The husband and I were on a budget but we still wanted to be able to leave town for a few days. Luckily I was able to find this hotel. For the price I was not expecting anything fantastic but I was very pleased. The rooms were really spacious, clean and looked exactly as they did in the pictures. The breakfast buffet was pretty good as well, they have eggs, sasauge, bagels, muffins, cereal etc. My only complaint is that it was hard to find parking at night and the customer service is not all that great.

After a long day at ToughMudder all we wanted was a room to crash in and relax. My boyfriend had hurt his knee pretty bad so I went inside first to get the room reserved and settled before helping him in...while this did not quite go as planned. Room #1: I put the key in to open the door, and to my surprise found the room OCCUPIED! I am a fairly small girl, so walking in to a rather large man standing up looking quite annoyed was a little overwelming! I went to the car to get my boyfriend to check out room #2...so after helping him limp up to the second floor neither of our keys worked (which I was later informed happens a lot with this room) ugh so at this point we are fairly irritated and more exhausted...so room #3 which is empty, has keys that work...but a shower which chooses between the temp of BURNING or FREEZING...on its terms, not yours.  The front desk guy is nothing but nice...he really was! He told us to talk to the manager in the morning...so we took the advice and spoke with Ron. While at the end he did end up giving us a free stay (which at this time still has not been credited back 4 days later) he was extremely rude and acted annoyed with us the entire time. Not a place I would choose to stay again, but on short notice with pets it was one of our only options.

A solid 3-1/2 stars. We stayed here twice over a two-week period. The first time my wife got the absolutely cheapest room they had which was you basic small room showing some wear & tear, The bed was uncomfortable and I woke up with a backache. The next time we stayed here I made the reservations and forked over an extra ten bucks for a room with a fridge and microwave, which was money well spent as this room was very spacious with vaulted celings, much cleaner and showing much less wear and tear than the cheaper room. The bed was very comfortable. Free Wi-fi and a flat screen TV. Free breakfast. The neighborhood looks somewhat gritty and semi-industrial, but we had no problems and it was quiet. Very close to the 395 freeway.

I found this hotel thru Priceline- was reasonably priced and the rm actually was as photo'd. However, the elevator did not work, or was very slow (I decided to take stairs instead each time, which was faster), the pool was drained and the neighborhood questionable. But I was ok since I only stayed one night. Costco is very close by- The receptionist was not that hospitable, but she later did give me more envelopes than I requested so she apparently was trying to make up for the earlier interaction and just wasn't feeling her best when I first encountered her. For the price, which included a pretty decent breakfast, I feel I cannot complain.

Stayed here for Heiva I Reno and the room only costs $45 a night. I was surprised because the rooms are decent (clean), but a little cramped for a family of 5. The beds are comfy. It has a good size flat screen tv. They also have a swimming pool & fitness room. They also have free wi-fi. The best thing was their full breakfast. We devoured the waffles, eggs, and sausages. I would stay here again if they get rid of the smoke smelling hallway.

So far, so good.  The motel is older, but recently renovated with rooms that feature a very large LCD TV.

My 10yo daughter and I stayed here for a sporting event. I was pleasantly surprised. If you overlook some of the common area renovations, you will like it. The room we had on the top floor was large and tastefully decorated. They serve a continental breakfast which was very good.

The shower function was not that great ... could be updated a bit more. The area wasn't the best in Reno, but it was safe for us and had a great location.

My daughter was a fan of the room and breakfast. We would definitely come back if the prices remain reasonable.

We stayed here because it was pet-friendly (we have a doggie)- the room and motel itself was surprisingly clean (ok, it's not the Ritz) and didn't** have that pet-smell!!
the pool was drained (bummer, 'cuz it was warm and we could've been tanning, but oh well)- we asked for a handicap room, which according to my contractor-expert hubby, was not* coded for a handicap. There was no walk-in shower (it was a regular tub with metal handrails)- and you could absolutely not* get a wheelchair between the foot of the bed and the bureau!! Basically, it was a regular room deemed 'handicap'... Overall, it was an 'okay' stay for the price. we were there 2days~
they have free wi-fi, but not much for movie channels or tv shows~ they have free breakfast with really* good food (scrambled eggs, sausage/bacon, bagels, oatmeal, fruit, cereal. etc)-  they also have a shuttle that can take you across the highway to the bigger Grand Sierra Resort... oh btw, the elevator broke down twice, but we didn't mind to take the stairs..

Great location for someone who needs a comfortable place to stay that has virtually everything you need.

