Dear Lord, this place is my favorite thing in Omaha.  For the money, good luck finding a better place than this hotel.  Stay midweek and it gets ridiculous.  I've stayed four times and truthfully Omaha is a little boring but I'd stay in Omaha just to stay at this hotel.

Newer hotel with nice finishes and amenities.  Staff was really friendly, rooms were clean, roomy and well appointed.  Hotel is walking distance from main city area, but just far enough away to be nice and quiet.  Complimentary breakfast had nice options that changed daily.  No complaints!

I stayed in Omaha for a couple of nights and wanted to be in the Old Market area.  I chose the Homewood Suites because of their location, the hotel is new-ish, and they have a pool and jacuzzi.  I also liked that they have free airport shuttle and complimentary shuttle service throughout the Old Market area.  This saved money on having to get a rental car for 3 days and the shuttle drivers were prompt, friendly and had a lot of local knowledge to share that was spot-on.  (thanks Mike!)

Checking in was a breeze and my room was ready very early in the day, upon my arrival.  Sheila at check-in was friendly and helpful, it was nice that she remembered my name during my stay as well.

Room was on the 8th floor next to the ice machine but since they are all suites, we couldn't hear it in the bedroom at night.  I like that the room has a wood floor entryway (or fake wood at least) so the carpet that normally gets all gross in the entryway in other hotel rooms, they won't have a problem with here.  The room was spacious and all of the amenities were well thought out.  There were dishes in the kitchen, a dishwasher, stovetop, microwave, fridge and sink.  Everything that you might need to make your own simple or complex meals in the room.  Would be great for families.  There was a pitcher of cold water in the fridge which was also appreciated after a long, dehydrating flight!

Coffee maker and microwave popcorn was nice to have in the room.  Also free DVD rentals at the front desk with a good selection.  iPod/iPhone jack on the bedroom alarm clock so that you can listen to your music.  Two flat-screen TVs.  Comfortable bed, CLEAN room.

The gym has nice equipment and it overlooks the indoor heated pool and jacuzzi.  The pool is a perfect temperature as is the jacuzzi.  Everything was clean and tidy in the gym and pool area.

During the week, there's a Manager's reception for 2 hours (from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.) with complimentary beer, wine, and food.  There's also always a complimentary breakfast in the mornings and they seem to change up the menu a bit, everything was good while we were there.  The staff in the lounge area were accomodating as well - including packaging up some food for us to take up to our room as we arrived towards the end of the Manager's reception one of the nights.

Parking is also free at the hotel.  The location of the hotel is further from the main area of the Old Market than other hotels, but in the winter you can't really walk around that much without freezing your tail off so the shuttle drops you off wherever you need to go.  In the summer it would often be nice enough to walk to local restaurants or bars.

The only negative that I can think of is that there is no room service/restaurant on-site, but for all of the other amenities that this hotel offers (including two free meals), this isn't missed.  They do have a little store with food items for purchase for your room.

I booked a reservation via Travelocity for a wedding I recently attended in Omaha. The Travelocity rate was 15 dollars cheaper than the Wedding block rate and it was for a Suite size room. I was excited to check out this new hotel. I had booked it for an early arrival since the Wedding started at 2 pm.

I arrived a little early (right before noon) and was in a rush since our plane arrived late. I had to wait for the front desk girl to handle ALL her other business which didn't include checking me in. When she finally got off the phone and finished writing whatever notes she needed to write, she told me my Room wasn't even ready yet.... REALLY? Seriously? After all that?

Then when the manager on duty was also out near her, she mentioned that the room wasn't available, the manager advised her to check with housekeeping to see when it would be done. Housekeeping clearly said over the walky-talky, well it'll be sometime after i send the girls to lunch first.

now I know people need to eat, but if you have requests and a wedding in the hotel - shouldn't you have your ladies working in shifts to accommodate this need?

Luckily a friend had a room that we were able to get ready in, but I was none too pleased. Especially b/c the lack of service and consideration by the staff.

