Always good to sleep in a Starwood bed and nice flat screen TV. Bathroom/shower is  nice. Staff is friendly and helpful. Only complaint is the wi-fi connection on the 6th floor is really poor. You can tell the hotel is in the middle of renovations. The improvements are needed and I would have added another rating star if they were complete. It was close to my work location for the week and there is a Starbucks and nice mall within close driving distance.

Under construction right now; so there's that. But we have had a lot of problems that are purely service related. We may try it again once construction is done, but not before.

Petty decent hotel overall.  No continental breakfast and their on-site breakfast is quite expensive.  Good location.  Some common areas need work.  Doorway we used after checking in smelled like death.  Room was fine.  Stayed here based on using Priceline and a low bid.  I would have been very disappointed if I spent what they were asking for this room.  Overall, falls a bit short of most Sheraton's.

Prepaid through Hotwire for a room for two adults and two kids. Arrived at 9:30 and were given a room with a king and a cot. Room had one tiny frosted window, so no view.  They threw in vouchers for breakfast and an apology.  A deal is not always a deal. But breakfast was OK.

This hotel is under renovation right now, but it's a much needed renovation.  The occasional construction worker and noise is what prevented this to being a five star review.

I stayed in one of the rooms that had been redone and it was nice.  The beds were amazingly comfortable.  Decent tv, set up, bathroom and a great work area.  I used to live in Omaha and was back visiting for a few days and it provided a great place to rest, work and relax.  The location was excellent and I look forward to staying here again.

This was my second stay in four months. Both times my room was spotless.  Recentlyrenovated. The staff was professional & very hhelpful.  I will stay here when I come back to Omaha.

We stayed here one night on our recent trip back to the Midwest and I was pleasantly surprised!

The hotel was going under renovation so we stayed in one of the nicely renovated rooms. It was a little weird to go up the service elevator instead of the regular guest one, but that's how it goes :)

It was kind of scary going down to the gym in the morning, since the hallways and the pool area were kind of torn up but the equipment was nice.

    Definitely would recommend.

I am a fan of this hotel. The most plugs of any hotel in the guest rooms!!!!

Good bar, good staff and a convenient location. They continue to remodel/upgrade.

Brand new and renovated hotel with a friendly staff.  It is quite a bit far from the Old Market and downtown Omaha, but it has free, easy, and safe parking.  The room service was prompt and delicious, and it was near restaurants and shopping.

I stay in Sheraton Hotels quite often and am always impressed with their cleanliness, professional staff, and convenient locations. I was rather disappointed in my stay this weekend. Room was great as well as the restaurant, but I was shocked at how unhelpful and slow the staff was. Trying to host an event here was a mess. The banquets staff was no where to be found for almost the entirety of our event and the front desk staff seemed rather bugged about doing anything to help. I was offered 500 points for the inconvenience... I will definitely continue to stay at Sheraton but I was far from satisfied with the staff running the Omaha Sheraton.

I'm not a big fan of Sheraton hotels in general.
But I got a ridiculously good deal on this one. So I booked a room for one night.

    Pros:
    - Free outdoor parking.
    - Very late check-in (after 2:00 a.m.)
    - Clean and spacious room.

    Cons:
    - Our room was very hot upon arrival.
    - There was no mini fridge. (Come on now, even much smaller 2 and 3 star hotels have these nowadays.)
    - No bath robes either.
    - The receptionist wouldn't give us even partial Starwood points... because we used Hotwire to book the room.

I'd recommend this hotel for someone who is on a business trip.
It's very close to the airport.

Overall, the hotel is decent.  The biggest problem I had is there seems to be no insulation.  The people in the room next to us woke up at 6am on a Sunday to check out and you could literally hear every word they were saying.  Same with people in the main hall.  Sleeping in wasn't an option...Good for the price but not what I thought when I planned a stay at a Sheraton.

