The location is awesome. Room is very clean and modern but kind of small which doesn't bother me that much. Staffs are friendly. Will stay there again for sure.

Wonderful hotel! Newly remodeled. Well appointed rooms with Starbucks K-cups. Great views!  Location convenient to 7th Ave subway, Central Park, Times Sq/Broadway Letterman, restaurants and more. Great bathroom. Would be nice to have a small light in the closet, but that would be my only negative feedback!  They serve coffee, cider and cookies in the mid afternoon. Stay here!  I will again!

We stayed here the past week while filming a movie in Manhattan and it was incredible. Our room on the 27th floor gave us a view all the way down to Times Square on Broadway. Service was outstanding, the staff was friendly and everyone addressed us by name. The next time I leave the United States to visit the People's Republic of NYC, I will stay here again.

Brand new hotel in a great location.  Great staff very well appointed modern rooms!  Love the lounge on the 5th floor!  The fitness center on the 35th floor has a great view and lots of equipment to use.  Both free weights and weight machines.  If you are in the city you have to try this hotel.  The building is fantastic and the service is even better.

This hotel is as good as it gets.  From the time I walked in the door, I wanted to do a dance lol. The have fresh fruit/type water waiting for you in the air conditioned lobby.  The staff has a can/do attitude , going out of their way to get you the room and location you want if at all possible.  (GO AMY) she made my experience unforgettable.  My room although small had a great view of the city. Times square was in walking distance which was great saved me tons on cab fees. The New York experience would have not been the same for me had I not stayed at this courtyard marriott by Central Park.  WOO HOO is right.  The business center  on the 4th floor was also great... you can work on the computers and print for no charge  or sit in one of the big chairs and take in the view. The fitness center is top notch and they also have FREE classes. My room only had a shower, which would be my only negative ...if at all lol, but overall it was one of the best times i've had on a vacation and I will definately be going back, my room was on the 33rd floor GREAT views at night.

This is a very nice hotel. I can only imagine how much it must cost on a weekend during the height of tourist season, but it was quite a reasonable price when I went. The rooms are small (but on par for what you get in NYC), but very new, and the bathrooms seemed way too fancy to be in a Courtyard by Marriott. The bar/Starbucks area is very comfortable, and has a nice view of the city.

Honestly, Midtown Manhattan really isn't my scene. I prefer to be Downtown, but I would definitely stay in this hotel again if the price was right and had business to conduct in Midtown.

Definitely a great location to stay at! 3 blocks from Times Square. Great rate due to my employee status!! Only downside is the rooms are very small. But again, you're mostly going to be out & only sleeping there.  Near subway, 5th ave, central park, EVERYTHING!

So Convenient. Tall building. We ended up on the 29th floor. Elevator was fast which was good.
Everything was new and modern. Room was tiny but that was expected. The mirrors added a nice touch. The View was pretty good as well. Loved the floor to ceiling windows.
Bed was comfortable, pillows soft and plump. Sheets, need to be washed like 10 more times to be softer.

I could not beat the rate or the location again if I tried.
Tip: make sure your cabbie drops you at the right location. First one took us to another marriott. what a Bum!

I enjoyed my stay here and the staff was very polite. The rooms were clean and the view from my room was great . The layout was very contemporary. On the 35th floor it had an observation deck looking towards time square and on the other side it looked over central park. It was a great location so glad we stayed here. Its on 54th but on 55th is the soup nazi from seinfeld. Also in front of the hotel is the Dave lettterman show

Residence inn bathroom door didn't fit in its frame and big gross stain on carpet.

Cool decor. Breakfast buffet just fine.

Very dark halls.

Toilet and tub ridiculously small.

Beds weren't queens by a long shot. Teeny full size.

Technically I could see Central Park but 38th floor is about the crappiest I could've been given.

I should've gone to the W.

