There's a price to pay for a cheap motel.
My buddies came up this weekend, and, of course, you get what you pay for: the room was worth the $45 but you'll find no toilet paper, a scummed-up stand-up shower floor, and a random array of 1980's era television sets.
The day we checked in, we were harassed around 3am by a drunk middle-aged man who wouldn't go away when we screamed "you got the wrong place". It was terrifying. But, hopefully, something extraordinarily out of the...uhh...ordinary
Don't be surprised if you have bedbugs eating you alive with simple contact with any part of the beds. Don't expect the staff to pick up the phone in the case of an emergency too; they have at least two young children to tend to.
I honestly would be remiss if I didn't say I feel plentiful sympathy for the Indian family residing right on the other side of the office; when your entire family is front and center to the dangerous situations that may manifest themselves at any given time, it must be hard to continue putting work into your place. The rooms haven't been renovated in ages, and the clients they do get in there appear to total the place.
But hey: you have awesome access to the casinos and we had a great time going back and forth to obtain folkloric herbs. No parking issues. Just avoid making eye contact with any psychos who try to beat down your door at 3am; perhaps having a piece on you isn't such a bad idea.
