Positives: fridge and microwave in room, very slightly larger than normal room.   Good quality bed and pillows.  Free internet.

    1. No hot water on the first morning.  The whole hotel went out apparently.
    2. Room phone didn't work.
    3. Remodeling all over the halls.
    4. Orange juice sludge for breakfast.
    5. Thin walls means it's like you have a roommate.
    6. Chirping fire alarm; front desk suggested I find a way to reach 12 feet up and unplug the battery myself.
    7. Cheap furniture and decor.
    8. Right next to I-40 means freeway noise.
    9. Toilet didn't flush properly.

Spring for a better-maintained hotel in RTP.

My husband and I stayed here because we were bumped from our flights because of the tornado. they honored the distressed flyer rates. cheap, quiet, room was clean, nice water pressure.

I visited here for vacation around the Raleigh-Durham area.  This is a pretty nice hotel with all the amenities.  Cannot complain here since we had a complementary breakfast which is always great at Springhill with not only cold food but also hot food.  Rooms were spacious enough but weird setup with TV placed in between the living room/kitchenette and the bedroom.  Otherwise, this place is nice since there is a fitness center with earbubs to listen to the TV.

Good place, great location near my company's headquarters, the people are super nice, and the shuttle is on time. Rooms were big with closets, kitchen, living room, tv etc. The tv was a little awkward. What more do you really need?

Rooms here are large. Location suited me well. The gym is small but had what I needed. The rates were chap. Free breakfast and free parking.

The internet connection here is terrible. The connection was inconsistent at best and even when connected, the speed was super slow. If you need consistent internet connection, pass on this hotel.

Typical mid-price hotel.  Disappointed in size of room.  Beds were small. Room for a suite was really small because of the layout.  A lot of wasted space.  Decent FREE breakfast.  FREE wifi. Off the beat and path location.  Good for quietness and not a destination for the typical family traveler.  Within 5 miles of shopping and restaurants if you know your way around the area.

Three stars because the rate was insanely cheap.  Otherwise it would have been two.

Basic, no frills place.  Like all Springhills -- the rooms are large (suite style).  No door or anything to separate sitting area from bed area.

Decently clean but could be better.  Beds seem to be worn out.  They don't give you lotion (who doesn't provide lotion).  Typical breakfast.  Free wi-fi.

Super close to the airport.  There are SO many hotels in the area (and many brand new ones).  I should have looked further before booking here.

Meh. Just an ok hotel.  Good breakfast, decent sized rooms. Your room can face the highway and be quite noisy. Nice enough staff, 24 hour shuttle service. Gym,  pool, subpar quality towels.  Strangely shaped rooms with furniture that is of laughable quality.

Stayed here over the weekend.  Was able to check-in early (1pm-ish).  Front desk agent was very nice.

Room was comfortable and everything was in working order.  I slept like a log.  We had a room on the I-40 side but the road noise was minimal.

    I always appreciate free Wi-Fi.

Breakfast was good.  Breakfast meat of the day was ham. . . womp womp. . . . was really hoping for some bacon on a Saturday morning.

Overall, my expectations were definitely met for the price paid.

This hotel exists in some sort of GPS/mapping bermuda triangle that causes Uber drivers to get routed constantly through strange routes that pass close by the property without actually being able to access it. This happened every single time I used Uber to get to/from the property. One driver was 4min away but still took 30+ minutes to arrive because the route/GPS software kept sending him whizzing by on different roads. Watching the car icon desperately circle my little dot on the map was a sick tragicomedy. I finally wised up and started telling drivers "the hotel is near the big Sheraton hotel - just go there and look for Slater Road".

    Ok with that said ...

I practically live in Marriott operated properties when traveling for work so I don't usually review hotels. I mainly wanted to post the GPS/Uber warning.

Hotel was fine. Road noise was noticeable in my room and a bit bothersome but not too bad. Staff were universally fantastic.  The "pay more for faster internet" option that is free for Gold/Platinum elite members was broken but that looked like a captive portal error beyond the control of the hotel itself.

Sorry to read the less than glowing reviews. I found this Springhill Suites to be extremely nice.  Rooms very clean. Beds comfortable, wonderful walking/running trail. Easy to get around the area for groceries and restaurant.
