Thank you kind sir behind the desk at darn near midnight for starting that day (or so he said) allowing pets to stay during your hotel visit.

The hotel was OPEN
Rooms were available

Okay, that's enough excitement. Longest day ever, seriously. I had been on the road for some ungodly amount of time, plus going through not one but two time zones. Oh my body was taking a beating and was in need of a comfortable bed, a nice shower that didn't have spiders crawling in the tub and a coffee maker in it.

Comfort Inn has gone way above any expectations. I was thinking-Motel 6 quality or something. Nay, try Hampton Inn. Impressed, the bathrooms even had makeup remover pads. Thanks for thinking of us ladies and not forcing me to dig through my overly stuffed bag.

If you are traveling with pets, I am pleased to announce that they are pet friendly. With a hefty additional fee of $20 your pets will be just as comfy as you.

I don't expect to be heading back to Omaha anytime in the near future but now look at Comfort Inn hotels in a completely different light. Luxury on a budget, perfect!

Room was great! Breakfast was the best!
But their walls are thin. Bring your ear plugs in case you have neighbors engaged in an impassioned conversation into the early morning hours.

- A bit pricey. We paid 130/night. I would recommend the Element Hotel. It was cheaper (109/night) and they have shuttle service.

- Clean and comfortable!

- 5 minute drive to the zoo/35 minute walk (Zoo is fantastic)

- McDonald's, Jimmy johns, and gas station with convenience store are in walking distance.

- Has a pool, a teeny tiny pool that you see as soon as you enter front doors of hotel. Not for the self-conscious.

- Hotel staff had zero knowledge of the area which I thought strange. I wanted to walk to a nearby restaurant I found on yelp and when I asked the front desk clerks if the area was safe they both said they weren't familiar with it. The place was 5 minutes away, how do you have no idea? They then told me it should be safe. Should? That wasn't very comforting but I went anyways and lets just say I'm glad I didn't walk alone or in the dark.

Cool place.

17 degrees today, blizzard hitting as I write.

Positives:  The heater works.  The Internet works.  The TV works.  The bathroom works.  The bed is comfy.  The staff is nice.  The lights are still on.

Negatives:  I am in Omaha.  There is a blizzard.  I may be here for a day or a week, depending on what mother nature decides to throw my way.  The roadways are like driving on Campbell's chunky soup, but, frozen.

Did I mention that I voluntarily decided on this trip?

Ya feel me?

PET FRIENDLY!!!!! We came to Omaha for a wedding, but had to bring our dogs. The fee was only $20. We stayed two nights and left our two dogs in the room. There were no issues.

When we first arrived, no other guests were there. It was around 1pm. Our room wasn't ready, so we waited about 20 minutes. I was a bit annoyed but could understand I was early for a check in time. After waiting, they said they would upgrade our room to a king-size bedroom (for free), so that made up for it.

Our room was clean, bathroom clean, and everything worked. TV was nice, and our room had a mini fridge and microwave. We left for the wedding rehearsal/dinner, and when we came back the hotel was PACKED. Talk about popular place to stay. I was shocked considering when we arrived we were the only guests there. Lots of families (means lots of children), but we were ok with it. Breakfast was pretty good, too.

Great location- right off the highway & close to downtown. Clean & reasonably priced. The only downfall was that there is NO elevator! We had multiple heavy bags & it was a pain to lug them up to the second floor.

After some thorough research on where we should stay during our weekend trip to Omaha, we chose Comfort Inn at the Zoo because of their convenient location to all the activities we had planned and because they had the cheapest rates and best value per star rating.

The room was a standard hotel room. Everything was clean when we arrived and we received  pleasant service from the front desk lady.

The only issue we had was the lack of water pressure in the shower.

Besides that, we were pleased with the price, service, and  location of Comfort Inn.

For a two star type hotel this is top of the line. New look, very friendly front desk, clean, new, comfortable rooms, great price with hotwire, quiet and a wonderful hot breakfast with eggs, sausage and more. Wifi was strong. Parking is plentiful and there is a MCDonalds and BP Gas station next to the hotel. You see the Omaha zoo from the parking lot. Located off the Interstate. We enjoy downtown and it was a easy straight line driving from hotel to downtown. We have stayed in the high end downtown hotels and paid for parking, internet and the rooms were no better. You can pay more but I am not sure you can do much better than Comfort Inn Omaha at 2920 S. 13th Court in Omaha. All rooms are non smoking!