While the Baymont is not a luxury hotel that one would find in Las Vegas or other metropolitan areas, it does provide the guest with a very comfortable, clean, and complete experience. From the soft beds, the basic set of toiletries (Shampoo AND Conditioner in two separate bottles) to the free wifi, hotel-to-airport Shuttle, and hot breakfast, the Baymont is a great place to stay if you are passing through Reno for the night/day.

    Stars were allocated as follows:

    Amenities - 1/2 star
Free wifi is included in the room.
Toilet paper quality was the standard low-grade.
Toiletries included both shampoo and conditioner, but no shower cap.

    Area/Location - 3/4 star
The area (during my stay) was quite. Not very much ambient noise/sounds.
Since I did not stay here long, I did not explore the environs, however there seemed to be plenty of things to do within walking distance. However, with respect to immediate access, there was not much. This is important if you are here during the winter, when you really don't want to have to walk anywhere.

    Building - 3/4 star
Access to airport is great: 5 mins away.
    Ample parking
Room was the standard hotel size - plenty of mobility and places to store luggage.
Beds were soft an comfortable, but only full size
The walls were fine - could not hear the neighbors at all.
    There was an elevator.

    Staff - 1 star
The front desk gal and manager were very nice, informative, and ever present. The cleaning staff was respectful and did not pressure me to leave the room immediately.

    Cost - 1 star
Breakfast was a hot breakfast with eggs, bacon and waffles, and continental related items.
The hotel was under $50 for the night (yowzuh!), and accepted AAA discounts

Great place to stay right off the Reno Strip. GREAT price to pay for upscale amenities.

FREE SHUTTLE - Anywhere within reason... (Dinner / Casino / Movies / Shopping) This is a great way to drink up and stay up without a DUI           :D

The free breakfast was real good, I made my own waffles and enjoyed sausage, eggs and fresh juice.

To the kid and family that stayed above us... I hope you eat the yellow snow
Way to loud !!! (Thin walls)

Looked for a cheap stay that's pet friendly and close to ski resort, outlet, and casinos, Tadaa... we came across Baymont Inn.

There's a big flat screen TV in the room, the beds are comfortable, sheets are clean, and no weird smell that you might find in motels of the same class.  Your pet (no size restriction) get to stay for just $10 extra! There's a little back yard on ground floor where pets can go do their business.  Very convenient.

P.S.  skip the elevator and take the stairs.  It's super slow.

I stayed here with my family recently as we were traveling with our dog and places closer to downtown wanted to charge a %50 pet fee - lame. Yelp doesn't usually do me wrong so i trusted the reviews of this place. YIKES. It was a pretty creepy place - carpets were nasty- stains everywhere - i felt like keeping my shoes on the whole time. The nonsmoking room totally smelled like smoke. Just generally run down and in a depressing part of town. I wasn't expecting the Ritz by any means, but i was definitely surprised that this place got 3.5 stars! The front desk staff was nice enough, but that doesn't make up for everything else. Think i definitely could have found a better place for around the same price. Oh well - live and learn.

I'm in the hospitality industry and I am by far speechless. As soon as I walked in to the room I noticed the microwave and stovetop for guest that need to cook or just store some items in the refrigerator. Before I made my reservation I did some shopping around but finally decided to stay at the Baymont. I did read some negative reviews about creepy hallways and sketchy neighborhood  but honestly I feel like these are people that are just high maintenance and expect a five star service. So next time your in Reno and need a place to stay that's affordable and minutes away from main strip and Airport check out the Baymont inn and suites. Trust me you will not be disappointed.

I stayed here with my two younger sisters for two nights and we really enjoyed ourselves. The hotel was away from the business of the city so it was nice and quiet through out the nights.

The room was really cute with high volted ceilings and two twin beds. The beds were a little hard but not unbearable to sleep on. The shower was a little weird, would be warm then had a spurt of hot water then cold then back to warm. Breakfast was simple but delis - Waffles, fruit, juice, coffee and yogurt.

I would definitely stay here again.

I'd say 2.5 to 3. Cant beat the price $59 includes taxes. Outside looks okay. Hallways, walls and doors are very old and outdated.  Inside rooms are actually pretty nice. Our room smelled like cigarettes.  I would stay again. Price is good and its fine. Oh. The carpet is really old too. Service was okay. Free coffee is a plus and WiFi. Stairs are old concrete steps. Ice maker on the third floor seems silly.

For an inexpensive hotel this is a good place to go.  It was clean with comfortable beds, a decent continental breakfast and a good location. Way better than other hotels of the same price range in Reno I have stayed at.  The shower and bathroom were in good shape too.  All and all a good experience.

