Is now a Doubletree, and totally remodeled. The inviting fireplace, and warm delicious cookie they hand you when you check in is a perfect indicator of the hospitality here. They value it, and it shines through everything they do. Comfortable. Quiet. Clean. Classic. A great place to stay while in the triange.

Occasion: New Hire Orientation

Location: Super close to the airport. Complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport and to all our training places. It's located in RTP (Research Triangle Park) so it seems pretty industrial. Everyone staying at the hotel seemed to be there because of work. I wasn't able to explore much outside of the hotel/training but supposedly their shuttles can take you out within 5 miles or so? It didn't seem like much in the area. Super quiet and small. But it was nice, no busy traffic or anything.

Rooms: Decoration of the hotel is pretty standard. Gorgeous outside view of trees and indoors had your computers, fireplaces, and they also have a pool and gym. Depending on what kind of room you get, I believe you could end up with a solo room or a joint room (door between two rooms). My room was pretty spacious (esp for one person). Two beds, big bathroom. NOTE: I did not see a fridge/microwave so don't plan on bringing back leftovers. One thing I didn't like was that it seemed like the blankets were missing a comforter or something but it was fine since you can turn up the heat.

Restaurant: They have a bar and a restaurant downstairs open from 630-11. I pretty much ate there the whole time. The food itself was mediocre. I really liked their Caroline Cobb salad (I got iceberg lettuce instead) and their lobster mac and cheese appetizer was humongous in portion *deff good to share*. I also got their new york strip which unfortunately was not very good. It was cooked pretty much well done when I had asked for medium. That being said, my friend who also ordered the same thing, informed our waitress. Best part: our waitress came back and apologized about the food and asked if we wanted something else. By then we were so full so we said no. She even asked if we'd like dessert or maybe another glass of wine so we decided to go with the wine. She also added that the wines would be free of charge. It just really impressed me how far they were willing to work with you to make things better. Which brings me to the best part of my stay here....

SERVICE: Definitely the best part of my stay here. Everyone from reception, shuttle drivers, to the waiters/waitresses. Everyone was so accommodating and friendly, it was hard NOT to like the place. Also bonus: they give you a WARM chocolate chip cookie when you check in. I'm pretty sure that the first cookie everyone gets is devoured in seconds esp after flying.

Very nice hotel and the price is right, too. Only disappointment was room service. Ordered crab cake sandwich with fries and it was supposed to come with cole slaw. Well, no cole slaw arrived and the fries were those curly ones right out of the frozen bag and cold, to boot. Crab cake was soggy and messy. The free cookie at check in sort of made up for it...not quite though.

I've stayed here about 5 times now and I'd come back again.  Some coworkers told me to stay here and they were right.  They have an airport shuttle.  I get free breakfast from my company and free internet.  I always get the custom omelette for breakfast and it's great.  Service is good too.  Never ate lunch or dinner here, but did get a couple drinks at the bar and again service was good.

What a beautiful hotel.  You'd never think of it as an airport hotel.  Beautiful porches with rocking chairs.  Lazy fans over stuffed outdoor couches.  A hotel restaurant and room service.  And the rate was only about $10 more than other more standard airport hotels.  We are so glad we chose this one.

Arrived at 1:30am after a flight delay.  Not their problem but now I'm sitting in the 5th floor hallway while security and the front desk try to work out why my room isn't opening.  You think after a card reset and security trying the master key,  you'd just give me a new room...nope.  Good thing I can sleep in tomorrow -no I can't.  I have a business meeting in 6 hours.

Update- 2:15am.  Still not in a bed or room.  I guess they don't have A/C hallways of hotels.  Never noticed that before.  The need for a shower is becoming obvious.

Gotta wrap this short.  Phone dying.

I've stayed here about 4 times now. The building is decent. Check in was smooth. Rooms are a little dark, but mostly ok. AC is a bit noisy. Overall, though, those elements of the hotel are decent enough.

It's the service in the restaurant that really lets this place down. Last night I sat there in the lounge near the bar while the server did her best to avoid eye contact on at least 3 occasions. Honestly, this work-shy gal could not have cared less. Customers are such a pain in the ass. I eventually got up, complained, then went out of the hotel to eat.

Mez restaurant is just a half mile walk from the front door. I was treated thoughtfully and the food was good. I took Uber back to the hotel for about $4.

As for the Doubletree... fire the lazy restaurant staff. The times I have been successful in getting served the food was ok. Passable, but not that great.

This will be the last stay here for me. There are better options close by.

Recently stayed here for my niece's wedding. The staff was always friendly and accommodating. They were helpful even when we may have been a pain. Always smiling and saying hi. The rooms were nice. Everything was clean. The airport shuttle was so helpful. They got us into our room early which was helpful because we didn't have anywhere else to go at the time.  The
bartender was great. Restaurant staff was friendly. The only downside was I didn't think the restaurant food was great and it was kind of expensive. It was nice to have the choice to eat there though if we didn't want to leave.

With crowds of wedding guests yelling up and down the third floor hallways throughout the night, we called down to reception at 1am, 2am 3am and 3.30am, each time being promised that security would fix the problem. If we had one hour's sleep the entire night, I would be surprised. We cut our trip short and checked out the next morning since nobody at the front desk made any attempt to resolve the issue. This is marketed as a 4-star hotel on Hotwire - these are 3-star accommodations at best (no bath robes, small bathrooms, etc.) Hotel management makes no attempt to control its unruly, drunk guests and stop hallway parties in the small hours. Management here could not care less.

3.5 stars

We landed with this DoubleTree after booking on Hotwire for this year's Halloween night. The only thing that bothered me about this hotel was that it was completely hidden from the main roads, we missed the inconspicuous turn many times. You had to really trek to find the place which also bothered the Uber driver we called to drop us off for Halloween. (Docked 1 star)

Other than that, this hotel was great. The staff promptly checked us in. We landed in one of the king bed rooms on the top floor. The room was clean and modern complete with a leather couch and footrest, desk area, flat screen tv, and comfy bed. The bathroom was also clean but very small and hard to maneuver around. Wish it was a little bigger. (Docked half a star)

Our stay was comfortable other than those details. For the price we received it was worth it. This DoubleTree is also really close to the airport.

Great covered patio, food and generous wine pours. Perfect location for hospitality like the one I attended last night supporting the American Cancer Society featuring cancer survivor, UNC basketball coach, Sylvia Hatchell. Delicious chocolate cookies also.

All around amazing!  The staff is simply excellent!  Everyone actually cares. Doesn't feel like they are there for a paycheck but because they choose to be.  I had a couple issues and they were rectified immediately without acting like I was the problem.

Food? The restaurant is easily the best at any Doubletree I've ever stayed at. Hands down!  Cookies, uhm yes!.Free cookies all day everyday!

Need to get somewhere and you have no car?  Free shuttle! Just ask at the front desk. I'm not sure of the radius. I think it's 5 miles.

Love it! I stay here once a quarter and I'm glad for the opportunity.