Although this hotel was just recently built, it looks very outdated. The entire ambience is quite depressing because of the dark colors throughout the hotel (black, dark grey, dark purple, navy) which creates very cold, old or "beaten up" look. The room was quite tiny as well but this wasn't the major disappointment since the most of the hotels in NY have small rooms.
I do have to admit that staff at the valet and front desk was very friendly and welcoming! That was a big plus!
We wanted to try this hotel since it was built not too long time ago but unfortunately I  just didn't like the style of it.

I stayed here not too long ago...I got a great deal via Priceline.  When I arrived to check in, I was given a room with a wonderful view but I noticed 2 strands of hair on the bed.  I called downstairs and another room was given to me immediately.  I go to the second room and again found a long strand of hair on the bed.  I was furious when I went down to the front desk where I told Tatiana (not sure of the correct spelling) what happened and she immediately called for her Front
Desk Manager, Ashley.  I was at a point that I wanted a refund but was told that I would lose it since it was pre-paid.  Ashley said she would do whatever it takes to make it right, she called down the Directory of Housekeeping, Roosevelt.  Roosevelt said he would "VIP" the room for me and he would double check it himself.  By the time I got to the room - he was perfect!

Everyone was so nice and courteous - they went out of their way to make it right which I appreciated very much since i was ready to lost my money I had paid for the room.  They also comped me breakfast but I didn't get up to take advantage.

As I was leaving, Roosevelt said if I ever wanted to come back for a stay, he would "VIP" the room for me again.  This turned from a horrific experience to a very pleasant one...thank you, Tatiana, Ashley and Roosevelt for making the accommodations for me.

Tips for travelers - The hotel is joined with a Residence Inn - the front desk mans both.  Different elevator banks for each.  There is free flavored water as you wait for your room and they offer Free Wi-fi in the lobby and in the room.  The place is close to everything so if you're missing anything...you can easily find a Duane Reade not even a block away.

THIS IS A MICRO HOTEL AND HAS TWO HOTELS INSIDE. Stayed 3 nights, one in Courtyard, others in Residence Inn. 65 stories tall, about 6 rooms to a floor. Elevators go 1,400 feet per minute! Hard to review because we had two very different experiences so this is a long review.

They don't tell you it's a micro hotel when you book it. The rooms were small, but that's kind of what I expected in New York. We also stayed at the Mariott on Avenue of America, and it was small but much older construction and only had a full bed.

There is no room service, even when you call down for room maintenance you'd be lucky to get it. Better luck just going downstairs to the concierge.

Ask for the Residence Inn, Courtyard has significantly less of a view. Completely different experience. 5 stars for Residence Inn, 3 stars or less for Courtyard. The view and price made up for so much.

In both hotels the customer service, concierge and maid service were severely lacking- our room was very dirty when we checked in, but the manager cured the situation with a kick A&& upgrade. The sheets were too crisp, but it was made up for by the awesome mattresses.

THE BEDS ARE AMAZING. They're memory foam or something similar and I slept better than I have in a long time. I felt no movement from my significant other who is usually super fidgety. Kings size.

There is a complete view of Central Park, but be SURE you ask which tower you're in because one side has the "gorgeous courtyard view" which - at 20+ stories - all you can see is the other side of the building. The room which replaced our soiled 35th floor Courtyard room was on the 56th floor in the Residence Inn side and I nearly cried when I saw it.

FREE BREAKFAST BUFFET, it's not a very good buffet, but what else is free in New York?

The cool modern room design was really great, even in the Courtyard tower! Floor to ceiling windows, patterned carpets, beautiful window coverings and clean looking finishes in the cabinetry, bathrooms, etc.

The amenities in the room were a dishwasher, toaster, refrigerator, and a full set of plates/ silverware, I believe a microwave, and pots/pans but I did not have an oven or range. Enough to get some food from a local market and heat it up if needed.

The elevators are fast, but allow extra time for leaving in the morning as all the stops on 65 floors cause some traffic.

The price and location are unbeatable. I would move to New York and never leave if I could afford to live in this hotel.

