Hotel Indigio is a brand new hotel from the Holiday Inn brand of hotels. It is a custom built modern hotel that has all the mod cons that you would expect. The pool is nice, and the fitness center is a lot better equiped than most hotels I have stayed out but not complete my any means. The hotel has a bar/restaurant which is open until 11pm. The food is standard fare, nothing too fancy. The starbucks counter is nice in the mornings. The best thing about this hotel however is the rooms themselves. They are ultra modern with hardwood floors, flat screen TV's and chick bacthrooms. The beds are very comfy but be warned they are very high off the ground. there are lots of plugs everywhere so if you are a tech head and need power you will find no shortage here. If you are not very agile I would definitely call ahead to make sure they have a suitable room. The price of this hotel is average for a 3 star. I have stayed here a couple of times and payed $100 per night. The British guy at the front desk upgraded my room both times. Just tell him you are a fan of Grimsby Town FC.

I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the hotel.  It was one of the recommended ones by the travel agency automated web service so my expectations were set accordingly.  The room was spacious, the check-in was quick, the food in the in-hotel bar was tasty.  The only drawback, albeit a pretty big one, was the fire alarm going off at 4:40am.  I will stay there again if my travels lead to that area.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel.  It was inexpensive for the area, the rooms were beautiful, there was an indoor pool and acceptable work out room, and staff was very pleasant.  The hotel restaurant is nothing to write home about, but it is OK and this area is certainly not a food mecca, so OK is about all you can expect.

I have a split review here!  The hubby and I were put up here for the night by Delta when our flight was cancelled so a free place to stay was great!  The room was beautiful and the overall look of the hotel was very nice.  Unfortunately that is where the love fest ends!  Decided to grab a bite to eat at the restaurant and what a disappointment.  The tomato basil mozz salad consisted of unripe tomatoes, shredded cheese (KRAFT) and spinach leaves that I think they were trying to pass off as basil and honey roasted nuts...  GROSS to say the least!  Oh and the best part was some kind of raspberry vinaigrette to top it all off!  Really really bad!

Other than being in an area where everything closes early, including th hotel bar, this hotel is the perfect respite when heading out on an early RDU flight or driving through Raleigh/Durham. The rooms are large and comfortable and they have some of the best bathrooms around, not to mention the largest TVs in hotel rooms that I have seen. Indigo has a whole haiku thing going on with earth and nature, but everything is super comfortable and the staff is incredibly nice and welcoming.

A little weird, but clean and comfortable. The fake hardwood floors in the bedroom make it feel less cosy and more sterile. The theme is trying to be Zen but comes across more like beachy minus the seashells. Comfortable bed. Didn't try the food - planned to get breakfast room service but was very small menu and not that exciting. Big room, bathroom shower had poor water pressure. Recommended for families but not for romantic getaway.

I have a split review here!  The room was beautiful and the overall look of the hotel was very nice.  I brought my pet with me and she also enjoyed the room.  I have been here for three days and after a long day of meetings decided to try dinner in the restaurant/bar area.  They had a sign posted with the drink special and dinner was to a pasta dish for $15.  When I inquired about ordering I was informed the kitchen was CLOSED.  Chelsey then proceeded to tell me they are booked with conventions tomorrow and need to cook for them.  Also stated they have to work all night in order to accommodate the events tomorrow.  TMI clearly and she forgot I was actually a paying guest.  I was like what the?!  I have not eaten and this is the kind of service you feel is appropriate?....  Completely unacceptable on all accounts.  Not the way I wanted to end my stay here...  Many new hotels in the area so in two weeks we will try another.  I hope Management addresses for the future and can accommodate guests accordingly.

On a positive note, Craig has been very professional and helpful at the desk.  Always has a smile on his face and very pleasant.

-The decor was beautiful.
-The room was clean.
-no minifridge or microwave in the king bed room.

During our second night stay there was a very loud party on the first floor directly beneath our room. It was so loud in the room I could not sleep. I contacted the front desk and was told it would be over at midnight and there were no rooms available to relocated us. At aprox. 1215am the party was still going on and my husband contacted the front desk. Needless to say the party did not end until 1230am. I was very disappointed of how the situation was handled and will not return to this hotel.

Not bad.

We stayed here this past Sunday, on a hotwire deal.  

The hotel is soo unique looking and definitely was a nice change from the standard blah midrange hotel.  

