beeping was fixed, it's a great hotel! Quiet, beautiful area.

I stay here often for business trips.  One of the nicer Marriott hotel's in STL area.  Customer service is good and rooms are clean!  Concierge room is updated and food is better than some!

I've stayed here twice on business, the restaurant on site has very poor service but the hotel itself is great. Concierge lounge is above average. Rooms are clean and what you would expect. Good location, close to walking paths and has a good fitness center.

Very nice hotel, pleasant staff, clean, nicely-appointed and maintained. Don't let them put you on the 2nd floor, if you can help it!  My room was right over the lobby and I was awakened by all kinds of irritating noises starting at 4am. The bar service is top notch.  And I had two really delicious meals - grilled halibut with an herb olive sauce, and grilled salmon. Both served with a truly fabulous creamy herb polenta. It's always such a delight when hotel food exceeds your expectations!

If you go, be sure to take advantage of the pond path... it's something like 2 miles around a couple of lovely man-made ponds.  Geese, squirrels, cardinals and turtles are all there to make you feel like you're walking through the woods.

This hotel is a hidden Gem.. I have been coming to St Louis for a few years and usually stay in the Clayton area near the mall.. about a month ago I discovered this hotel.  It is very secluded and very upscale.  It is quietly hidden in an office community/residential.  Nice landscaping and trees all around.  It is a gorgeous property.  The pool is incredible for a hotel, the bar is awesome. the rooms are clean and updated and very nice.  Entire hotel is top notch.