The afternoon shift was much better. When we returned from the ceremony - the gentleman was nice even though he forgot to give us our "welcome bag" even though i said "we are here for the wedding". This was a bit annoying.

I give this a 2 star b/c the hotel room itself was nice, decently priced and we got a good nights rest - but not for any help from the staff.

Stayed here over the Thanksgiving week and we couldn't be happier with our room and the service here.

We had a smaller suite the first night and wanted to upgrade to a slightly larger one to make it easier with two small kids. The front desk "reserved" it for us while we went up to look at it so no that called in would be able to book before we decided. We ended up choosing the larger room, which was wonderful! In the process of moving, we forgot one of the kids socks in one of the drawers. They had staff look for it and deliver it to us!

Breakfast every morning was so convenient, especially with a toddler and an infant. They had good variety too, which was nice since we stayed there 6 days. On the last night, we got to enjoy the reception they have from M-Th 5-7pm. They had food, wine, beer, which was again great for a family with young children.

Very happy with the location as well close to Old Market. You can be sure they will be first on our list when we return to Omaha to visit family!!

We stayed one night at the Homewood Suites near TD Ameritrade Park in downtown Omaha. It was a good night. The front desk staff is well trained, prompt, courteous, and friendly. Our rooms were immaculate - very clean. The hotel is modern and well kept. Looks almost new and it's actually 3 years old. The management and staff of this hotel get it...it's all about "hospitality"!

We stayed here for graduation week from Creighton.  The rooms were spotless, the location is fantastic, and the service is the reason my family has stayed there four years in a row.  The personell are what makes this a stay at a Hilton as they accommodated every request with charm, professionalism, and smiles.  We especially appreciated Dennis' desk service.  You won't be disappointed staying here.

Large and comfortable room, good service.  Free shuttle to downtown and other nearby attractions.  Ok breakfast and decent fitness center.  Small pool, carpet stains, clogged toilet and broken TV remote were the low points but the staff responded promptly to fix these issues.

Breakfast was excellent.  The rooms nice and big. The staff was amazing. We arrived early and the front desk staff gave us a key to the pool so the grandkids could swim while the room was getting ready.

Stayed in a suite the entire weekend (nearly $400). Everything was great at check-in. The suite was nice, clean, and smelled good. The breakfast was ok. The pool was small. My boyfriend was coming from a different city & we were meeting at this hotel (we were both on the reservation). I was told we had a parking pass for the parking lot & asked for an additional parking pass. The front desk clerk told me only one would be issued (even though we paid almost $400)! She said without the parking pass, our cars would be subject to tow. So not only did we spend quite a bit there, we had to pay all weekend for extra parking. Kinda crappy.

Really liked this hotel. We got a suite for only $10 above the price of the room, and we were pleasantly surprised with the size of the suite and its amenities. Besides the usual microwave & sink, there is a cooktop, full-size fridge, dishwasher, cookware, and eatware.

The pool is also quite nice. Wider than most hotel pools. It's clean, and not at all over-chlorinated. Hotel staff stopped by to check (and adjust) the temperature, without being prompted. (I was happy with the initial temperature, but other people were glad when she warmed it a bit.) I do wish more hotels would put acoustic tiling in their pool area, but that's certainly not an issue that's unique to the Homewood Suites.

The complimentary breakfast is fine, but at this price range they're in competition with the Embassy Suites downtown, and this breakfast doesn't even compare to that one. Still, this was actually cheaper than the ES, and the breakfast was more than adequate quality.

Personally, I appreciated the free Wi-Fi, which you don't get at most other hotels in this price range (including the ES). It seems like a small thing, I suppose, but I like having the freedom to just jump on with any of our devices without worrying about whether it's worth paying for.

We stay in hotels in Omaha fairly frequently (few times a year, for the last 15 years or so), and I wish we'd discovered this place sooner. It will certainly be the first place we check next time.