Break it down bullet points:
- Clean
- HUGE and stylishly decorated guest rooms
- small but well supplied workout room, open 24 hours
- cool bathrooms

Nice room. When I returned that evening room had been made up but one trash can was not emptied and a used coffee cup was left on the sink. So the housekeeping staff is a little careless.

Very disappointed with the service in the restaurant. Had dinner first evening. Service was marginal, waiter coming over just about the time you are ready to have to go ask for them. Then when he cleared my table he asked if I wanted dessert which I declined. Logical next step would be my check, right? No, he was ready to head to the elevator with a room service delivery. I had to stop him to get my check.

I attempted to have breakfast the next morning. After sitting for 5 minutes being totally ignored, I walked out.

This hotel appears to lack responsible management.

Breakfast is complimentary you can choose from a menu. Rooms have music turned on as you walk in. Which adds to the experience. They have a user friendly alarm clock.

The art is a little too much.

Pros:
This hotel is clean, comfortable and upscale. Bar and restaurant in the lobby. Plenty of seating. Indoor pool and fitness center. Rooms are big and comfy. Bed was very comfortable. Shower is walk-in and spotless.
Cons: check in lacked any kind of customer service. Booked through Hotwire with 5 guests. 2 adults, 3 children. After getting the keys, I asked if both rooms had double beds. He said "no, they are both kings, that's what the person who booked the rooms asked for".. I told him I booked through Hotwire and they don't Allie you to ask for # of beds, but we are a party of 5... We need more than 2 beds. He again tried to tell me I requested 2 kings. Then he took 1 set of keys back and huffed and puffed about how he doesn't have a room with 2 beds..finally gave me a room on a different floor.
All in all, the hotel was great, especially at Hotwire rates! Seriously lacking customer service though ;(

I probably won't stay here again

Walking in I really liked the feel, it's very modern and Eco friendly.  The room is very nice with hard wood floors

...but, I had to change rooms as my bed had dirt in it.  The mouth wash was already opened, the sink was broken.  Generally I feel the staff needs a good manager

Lovely hotel! Modern, clean and the rooms are huge! Not sure if it was because we were given a handicap room, but our room was enormous! We stayed here for one night before flying out the next morning. Checking in and out was very easy and service was friendly.

The room has wood floors (or laminate, duno, it was nice) and the beds were very nicely decorated. One of the walls in our room had a lady bug painted on it! There was even room for a small couch. I wish this hotel was located closer to Durham's city center, it would be an ideal stay. Instead it's located near other hotels and not very many restaurants. I guess it's geared for travelers who need to stay near RTP. Either way, very lovely hotel, I highly recommend!

Cute boutique hotel with clean rooms and friendly staff. Funky modern rooms with bright colors that put a smile on my face when I wake up in the morning. Comfy beds as well.

I've stayed here a few times because of work however if I was in the area for fun I wouldn't stay. There's absolutely nothing within walking distance but an odd Pizza Pub that's only open for lunch. The hotel bar food is mediocre. However I have been told the hotel shuttle will take you anywhere on the main road but I haven't utilized this before.

I don't really have much to tell you. I had a business conference here and that was pretty fantastic. I am pretty sure the food was catered by the hotel and it looked fantastic! (I'm on a diet and couldn't eat any of it but everyone else seemed to love it) Plus, they provided us home made WARM cookies for dessert. Seriously. WARM COOKIES. I can only imagine what they do if you stay there...

Plus, I made everyone I knew check out the bathroom in lobby area. It's swa-anky! If I ever have someone coming in for business in the RTP area, this is definitely the place I'll tell them to stay.

I've stayed here a couple times over the past 6 months. The decor is pleasing and the fitness room is pretty nice. I didn't have any issues with their airport shuttle or checkin/checkout. But the quality of my stays declined over just the past few months and docks them from a 4 star to a 2 star experience. I sense a change in management, and poor management, since earlier this year, and I will not be staying at the hotel again.

