As you are aware, this is a motel not a hotel, so you get what you pay for. My sister and I stayed here, Friday, 9/2/11, for the start of the Labor Day weekend after every other hotel was charging between $150 to $215. per night. We figured that we would be out and about most of the time, therefore we wouldnt be in the room much, so this place would be good. Our room had 2 double beds, was clean, and had a flat screen tv with cable. The bathroom was a little shabby, as it was JUST a toilet and a shower. No vanity, hair dryer, etc. Most importantly, the room was clean and quiet and suprisingly, there were quite a few other families staying there as well. Also, though the website states continental breakfast, there is none served. Just an FYI. Overall, we will definitely be staying there again! If you are looking for better digsm you are better off staying at the Marriot or Hampton Inn around the corner.

We were in town on business. The room was marginal, where the beds were made, sink, shower and toilet were clean, but the floor which is carpeted were visibly dirty from the door inward. The sink drained very slowly. I was hoping to get some work done during our stay, but the Internet was out. When I asked why it was out, the desk clerk said the they tried to boot it but the manager was unavailable to reset it. The clerk was very apologetic but I lost time due to not having the service. So, I'm giving them two stars.

The only good thing I can state about this establishment is they provide a free continental breakfast consisting of pastries, cakes, cereal (cold&  hot), juice, coffee and tea.

We stayed here back in July and our stay was better then than now. I even recommended a relative who was also staying in town to use this motel. Based on our experience this stay I won't recommend staying here to anyone.

Upon checking in, the bed was not made, no clean towels, dried blood on the bathroom sink and a nice assortment of insects. The lady running front desk was nice and polite but I couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Stayed 1 night, it was pretty close to relatives we visited in White Plains. The hotel gets points for its proximity to a lot of great NY attractions, combined with a very reasonable price. Flatscreen TV and nice cable assortment. Complimentary breakfast was mediocre, but adequate.

It's sorta-clean. The bedsand towels looked clean, but there was a used bar of soap in the shower -- doesn't inspire confidence for something like that to be overlooked.

Our shower handle was misaligned to the point that the shower more or less had only three settings -- from left to right, boiling, off, and freezing. Delicate adjustments managed to find a barely lukewarm region, and my stubbornness somehow managed to get two small children to take showers while they sobbed they were "freezing." Oh, and no bathtub, just shower, which is fine for most but something you might want to keep in mind.

That shower more or less sealed the deal -- I won't be staying there again unless I'm borderline bankrupt, and even then I'd rather beg the relatives for permission to sleep on their floor!

Great for it's purpose. Clean, inexpensive and a short train hop to NYC. Worked out great for my NYC St. Patrick's Day Trip!

This place is a complete dump. Ever seen Breaking Bad? Remember that hotel where Jessi does meth with the hooker in the gross motel? That is Ardlesy Acres.

Room stank like disinfectant, which gave my wife and I a migraine. We stayed for 15 minutes, which was long enough to use the free wi-fi to find and book a real hotel.

This place is a dump.  It's an old motel, not a hotel.  No coffee maker in the room.  Old and crappy, this is a one star place.  I wouldn't recommend it at all.  The bathroom counter was dirty when I got there, public hairs in the sink.  The sink leaked.  The place is situated close to a highway, it sounds like cars and trucks are driving through the room.  The walls so thin you can hear your neighbor turn over in bed.  The front door, lights streams in around it.  After the first night when I got back to the room at 6pm, it hadn't been cleaned.  No coffee maker in the room.  You get a better deal at Super 8 or Motel 6 with less cost.  No deadbolt on the door...no I did not feel safe!

Adequate for what you are paying. Good for a nap before heading into the city or WP.  Some rooms better than others.

I stayed here for three nights while at a conference in Tarrytown. Decent "hotel court" aka motel for the price. The beds were very clean with starched white sheets. bathroom is rather bare minimum in terms of utility and towels are miniature and won't fit anybody but a small child. Nice size mini fridge and flat screen tv are standard. Free wifi with no password. Check-in area is new and clean. Good continental breakfast and to-go coffee cups with lids. recommend for those who need a place on a budget but don't expect luxury.

So I found out that I was in a handicapped room, so it's probably never cleaned. But it was still unacceptable how dirty our room was. Definitely not a pleasant stay. Only come here if you're desperate!

You get what you pay for, but I don't have to complain. The maids clean-up real well, 1  cold night my cousin and I decided to drink we were loud and had no complaints or anyone knocking @ the door. The beds are very comfy, nice size fridge and tv! The bathroom was a good size.

    The room was ok.
BUT, there was no maid service one day after we explicitly told them we were leaving midday and to have our room cleaned.
The owner refused to make any adjustment in the room charge.

I don't understand why there are so many complaints about this place - for $70 per night, this motel was great. Sure, there was a weird smell and the room number was taped to the door, but who cares? The room was clean and had everything it was supposed to, plus it's within spitting distance of one of the most expensive cities in the world. Perspective, people!

This is no-frills lodging at its finest and handily beats Motel 6 and Super 8. If you're on a budget and need a place on the cheap, Ardsley Acres is your best bet.

Given that the surrounding hotels were more than twice the price we enjoyed our 4 night stay at the perfectly tidy Ardsley Acres .

Ardsley Acres CHEATED me out of a night's stay! I made phone reservations for a five day stay (Th, Fr, Sat, Sun & Mon) and was quoted a price w/ tax. Thursday night the phone rang twice for no reason several times & I complained to the front desk but it continued, by Sunday I had had enough and told them I would not be staying Monday night. Monday morning at check-out they had calculated my bill for the four nights charging me the same dollar figure quoted for five nights. They are dishonest, there is no other way to figure it.

Alrighty then! Well my overall stay was great, just kinda far away is all. My room was very clean - no complaints so far. The staff was very polite and easy going. Hopefully my next stay will be even better.