The Courtyard New York Manhattan Central Park provided for an amazing stay smack in the middle of Midtown Manhattan.  In fact, it's so perfectly located that it's across the street from The David Letterman Show, and eight walking blocks to Radio City Music Hall.

The service staff is helpful but not overbearing. The decor is something Don Draper of Mad Men would love if he were transported to 2014.

The hotel provides a business, luxury urban environment that can't be beat.  I even made a video about my room:   youtube.com/watch?v=dPrQ…

The rates are very reasonable at $180 per night as I took advantage of the discount program.

It is my advice that you don't stay at this location nor trust the staff. I am a Marriott rewards member and have stayed at the Marriott countless times. I was given the worse service ever possible along with $2000 of my personal possession stolen from my room. While touring the city  someone entered my room and stole 2 iPads and my $700 camera. When reporting the situation to loss prevention. I was told immediately that they would conduct a key audit to see if someone, even hotel employees entered the room. I was strung along my entire stay believing a real investigation was taking place. I was LIED to by loss prevention, he stated that no one entered the room later finding out by the Marriott insurance company that an employee did enter the room at 3:19pm. I was never contacted by management, offered compensation for my terrible stay,  nor offered a different room being my items were stolen. No apology ever took place and the only compensation i received was $500 being i was able to prove that the doors don't properly shut and that there was no need for an employee to enter my room being I checked in early, so the room didn't require room service.  It took a month and multiple phone calls to partially resolve the matter. YES a safe was made available but was much too small for my things and my items were hidden in the bottom of my luggage. This hotel only allows guest and staff to maneuver throughout the floors and elevators so someone with a hotel key would had to have stolen my things. I believe it is the responsibility of the business to ensure doors properly close and that they not lie to guest who've experienced such a terrible event. I wish i could link the videos of my door not closing

Marriott Courtyard Central Park/Manhattan is my favorite Marriott property in NYC. Located in the heart of the theatre district and within walking distances of nice bars, clubs, pubs, shopping, famous eateries, coffee shops, Ed Sullivan Theater, subway, and so much more! The hotel has a very good ambience and the breakfast room/bar area is very nice. Plenty of tables, booths, and chairs with great views of the city. My room with queen bed was very nice. Nice color design and excellent view of Manhattan. The exercise room located on top floor has plenty of elipticals, treadmills, bike machines, free weights, and nice view of the Manhattan. Iguana lounge and the 3 Monkeys bar is across the street. This hotel is the perfect spot and will be my destination when I am back in NYC. I highly recommend this location to anyone visiting NYC.

Stayed here valentines day weekend with my gf. Had a great room, 25 floors up and an amazing view. The 4th floor had a full starbucks, a bar and housed the concierge. Super courteous staff and a block from the subway makes this a super hotel.

My favorite courtyard this far and I travel quite a bit. I've come to the realization that courtyards just won't have room service and I've accepted that which would have been her only downfall but I understand there's nothing they can do.

But they made up for it in location (close to time sq without being in the thick of it all and Columbus circle) and a brand new modern hotel. My suite was amazing I just wish it was on a higher floor (8/35) separate tub and shower combo and a spacious room complete with 2 arms chairs a desk and table and plenty if empty space for me to do my workouts without needing to go up to the gym which by the way was beautiful, had everything you wanted and more with great views on the 35 floor plus TRX equipment (might bring my yoga sling next time as they had space to hang it).

But the thing I loved most was the bistro area great massive space for individual work as well as group gatherings.  I also do interviews and would be perfect for that with the only drawback is needing a hotel key to access any of the floors.

But all in all this is my new go to hotel!

I stayed at this hotel during it's opening week and even though they were going through some opening pains it was a great experience, and I can tell that they are on the way to be a great NYC hotel.
My room was a Corner King that had Times Square views. The bathroom had a large tub and separate shower, and was the size of some NYC hotel rooms. The spacious room has floor to ceiling windows and modern style decor.
Convenient to several subway lines, Times Square, Time Warner Center, and 5th Avenue this hotel is a real value.
The staff that I met were very helpful, and I would certainly stay here again.