Hands down worst night sleep EVER! And i have sleep on a park bench and under a brige. The convention of Mexican nationals  next door and across the hall from us were a raging frat party, not only were they loud ALL NIGHT LONG but loud in an anoy8mg Spanish tounge. It litterally sounded as if they were in our very same room. By 2:30 had we called the front desk 4 times,  but these forigen maniacs never stopped . I even went as far as taking sleeping meds and stll could not sleep. We were so desperate for rest that i turned on the bathroom fans, shower and sinks to drown them out, it was eas of little help. Doors slamming, fast loud  trsfic from room to room and all in obnoxious spanish. There must hsve been 12 people in the room next to us... im sitting at my bed up exsuasted and it is now 7:30am they were still going load and strong. I hate this place, we will not be staying a second night as planed. Another exsample of entitled wounderful foreigners thinking they can do what ever they want becuase no one will stop them. And they were right. What a terrible expirence!!!! Thr fact the police were never called at any time was an outrage... oh and Ps.....Mexico sucks! ):O

I envy the guests enjoying while my kids are pestering me for the sweet noise it is making in my room. Talked to reception they cannot do anything about it because they sold 454 for premium and guest there have a all legal rights to enjoy at the cost of others. After 6 hours of driving we rolled in exhausted to find they'd "overbooked". Sorry, we don't have the king room you reserved. In fact, we don't have ANY room for you. But, I have a confirmation number! How can you have no rooms?! Who is in the one I reserved weeks ago? Well, we have a double room, but that means that we'll be taking someone else's room when they arrive. So, you're asking us to get screwed for your error, in favor of the people who aren't even here yet? She finally gave us a double room, which we entered to find that somebody was already in there! Back out to the lobby, another room key. Here try this one. (sigh) That one worked. In the end, your room will be clean, comfortable, quiet, and reasonably priced - if they don't give it to someone else.

This place was horrible.  The manager was rude and aggressive when I complained about dirty bedding and the noise from the laundry room next to our room.  The vending machines were unplugged.  They had no continental breakfast as promised.  funny, we still had to pay full price even though they didnt fulfill their part of the agreenent.  The upside was the staff was friendly.  I would not recommend my worst enemy stay here.   I am disabled and I was berated by the manager who told me I don't get special allowances just because I am handicapped that his company doesn't make special allowances. In CA, thats illegal.  I thought it was federal law.  He was rude and aggressive, I ended up in tears.   He changed his tone completely when my six foot fiance spoke with him.   My experience at this place sucked!

Easy off & on the freeway. Fast check-in. Dirty carpet in halls. Clean, comfortable room. Decent free breakfast but again, very dirty carpet. Adequate parking. We stayed 2 nights & got NO maid service, no fresh towels or emptied trash. It was Hot August Nights weekend & the price was right. We were out all weekend & just slept there but we probably won't be back.

First off, the price is right. Other than that a let down! They are pet friendly which is cool but, allowing two dogs to bark like crazy next door to us for hours really sucks! Not the cleanest place! Pool was closed on labor day weekend! And I had a weird encounter at 8:30 am with the front desk. Something tells me they need to upgrade there computer system!

This hotel is terrible. Not only did it wreak of cigarette smoke in the hallway when we asked for non smoking, the "included continental" was absolutely revolting. I only ate cereal for fear that I might get a bacterial infection from any of the other food. Not to mention, I left my pillow there and called to notify them immediately. Somehow they claimed the pillow never "showed up." I will never stay here again.

OK in a pinch if you can get it on a weekend discount, but at the prices they normally charge there's a lot of other places in Reno I'd rather.

I've been seeing this place when I book rooms on Wyndham for the last year, but even in the off season they always wanted $60 or more on a weeknight, and you can do just fine in Reno for a lot less if you aren't too fussy. But on a random August weekend they popped up with a $30 base rate on Hotwire. And I heard from people in the lobby they were getting it for $25 on Priceline. That's unheard of for even dumpy rooms on a summer weekend here.

Unfortunately sometimes booking through Hotwire gets you a great bargain and sometimes it gets you the Hotwire Room, I think this was one of the latter. Room had some good things, good king bed, good-sized flatscreen, really good cable selection, good-sized mini-fridge and microwave. But it also had an ant infestation coming from somewhere under the carpet (sending periodic scouts out to various segments of the room), an adjoining door that had cracks all around it so you can hear everything your neighbors are doing, tub that wouldn't shut all the way off, coffee maker that had the wrong size pot (had to hold it up to the brew basket to engage the plunger and keep it from overflowing) and an AC unit that wouldn't let you just leave a fan on without cooling or heating. Also pretty sure I got a "pet room" due to puddle-shaped stains and little yapmouth dogs in nearby rooms. And the wifi tripped me back to the mid-2000s by kicking me off randomly every 15 minutes or so and forcing me to reconnect manually.

