Wonderful b&b!!! My boyfriend and I decided to take a weekend trip to Long Island and I happened to find this place online.  I really enjoyed everything about it...the owner's hospitality and attention to details, the delicious breakfast, the decor, and the hotels dog Humphrey!  Would definitely recommend Fordham house to anyone traveling to NorthFork area of Long Island.

My husband & I just spent a Tuesday night at Fordham House, in the Superior Room. At first, we had a slight doubt of the place since the website doesn't show you pictures of the entire interior of the rooms. However, when we arrived, we were happily supprised. The room was emaculate and spacious. The decor was absolutely well done, topped with 1500 thread count sheets. The hospitality was excellent, and the breakfast was well balanced with fresh berries, yogurt, granola and fresh squeezed OJ, followed by hearty sausage strata. We will be back!

Had a most wonderful experience at Fordham House last weekend. The place is impeccable on all levels. The decor, the delicious breakfasts, and the hospitality doled out graciously by Halina the owner. We will definitely be back!

I brought my girlfriend to the North Fork to propose to her and stayed at Fordham House. Halina, Fordham House's owner could not have been more helpful. She suggested areas that might be romantic for my plans, took midday calls with requests for snack recommendations, offered suggestions for decadent and restorative in-room massage, lent us chairs and a picnic basket for an under-the-stars beach trip, and just generally made our stay very enjoyable.

This B&B, opened Memorial Day weekend of 2012, stars beautifully preserved architecture and interiors with warm, cozy furniture and art. The breakfasts are hearty, plentiful and delicious (don't miss the chewy house-made granola), the home-baked late night snacks sweet and moist, the beds deep-sleep-and-dream inducing, the grounds spacious, clean, quiet and scenic, and the owner as hospitable and generous as she could be.

From the moment I saw the unique photography on the Fordham House web site I knew that staying there would be a unique experience. Indeed, there is no better bed and breakfast to stay in the North Fork.

My husband and I stayed at the Fordham House late last summer. The unfortunate part was that we only stayed for one night as we were headed to Nantucket early the next morning. Halina, the owner, went way out of her way to pack us a delicious breakfast for the road of fresh organic berries, pastries, yogurt, and more. She left this out for us early, early the day of our departure, far earlier than the standard time breakfast is served The house is beautiful, clean, and sophisticated. A short walk into town. Highly recommend the Fordham House, it is what a B&B should be plus more.

My boyfriend and I had an absolutely wonderful time at Fordham House this August. Halina was a beyond welcoming host and absolutely willing and able to answer all questions we had. The room was impeccably clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was beyond delicious! We looked forward to it every morning. Snacks were also provided and great as well! The inn is wonderfully located and by staying there, we were able to borrow a permit, beach chairs and towels. We enjoyed Greenport, the wineries, Orient State Park, and Shelter Island during our stay. We stopped at Southampton on the way home, which is only about an hour away. Humphrey, the dog, is adorable! We had a great stay and would absolutely recommend Fordham House to anyone in a heart beat!

My husband and I stayed at The FH this past weekend, a beautiful Fall weekend and it was wonderful. Halina is a fabulous host/owner and she runs the B & B wish such class and grace. The rooms are beautiful and she put out a delicious fresh breakfast of homemade yogurt, granola, various cakes and muffins, fresh fruit and delicious waffles with banana's. The location is very close to the shops and restaurants too. We will definitely go back to the Fordham House!

My wife and I stayed at the Fordham House over Labor Day weekend. Halina was the PERFECT host - friendly, accommodating, informative, but not ever intrusive. She made us feel like we were at our own home, and her attention to detail made a huge difference. Oh, and I should not forget about Sir Humphrey - her perfect dog that makes everyone feel loved.

The Inn itself is within walking distance of downtown Greenport. It's charming and well looked after. Halina and Humphrey are always there to greet you with a friendly smile or give advice on which local places to visit or eat at. Since we booked at the last minute, we had the smallest room at the Inn, but it was still perfectly sufficient. The bathroom was spacious and the bedroom itself had two windows, bringing in great light and providing for a wonderful cross-breeze. The mattress was among the most comfortable we have ever slept on and the sheets and pillows were equally as luxurious. We love staying at small Inns and B&Bs, and usually the mattresses and pillows leave something to be desired. At the Fordham Inn, however, they're even more of a reason to stay there.

Halina prepares breakfast every morning. There is always fresh fruit cut along with some cereals and yoghurt and baked goods. But it's the prepared dishes that really shine. Day 1 was Belgian Waffles, Day 2 homemade Strata, and Day 3 was a savory Frittata. Halina was even kind enough to provide the recipes so we could cook them at home. Honestly, the breakfasts were sublime.

In short, we absolutely loved our stay and Halina's reputation for perfection is well deserved. We will go back soon and often.
