Customer service is poor. Woman at the front desk was unethused and withdrawn. Exceptionally slow service. Left waiting at the desk when we were checking in. Received a handicapped room without being informed. Awful lighting, depressing atmosphere. Bathroom had multiple mutant centipedes that came out while I was in the shower. I would look elsewhere if I were you.

Wouldn't stay here again. The place smells like someone has been smoking in the hallway, elevator and even in the room. There Is very limited breakfast. They even allow pets in this hotel. Carpet seems like never been vacuum at all. Bathroom is dirty with mildew....guess no one is cleaning it. There is no shampoo nor condition in the room. There is only two small bar soap and a tiny packet of dish detergent. I called the front desk and the said you have to go to the front desk for it. My husband went downstairs but they have only shampoo. The funny thing is the dish detergent and the shampoo smelly exactly the same. It is so fithy that my son's allergy is acting up which he hasnt gotten for a couple of years. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE! I recommend Spinghill Suites of Marriott or Double Tree Hotel.

This is now the Extended Stay Deluxe. It isn't Deluxe and it isn't exactly like an Extended Stay either.
The accommodations are fine. The place looks a little poorly cared for, but nothing that interferes with your stay (more finish type stuff). The drain pipe in the bathroom sink does leak a little.
There is a very limited breakfast in the morning, unlike other Extended Stays. It is coffee and bagels.
The internet service is $4.99 a week. It is passable, but a little slow. It's only wireless.
Note: they charged my credit card for the full amount on the first night of my stay.
The room I had was an efficiency (full kitchen, small desk, loveseat). The room is a billed as a suite. I wanted a suite, where I had a bedroom separate from the outer room(s) where I could work. I wanted to be able to allow the wife to sleep while I worked. The room isn't a suite. I can't speak for other rooms in the place, but be warned.
Front desk service was very friendly, informative and efficient.
The area is safe and fairly busy, right on NC54 near I-40.
Prices are about average with the other chains in the area, a little less than the higher-end brands. I got a AAA rate at $76/night.
A final note. I spent much of the week in the room working. The ergonomic chair was more like craponomic. I told them about it on the first day. They never came by to replace the chair. Thankfully the water leak under the sink wasn't a deluge.

We stayed here for a week while in town. While it was ok I would not say the place was well maintained. The room was not what I would call clean when we checked in. There was no towels, the shower curtain had stains on it, the dresser drawers had dirt in them and vanity drawer had water in it.
The weather was extremely hot which brought the locals in for the free outdoor pool. Apparently you do not need to stay in the hotel to swim here.
I have been to worse but would not come back here.

Very Pathetic and rude service. Better stay away. The rooms weren't maintained well enough and when checking with front desk guy.. He very rude and never saw such a bad service.

I was a little disappointed in the place. There are a lot of simple things that could have made the place better. First, is real cleaning. The rugs in the hallways and rooms need steam cleaned or something. And, the chair in my room was stained. It was less stained when I turned over the cushion but this is basic stuff. Speaking of cleaning, they didn't come in and straighten up the room the second day I was in the room. Frankly, I'm cleaner than they are but it's just kind of expected that someone will clean the bathroom. I'm not sure that's ever happened in any hotel I've been in. I also saw a bug in the room. I was on the first floor near the pool so seeing bugs isn't that surprising but seeing one in the room is a little disconcerting.
The internet was free but it wasn't a great connection. They had options to pay for a faster connection but when someone advertises free internet as an encouragement for you to book in the place, then I'm holding them to it!
Not sure about their general clientele either... their damn guests couldn't park! I generally find that people in NC aren't great drivers but the available spots were cut down by guests that consider the white lines to be mere suggestions rather than an actual spot. Plus, their guests aren't clean. The day I checked out, there were fast food bags all over the place. Why were there fast food bags in the parking lot? Because their free breakfast is more of a snack. They had muffins and breakfast bars and instant oatmeal packets. Not impressed.
Pluses... it's a convenient location and the people that work there are nice. But, this isn't a place I would recommend.