While staying at the Sheraton in Omaha, my Uhaul trailer full of everything I own was broken into (lock cut) and ransacked. The hotel has no security cameras and the general manager has yet to return my phone calls. They have offered me 10,000 reward points (redeemable for one night at some of their hotels, but not enough for others). After my second phone message went unanswered, I received the following email from the general manager. Keep in mind I have no idea who "Tanner" is and note the description of the theft of over $3000 of my property and subsequent involvement of the Omaha police as an "inconvenience".

Email reproduced exactly as sent to me:

    Mrs. *****,

I know that you have been working with Tanner in regards to your U haul being broken into. I have also tried twice to get in touch with you but unable

As Tanner has stated and it is posted in our parking lot we are not responsible for lost/stolen or damage to personal property in our parking lot.

Tanner has also offered 10,000 SPG points for the inconvenience that you experienced during your stay.

We feel that the SPG Points are an adequate good will jester. This is not a typical guest experience at our hotel. We hope on your next visit to Omaha you are able to thoroughly enjoy your stay.

    *****
This hotel is not in a safe area, has no security cameras and awful customer service.  If I could, I would give it negative stars.

this was a great hotel for the price i paid. the bed was huge and comfy and the room came with a nice 52" flat screen. it was nice having free internet, parking, and breakfast. the staff enrolled me into the starwood rewards program so i guess i wil be staying at more starwood hotels. especially since now i have a job the allows me to afford nicer places. they have a convenient bar located right in the lobby of the hotel. the staff was friendly even though it was late at nice. the bathroom was decently big. the room actually had robes but i didnt realize it until i was leaving. i did take all the soaps, teas, coffee, water bottles and coffee. hey it was free. why say no.

For the money and the location, it's a good deal. It was once a Holiday Inn, so the layout is still reminiscent of a Holiday Inn.

Though the renovations look pretty good, one of the guest elevators was out of order the duration of our stay. They need to consider insulating the walls since we could hear our neighbors in the other rooms. Also, no mini-fridge in the room. We had to request for one since I'm on medication that needs to be refrigerated, but they had one in our room promptly.

I agree with the pros; free parking and wifi, comfortable beds, overall good customer service, and a happy hour Monday through Thursday.

Staff was nice, place was clean, and for the price I paid, under 100/night, it was a pretty good deal. Has a laundry machine which came in handy. Fitness room had dumbbells up to 50lbs in 5lb increments. Had a couple of cardio machines and a lifefitness machine. No barbells... pool was decent sized. Wifi was slow, but hey it worked.
Didn't like the shower faucet thing. It seemed old and not up to 3.5 star hotel quality. Other than that, everything was good

Staff good and responsive to my complaints about the noise.  Very thin or poorly insulated walls for noise.  I could hear, very clearly, conversations and tv/music noise from the rooms on both sides of mine.  Very nice room on the club floor, but doesn't mean much to me if a can't have peace and quiet at the end of a long day of business and travel.  I won't stay here again, unless I hear that improvements have been made to address this issue.

To those who wrote about "no robes".  It's a Sheraton.  In Omaha.  Not the Four Seasons at some resort location.

The thing that made me want to write was the staff.  I have stayed at many hotels for business and this was one of the best experiences.  A gal named Whitney was so pleasant and helpful that I told myself I'd leave a review.  It's not the fanciest place but ya know, the price was fair, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and I was able to take a nice shower.  What more could you ask for?

    First star for smile.
    Second star for cleanliness
    Third star for hot water
    Fourth star for nice bed

Will stay here a few more times then give an update. There was nothing good or bad about this place. It is clearly not busy so you can see that not much is being put back into the place either. Rooms are newly updated but showing some bumps and bruises. Staff is nice but a little frumpy and untrained in customer service.

Nice hotel. It was clean and friendly service. TV reception wasn't the best and for the price it would be nice to have microwave and fridge without costing extra.

    Clogged bath tub. Ewww.
But we were too tired to change room. And on the second day during checkout, they didn't show any apology. Well...
They don't charge for parking as a resort, so I guess that's ok.

Omaha, Nebraska. Home to Omaha steaks and little else.

