Absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. VERY clean, lobby and elevators were spotless, had free breakfast and a shuttle to the casinos (did not use but good to know for future stays.) Front desk staff very patient and friendly despite it being a busy night. A great alternative to paying sky high boardwalk prices.

nice hotel, nothing great but it was a solid 3 star.  everything you SHOULD expect from holiday inn, though it seems hard to come by any more.

This is an older Holiday inn but it is really well maintained and a new building was added a year ago. The result: spacious clean rooms, a new swimming pool and new fitness center well equipped for a Holiday Inn express with 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical,  1 bike, 1 total gym machine. Friendly staff, great breakfast in the morning...Complimentary shuttle to Atlantic city in the afternoon to late night. Would definitely stay here again.

Very clean, this hotel was remodeled  point in the past year. Decor in room has a contemporary feel to it, a lot nicer than a typical HIE. I'd say this hotel is very comparable to a Hampton Inn with better furniture in the room. I'd stay here again for sure

Hmm.. I've stayed in a few places in AC ranging from crappy to high end and I can honestly say that if you just need a place to stay and don't mind the absence of a casino i would definitely stay at this holiday inn.  I was 100% surprised walking in and seeing the well maintained indoor pool, gym, free continental breakfast, modern room with LCD tv that had a ton of channels, pull out leather couch, bathroom with granite sink, clean carpet, clean linens, mini fridge, microwave, cups, plates, paper towels, a separate dining area... etc etc .. I was like ok let me go out side because maybe this is not a holiday inn!!!  Now i love my fancy $$$$ hotels but i have to say that i really enjoyed staying here.  The only thing that brought me back to reality was the hard bed :(. Of course there has to be a catch.

Oh and on a high demand concert weekend (Jayz and Kanye West) the prices remained reasonable @ 124 after tax when the majority of the others were 400+ for one standard  room

free parking and they have a shuttle that takes you to Resorts hotel.  Taxi's to the strip are about 30-40 each way so be prepared for that if you don't drive.

We ate brunch @ this place the front desk agent suggested called  T.W. Howell's  about 3-4 miles away on rte 30 because we had a long night at the concert and could not make the continental breakfast which ended at 9:30am. The food was really good!  Pineapple upside down pancakes and belly buster sandwich ( Philly
cheese steak with eggs and bacon on it). This place closes at 2pm btw

Overall.  I would definitely stay here again.  4 stars in AC really doesn't mean much so you might as well save money and just drive the 10 minutes to get to the strip... gamble.. eat... party and come back to your nice reasonably priced hotel.

There are quite a number of places along Route 30 for you to stay outside Atlantic City without spending too much money, almost comical in fact.  My stay at this Holiday Inn happened out of mere happenstance--my father is "Gold Member," and I got a free room (and dinner at Cafe 2825 [see another of my reviews]) in return for driving his girlfriend down to AC.

I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was.  We arrived around midnight, and the staff at the desk was pleasant and amusing--not an easy task for a late shift.  We found the room easily enough and it was clean and comfortable.

The continental breakfast was adequate for such an establishment, and while not sophisticated, had a large selection with fresh coffee.  I passed by a swimming pool and gym which seemed pretty nice, too.

The staff was accommodating because we had to leave later than expected, and I had no troubles while checking out.  All around perfect for someplace to lay your head without parting with too much cash.

This is a very nice hotel and very nice holiday inn. It is clean. No residual smells. Service is quick, nice, and friendly. The breakfast is fantastic and the breakfast area is very relaxing.

It's a short drive to AC and a nice escape from the rest of AC.

The pool and whirlpool is also very nice.

When we do not have comp rooms at the casinos, this is a great place to stay. It's lovely even as a little weekend escape from the city.

I dont know about the other motels along Route 30 in Absecon. There are plenty of them and probably cheaper too. But you will probably get what you pay for.

For a relatively affordable price, this Holiday Inn Express is very very nice and worth it. If you are going to go through all that ruckus at a casino, why not retire at a nice and quiet hotel?

And extras - when you ask for razor and shaving cream, they got it! you wont get THAT at any of the casinos much less the motels!

I really liked this hotel. The hotel was very clean and well maintained by a very pleasant staff. I must have gotten 3-4 "good morning" greetings on my way to breakfast. The night prior I relaxed in the hot tub and went for a quick swim. The pool area was spotless and didn't have that omnipresent chlorine stench found at some pools.
My room was very clean and the breakfast was about what you would find elsewhere.....but good. Best "hotel coffee" I've had in a while.

Stayed here for a weekend in AC for a bachelorette party. The front desk staff were awesome!! They were very knowledgable about the area and have us good suggestions!

The room was much bigger than what I expected. Lots of room to get ready!! Very clean!! Everyone that staying in the room (3 of us) were happy!

I missed the breakfast in the morning, but grabbed a cup of coffee around 11am. And it was hot like it was just brewed! To me, that right there, says a lot. They care about their guests!!

My wife and I just came back from AC this weekend. We stayed at Holiday Inn Express for the night.

It's definitely a nice, clean hotel. The room was nice, bathroom was clean, and the staff were all polite and friendly. They provide a free breakfast in the morning (7am) and coffee is free anytime of the day. They also have a small pool and fitness center (only machines). Free wifi as well.

The place is about a 10-15 minute taxi ride from the casinos. The good thing about the hotel is that it has a shuttle bus that takes you to the casinos. The problem is that it's not free (you pay $15 for the round trip). But in return, you get a $20 voucher to play at the Show Boat Casino. The bus runs from 5:10pm till 1:30am at night. It comes every two hours.

All in all, this place is great. It's very affordable and peaceful.

Stayed here about 2 weeks ago on business; the hotel was recommended to me by a colleague who regularly travels in this area.

My experience from beginning to end was fabulous.  Front desk service was extremely friendly, polite, and courteous at check-in and provided me with a choice of rooms to stay in as they had availability.

I didn't really have a preference and was given a room on the 2nd floor which was beyond adequate and exceeded my expectations.  Quite frankly, I expected something average for a HIE, but this room was very nice. The entire room was spotless, nice HDTV, super comfy bed, and free wifi. I mention the wifi because A: It worked!! & B. It didn't disconnect every 10 minutes like it has at other hotels I have stayed at.

The continental breakfast once again, exceeded my expectations. It was a hot breakfast including, eggs, breakfast meats, pancakes, hot & cold cereals, breads, biscuits & gravy (delicious).  Free coffee all day as well!

I was here for business but the hotel is located 10-15 minutes away from Atlantic City. Anyone looking for somewhere to stay which is moderately priced and not right in the center of AC should consider this location. I know I certainly will the next time I am in the area for leisure.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn yesterday and it was a great hotel. the hot tub very clean and the rooms are very clean and I had the breakfast in the morning and everything was fresh if you really want a nice hotel I don't want to spend a lot of money on those casino hotels I stay at the Holiday Inn Express
