I have not checked into the hotel yet, but online booking said they don't charge your credit card until you check in.  The hotel charged three transactions to my card and the manager Fred said they are only pending charges.  The where not pending charges they were actual charges.  I had to get the bank on the phone with Fred and have Fred email the bank and tell them that they only charged one charge because Fred from Cassa hotel said the bank need to tell me and I emailed him showing him the charges. Fred also said they are not gonna be stuck without a reservation 24 hours before check in.  What is that to tell a guest we will take double the amount just to make sure you check in.  I am from the south and it don't work like that.  These guys are really stupid.  I guess it's a New York thing.  People in New York are far to arrogant and should get over them self.   I think I should have stuck to the IHG Brands - Holiday Inn, Crown Plaza, because at least they respect the customer.
I really hope there are no problems at the hotel because I am really gonna be mad.
I will update this rating after I return from the trip.

Well I'm back off my New York trip and the hotel is very nice but they charged my card three times and did not correct it.  when the back credited me back for the extra charges the hotel went in and charged it again.  I have to file fraud charges and cancel my card for the charges to be stopped.  

Wow such a nice hotel for such foolishness.

The hotel is very clean and very nice.  The front desk staff are nice also but they don't handle your charges correctly.  I was told that they only been open one month and some staff don't understand how to handle credit card charges.

Great stay! The front desk staff as well as the doorman were probably the nicest people I have ever met. Very friendly and genuinely seemed to care about our stay being top notch. The room was very clean and very cozy. Great size for two people to stay in. I would definitely recommend staying here / I will be staying here again.

Excellent boutique hotel. We got a great deal through Booking.com . Pros: friendly staff, bathrobes in room, in-room notepad with helpful information, minimalist decor, divine toiletries, continental breakfast includes, walking distance Times Square, Empire State Building, Macy's, subway, Port Authority Mass Transit, Theater District, Garment District, and The High Line. Cons: no bathtub just a shower (in our room), the notepad welcome program could use some work to include more info on nearby attractions.

Nice modern hotel modern minimalist rooms.  Breakfast room is cold and they need to improve the service and quality of free breakfast.  Also some showers flood the rooms as they have no barrier showers.

Got a great rate for the "soft opening" of the hotel off of the hotel tonight app and was very pleased with the hotel, area and room. Could hear people in the hallway and in the next room (on the connecting door side) as no carpet in the room didn't drown out noise as well as rooms with carpet would. Check in was easy and staff nice. Would stay again.

We stayed here for 7 nights and absolutely loved it!! All of the staff were so helpful and friendly. They did anything and everything to accommodate us. I will definitely be staying here whenever I'm in NY. I can't say enough good things about the staff. The rooms are very modern and roomy. I have zero complaints about this place. Very reasonably priced too. It's a great location. Walking distance to Times Square, Hell's Kitchen, Chelsea, Meatpacking District.

Our stay was great nice comfortable bed, clean room and bathroom. Everything is updated in the hotel free wifi a plus. Staff is very nice check in and check out was quick. They had complimentary hot chocolate every time we came back. Location is awesome, walking distance to Time Square and the Empire State Building. We would definitely stay at Cassa Hotel again.

Nice place. Nice people/staff.  

Ronald seems to do everything there! What a nice energetic young man.  

Check in is simple and staff is very nice. The only thing would be the price.  With the price.....be sure to watch....I was charged $75 for parking and we were told it would be taken off. It was NOT taken off.  She told me to wait a few days and I will see.

Would appreciate management checking in to this.   If you say you are with the hotel, parking is $75. Otherwise it is $55. We had NO BAGS that needed transporting from hotel staff.  My friend drove in, I stayed at the hotel, he paid $55 for parking and then I was charged $75. Not right!!!!!

CLEAN rooms. Love that there is hardwood and not carpet.  Simple. Basic and very clean.  Just hope the parking credit shows up...otherwise we paid $75+$55 which is a total rip off. ??????

**** Beware of what they say is PENDING charges.  Will challenge this with my credit card company as well if the hotel does not fix it.

We are finishing up a week here on our honeymoon.  Here are some thoughts:

We booked with booking.com ...apparently the hotel is going thru a soft opening but this information waa not available anywhere. There was no indication of such on the website or thru the booking site. We were disappointed to find that the roof top lounge and bar were not operable. Really, a hotel without a bar? It was explained that there was a delay with the liquor license.  That's understandable but I felt the hotel misrepresented its self.
The staff however,  was AMAZING!  The friendly, attentive customer service kept me from being too upset about the lack of ammenities.
Frank and Alton are excellent doormen and extremely friendly and quick to respond.
Melissa at front desk provided excellent customer service! So much so that she offered to run across the street and get us pizza after my inquiring about deliveries. It was late and cold but She stated her shift was ending. This was way above her job description (which I told her) but she insisted. Thank you Melissa for consistently making our stay more enjoyable!  Really, everyone was super helpful, friendly and attentive. Very quick response to all questions or requests.
As for the rooms: bathrobes are to die for! I literally slept in one one night because I was so comfortable. We got lucky with a corner room and two big windows. Room was huge for NYC standards and the bathroom was adequate.  An in room iPad makes for an upgraded ammenity...to order service or play music. Beds are cozy!

Bottom line: would absolutely stay again and look forward to a full service hotel.

Thank you Cassa staff .... you were all fantastic!  

Oh, and the manager sent up a bottle of wine with fruit just moments after we arrived with a handwritten Congratulations note. WOW! Thank you!!! So sweet!  

They really care about customer service!

This place is amazing!!

My company booked rooms for 12 days while we were working fashion week.

Not only is the location close to both port authority and penn station, the doorman will gladly get you a cab. There is a great wing place (atomic wings) across the street and an amazing pizza place on that same corner. Theres a laundromat and bodega with an amazing sandwich selection half a block away on 9th.

The hotel always had hot cocoa, breakfast and complimentary water bottles. They were extremely accommodating of our crazy schedules.

The rooms were nice and clean with HUGE bathrooms!! We had tons of extra pillows and blankets. The rooftop hot tub was cool to have although i personally did not use it.  

The staff is super friendly an accommodating and the manager is very hands on!!

I would definitely stay again.