The area its in is kind of an eyesore but I don't feel it's dangerous. It's right across the highway from GSR. It's just off Kietzke which is one of those stretches of like nothing but car dealerships wall-to-wall for a mile. Only restaurants right nearby are a few fast food chains and AM/PM for snacks, the only healthy-ish options are Port of Subs and a sit-down Thai place just across Mill. It is away from all the casino areas if that's something you want, though, but still kind of at a nice midpoint between downtown and the Atlantis/Peppermill.

The desk staff was nice, and somehow they're tied in with the more spendy Lexington Inn next door even though that isn't a Wyndham property, but you can go over there for their hot breakfast bar in the morning. I didn't try it cause I woke up late both days and didn't want to have to battle 2 hotels full of families grabbing comical amounts of food just for some steam tray eggs. I did try the continental in-house at the Baymont and after seeing a mold spot on a bagel I just settled for a cup of orange juice and a protein bar from AM/PM.

For what was about 35 bucks all up on a weekend I guess it passed muster despite some issues, I heard the walk-up rate was 80 bucks though, for that price I'd be tearing the place down. When the maids were cleaning I did see some nicer rooms with hardwood floors, though, so maybe that level of money gets you a better suite.

-Our room (did not have a suite) wasn't ready when we arrived
-There was no parking at the motel which is in an iffy neighborhood, when we returned in the evening
-the bathroom had a leak that made the carpet squishy watery outside of the bathroom
    -the air conditioning didn't work
-the keys had to keep being reprogrammed
-the room was generally worn down
-the staff seemed confused and had to go to another building to use another computer
-our room's only window was within an arm's reach from parking so noisy.

After all taxes and fees, I paid $53 for one night in Baymont Inn and Suites - and I'm glad that's all I paid. The hotel is outdated and has a stench of cleaners that are trying to cover up cigarette smoke. The hallways are dirty and outdated and it appears the cleaning staff does not care about them. The elevator also smells quite pungently. HOWEVER - despite all these negatives - the room itself was actually surprisingly nice. It was clean and did not smell. There are modern appliances that are in good condition. The bathroom, again, while outdated, was clean enough and well stocked. The only negative about the room was that the size of the beds, despite being advertised as queens I do not believe actually are - we felt very cramped and I believe it was a double bed, not a queen. Overall though, for $53 including breakfast... I'll take it.

Not the worse I've stayed in. This is no way a 5 star hotel but it's quiet and cozy. Location not too great but their is free shuttle service to wherever you want to go. Lobby is nice and updated. Staff was friendly. Paid just under 70$ on a Saturday night with lots going on in Reno this weekend.  So the elevator feels like your gonna get stuck in it but works the hallways leading up to the room are way outdated
And grungy. You open your hotel rm door and it's like going into a completely different building. The room is updated with large flat screens. TV has full cable and their is free wifi. So far happy with the weekend get away.

Stayed here last minute because we weren't planning on staying the extra night and all the other hotels were sold out  it was a cheap hotel for the time being  $55 with tax purchased though booking.com . I would not stay here again especially cause I get a much better rate or free rooms with the major hotel casinos. The rooms are pretty decent but ehh still something I'm not used to it looked much better online in the pic lol. Not like any other hotel I've ever stayed at. Hallways and elevators are horrible and really strong smell of smoke even when you ask for non smoking but once in the room you don't smell it. But I'm sorry was not worth my $55  but the front desk person who checked us in next door at Lexington  REALLY LATE like 2 am she was great.

We stayed on the 4th floor. The room was great. Everything was clean. Minifridge, coffee-maker (w/complimentary packs of coffee), hair dryer, and iron/ironing board included. Very nice quiet place. Stayed here for a week, $40/night. Great price seeing as in CA motel 6 is ~$70. They have flat screen TV, although image was kinda grainy. Free wi-fi and continental breakfast. Heater/AC worked well, except the 'automatic' sensor didn't work so it was kinda annoying having to turn it on/off manually all the time. The staff was super nice and friendly. Nice place, except for the hallways- carpets are old and frayed and (like a good Californian I'll also complain about the smell of smoke) it smelled like cigar smoke, oh and the stairs are kinda rickety. The lobby is nice. We got room service every day.

Cons: parking was hard to find after 1am (once everyone comes back from gambling i think).

pro: good location (not a shady neighborhood *rolls eyes at ppl saying it's iffy*) good price.