Here is what bugged me on my most recent stays:

1) The rooms are not as clean as they should be. I saw pubes on the shower wall. Layers of dust on the desk. Lots of scuff marks on the wall. This should not happen in any hotel let alone a boutique hotel.
2) I was unable to use the hot tub on my last visit, and the way it went down was so weird. I walked over to the hot tub and was about to get in when a pool guy on the other side of the room told me it was closed. Something about chemicals or water quality. But as he was saying this a child was climbing out of said hot tub. So the problem was important enough to warn me about, but not important enough to warn the child who was just using it?
3) The hotel really pissed me off on my last visit regarding the room service closing time. It clearly stated on the card in the room that room service was available until midnight, but when I called around 10 they said they were closed - that they decided to close early that night. I was starving. The guy at the front desk couldn't offer me anything other than numbers for pizza delivery services. I didn't need to order an entire pizza by myself so I looked all over for a snack vending machine but could find none - only soda machines. There needs to be some way of getting a decent meal or at least a snack late at night!!
3) Breakfast in the restaurant is rather low quality (I had this issue at a different branch of the hotel as well).
4) The front desk staff is rarely the same people. There's either lots of turnover or lots of part-timers.

I recommend Holiday Inn Express instead.

Ok, seriously, what is wrong with the AC/Heat at this place. 3 times I have stayed here and 3 time the heat hasn't worked. It's like a freezer here! Bring your long johns.
I'm tempted to take away a star because my fingers are frozen typing this! But I won't because they are quick to try to solve the problem and brought me a blanket promptly the last time. My nose is still an ice cube though.

Stayed here for one night and yes the hotel is very beautiful and the beds are big and comfy and a little high off the ground. The walk-in shower was huge and water pressure was very nice considering its freezing outside.

Downside
When we checked in last night there were no bellhop to help with the few bags we had and I had to navigate my way to the elevator with the stiff cart by myself. Next the pillows were so tiny as if they cut the pillows in half. Then they had all the makings for coffee and tea but no coffee pot.

Stayed here for two nights the end of July 2013. I was impressed upon driving up and at the entry; however, that quickly faded when I got to the elevators and noticed how banged up the paint was.

I should've left when I walked up to my room and had to wheel all my luggage around a refrigerator that was sitting in front of my door. Later, maintenance knocked on my door (the guy had a cup hanging out his mouth when I opened the door, which he proceeded to leave in my room when he left) and apparently they were trying to deliver the refrigerator for some chocolate that my parents had sent me. The back of the fridge was hanging off - when you open the door the whole thing falls forward.

My room was nice with wood floors, some fun colors, and TV, but the maintenance department is awful. The walls were banged up everywhere, bad calking jobs, all of the lampshades had water stains, the A/C doesn't run like it should (it's either hot or cold - no happy medium), the water takes forever to heat up. I would turn the shower on for at least 3-4 minutes before every shower.

I will be posting pictures of all of this very soon.

JUST DON'T STAY HERE! Don't let the shiny look fool you - it's nasty! I am a woman and could see the disrepair this place was in.

I only stayed one night because it was close to the airport. The hotel was very nice looking from the outside and inside. When we arrived in our room I loved the modern colors and decor. A very refreshing view than the typical brown/red color scheme of most other hotels. The bed was absolutely the most comfortable thing I have ever slept on in a hotel! I also loved the fact that the hotel was environmentally friendly.

The only downside is that when we woke up we noticed the wall decal was peeling and there were some cracks and chipped paint on the wall. I think they need to be a little better on upkeep, but I would stay at this hotel chain again.

Stayed here 4 nights on a business trip...I thought the rooms were nice size, clean, new and very comfortable. The bed was great and it was just a good place to come home to and relax. The color scheme of the hotel is a little odd (think blown up picture of a blade of grass with a lady bug as an accent wall) and bright sheets. Other than that it is great. Also my curtain didnt go all the way across the window so a fair amount of light comes into the room...totally fine for work when i have to get up anyway, but good to know.

Id come back again.

Pre-paid for airport parking service. Was told when we called that we dis not need a reservation for the shuttle. Come to find out, we get here and the driver is not in to work because he did not have any appointments. The front desk called is a cab, and did not offer to pay for it, nor discount our parking fee. This is the last time we use ANY IHG brand. The front desk agent is now laying on a lobby sofa and playing on her ipad while we wait for a taxi to hopefully make our international flight on time.

WOW!!!! This hotel is so cool I'm in LOVE.....it's just so darn cute!
The front dest had Taffy for you to enjoy, and i have to admit i enjoyed about every flavor, took maybe 7 of them;)

The lobby is decorated so modern and clean looking, cute little resturant with a great menu, a indoor pool I didn't use but looked at...it was small but nice enough for a dip. A workout room next to the pool was also small but will get you results if you use it.