I came to Omaha for a business trip and stayed here with the rest of my team. I wasn't expecting much given that I come from NYC. However, this hotel pleasantly surprised me. The corporate rate was exceptionally low, and was almost half of what I saw for most other metropolitan areas. For a Sheraton, I expected the price to be much higher. The check in staff was friendly and even gave me a personal, handwritten letter and a complementary drink coupon as welcoming gift. You don't see that too often.

The room itself was pretty standard, but was clean and fairly well lit. The bathroom's shower could have used some more water pressure, however. The bed was pretty comfortable and the TV had a decent amount of HD channels, something that I don't see as often as I would like.

My favorite part about this place was the price of the room service. On my first night here I called up room service and ordered a standard burger without looking at the menu. Much to my surprise, the burger came in less than 20 minutes and was only 14 dollars with all fees. I was taken aback by how cheap it was. I had just finished a stay at the Le Meredien in Atlanta, where a comparable meal ended up being closer to 30 dollars. The server actually laughed when I told him I couldn't believe how cheap the meal was. Not to mention that the burger was delicious!

My only other gripe with this hotel is that the gym is connected to the pool area, meaning you have to actually walk through the pool room to get to the gym. Normally this wouldn't be much of a problem, but the chlorine-y pool air seeped through the gym doors to an extent that made my head hurt. I'm not sure the air was the direct cause, but I definitely didn't feel great each time I went there. The gym is a typical small hotel gym, and would be crowded if it weren't for Omaha's relatively small tourist base.

Overall, this is a pretty decent hotel, and is quite cheap.

Ended up in this hotel blindly as it was a Hotwire.com purchase. For the price though it's hard to complain. This hotel is near the junction of US 6 and I-680. It's kind of an older part of town, definitely not like western Omaha or Papillion. Driving up to it you can tell this is an older property. Parking is free and plentiful however. In the immediate vicinity of the property there isn't really much to do but a quick drive across the interstate and there is a mall with a lot of restaurants on site.

The lobby area is very nice and it opens up into a bar/sitting area. Looked like there was a lot of conference areas as well. Check in was very smooth. Got a room on the 3rd floor and was shocked that the elevators actually worked and were quick. Been to a lot of hotels where elevators are slow or out of commission.

Room was nice, we got a single king room. Bed was very soft and pillows were extra large yet you would sink into them when laying down. There was a standard 30 some inch HDTV in the room and a complimentary coffee maker. Otherwise no other bells and whistles (no fridge or microwave). Bathroom was standard, nothing extravagant but got the job done. WiFi was pretty blah. I opted to just use my regular cell service as it was much faster.

Pool area was nice. Again, you could tell it was an older hotel mostly because you never see pools like this anymore. It actually went to 8 ft deep. It's rare you find a hotel pool that goes 6 ft deep. It was cold outside but the pool was nice and warm. Hot tub was even better, damn near cooked you but that's how a hot tub should be. This place did have an exercise room and it looked like there was a lot of equipment but I didn't venture into it.

Overall a good experience for the price we got on Hotwire. Not sure what the regular rates are and I probably wouldn't pay over $100 a night but if you can get this off of a travel deal website you will be satisfied.

I had a really good experience here, it was not as nice as other sheratons I have stayed at- but the excellent customer service I received more than made up for it. The lady at the front desk may have been one of the most pleasant people I've ever encountered! When I told her I had dogs, she had a dog bed, bowls, and treats brought to my room. They also put people with dogs on the first floor for convenience of taking them potty. The thing I like about that is- people who are also there with pets tend to complain less about a little barking here or there. No other Sheraton has been that accommodating to my dogs. I really appreciate that because we travel a lot and I know it can be stressful on them. (Oh and I don't believe they charge pet fees...if they do it's super reasonable)
My room was nice and clean, but the bathroom was a little small. I didn't have a mini fridge as the website said was in every room, but I think if I would've called they would've brought one in. No big deal, I didn't need it.
The room service was fast and the staff delivering it were more than friendly. The trays did tend to marinate in the hallway a little too long which only really bothered me because it makes walking the dogs down the hallways super annoying.... Especially with my stubborn beagle!
I'm from omaha so I can tell you the location is not great as far as things to do in the areas, but it is nice for its proximity to both west Omaha and downtown.