My room had hardwood floors, a stand up shower only, fun flower wallpaper, a fun blue comforter on the bed and very nice modern furniture all over the room. Fun, fun, fun!!!

Close to the airport and they have a airpot shuttle

I'm a business traveler who doesn't know anything about hotel prices in the area, but $93 a night is pretty darn cheap anywhere. Although Hotel Indigo has modern interiors, cool-looking bathrooms, blah blah blah, it's really just varnish on something that's not much better than a Motel 6.

What makes a good hotel isn't what color the walls are -- it's the service, professionalism, and attention to detail of everyone who works there. I was wearing a suit skirt and both pairs of nylons I brought with me had huge runs in them (d'oh!). I called the front desk and asked if they stocked nylons, or if there was a hotel store that might have them. The guy at the desk said "what?"
I repeated myself.
He laughed and said "heh, we don't have anything like that here"

No apologies, no pointing me in the direction of a nearby drugstore, no suggestions... It was a bizarre response that left me feeling embarrassed.

Also, the continental breakfast has a guy watching and counting how many items you take from the breakfast table. You can have up to 3 (say, juice, coffee, bagel) and that's it. Seriously?

So stayed here for two nights on a business trip. Normally Holiday Inn premier is welcomed with a nice cold beverage and a snack. Here I was welcomed with warm water and a fortune cookie. Insulting when they have a whole 'Pantry' right across the lobby. A $10 welcome credit would have been much more worth it.

The room itself was spacious with the exception of the 'balcony' - don't fall for the upcharge folks, it's a 4' by 2' area hidden behind a sign that barely fits a chair. The jacuzzi tub was nice, until the front of it fell off. I kid you not and have picture to prove it.

The first night I stopped in their restaurant to have dinner, The had a caprese style salad I thought looked good, only to be told ten minutes after I ordered it that they were out of tomatoes. Oh and fresh Mozzarella, and lettuce, so salads were out. I ended up with chips and a queso that was nice but salty as hell.

My room was supposed to come with a complimentary continental breakfast. When I ordered it, I also requested the addition of a bagel and a diet coke. I was told it would arrive in 20 minutes. An HOUR later it arrived, and to my surprise, without the breakfast!!! Just a bagel and diet coke! I had to go to get to work so i grabbed my bagel breakfast and left.

I returned at 4pm to find my room still not cleaned. I went to the front desk and asked them to please take care of it while I went to dinner. I was informed housekeeping had left for the day but if I needed towels they'd get me one or two.

So let's sum it up. Free breakfast that they failed to deliver on. Uncaring, overworked staff that really don't give a crap beyond their shift ending, no housekeeping, tub falling apart, and no food in the restaurant.

Holiday inn - if this is your answer to boutique hotels give it up right now. I will never, ever stay at this property again and am unlikely to ever try another Indigo.

Really nice hotel. The rooms are huge and very nicely decorated. Extremely clean and fresh feeling. Very nice place for a great rate.

A business hotel so some amenities aren't so fancy - small pool and gym. So people complained about this and got passes to a local gym. I'd recommend this place or any other in the Indigo chain.

This hotel appears to be clean but is actually nasty . I'm not being dramatic ... I actually promise you . There are other hotels in the area ... Just know this is a sweep dirt under the rug inn .

Mixed feelings about this one. Room was spacious,  bathroom was enormous.  Lots of light in both. Big TV. Bed had that cushion top business.  Best of all,  no carpet in the room,  only sum wood. So no nasty hotel odor or dust. Staff was friendly, let us check out late, found an extra bathrobe for my wife when we left the pool. So far so good.
Although staff is friendly, there is an air of casual laziness that is slightly disturbing.  Nobody to help with luggage,  and on the one morning I wanted breakfast,  no service staff in the restaurant.  The cook was waiting tables. Food was blech,  and worst, when the cook brought condiments,  the containers were slimy and there was a long hair stuck to the salt shaker.
So, cool atmosphere,  nice room, but not memorable.  Will try another place next time in town.

Very impressed with the hotel. The ambience is is a modern tropical Sharp look. The hotel has a look of its own you know when you arrive. The service is great at front desk and the bar. The elevators are conveniently located.  The hotel has a small pool, hottub and small gym. The rooms have hard wood floors and comfortable beds. I was impressed with the huge showers and spacious room.