I'm in New Yawkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!

I just wrapped up my stay with this hotel (Feb 28 - Mar 3) and I must say that although they still have very minor opening pains (they have only been open since Jan 2014) this is an excellent hotel with a fantastic location.

This is a dual branded hotel, both Courtyard and Residence inn!

Prior to my arrival I contacted the hotel and spoke with a GREATTTTTT representative named Gloria! I advised her of the reason for this trip to New York (birthday celebration for my little sister) and wanted to make sure that there were things in the room that would surprise her (ex: balloons and cake). I also advised the hotel beforehand that I wanted a high floor with floor to ceiling windows (corner room), early check in and walk in glass shower stalls.

Upon my arrival, I was greeted by the bellman who assisted with our bags. As we checked in, the front desk acknowledged my sister's birthday which i appreciated and advised me that they were able to accommodate my request for only one of the rooms as unfortunately someone gave the other room put aside for me away. I have to admit I was a little disappointed but as long as the birthday girl got the better room I was OK.

I walked my sister to her room and BOY they did a FANTASTIC job... there were Happy Birthday balloons and CRUMBS cupcakessssss (if you YELP crumbs you will know that they are a major player of great cupcakes in NYC). I was really shocked. she also had a great view (42nd floor corner room of the city). The room had floor to ceiling windows as requested and the glass shower stall!

I then went to my room and discovered the "difference" and was not all that happy (it had floor to ceiling windows but not as many as my sisters corner room and the shower stall was not glass, it had the curtain). I immediately called the front desk and asked if there was anything they could to accommodate my with the same room and I was advised that I would have to await another hour or so to see if anything could happen. Well after an hour or two, I called back downstairs and spoke with the same gentleman (Edwin) and not only was he able to accommodate me but he came to personally escort me to my other room. I was then placed on the 57th floor (corner room with a view of times square) and WOW the view is priceless with the room having floor to ceiling windows!

As me and my sister reconnected, we realized that the same woman who checked us in... was the same woman who I spoke to a day before and setup the balloons and wonderful cupcakes (Gloria). We immediately went back downstairs and thanked her for all that she did as she walked over to Crumbs herself to actually get the cupcakes! Gloria really made our trip excellent as she also provided many recommendations for places to shop and eat!

The hotel has many accommodations - located on the 3rd floor is the Residence Inn buffet for breakfast with ample seating to just chill and catch up with floor to ceiling views. Located on the 4th floor is the Starbucks cafe / Bar for drinks and it also has alot of seating to chill and catch up with floor to ceiling windows. Located on floor 35 or 36 (I forget) is a gym with alot of equipment and floor to ceiling views of the city (it looks like there working on building an outside terrace). House cleaning was on point every day.

Central Park and Times Square are only a few blocks away. Amazing!

This hotel is a must for coming to New York! Thank you Gloria, Edwin and the Marriott Staff for a excellent experience!

I'm a Marriott Rewards member and stay at a lot of Marriott hotels throughout the year for business and pleasure. It's safe to say that I was very disappointed with this particular Courtyard New York Manhattan/Central Park.

PROS: Location, view depending on your room, and select staff.
CONS: Check in, customer service, housekeeping, and communication..

We had to wait 2 hours past check-in time because our room wasn't ready until 5pm. The Check-in was like an airport line. Absolutely no comfort in design in the lobby. The first lady we had for check-in was rude. We had a "corner" room and it's truly not a corner. The rooms are tiny, not small, TINY. The lights only work with the room key in a slot, very confusing. The pillow cases feel like construction paper. I actually thought they forgot pillow cases. I was so uncomfortable. They didn't make our beds and we had to request it. They forgot hair conditioner in the bathroom. After check out, a day later I received an email stating I wasn't checking out until the next day! What? I had to call. I couldn't hear the customer service speaking half the time. Lines were long. I could obviously go on and on.

I've stayed at Courtyards before and it was not like this. We were engaged on this trip, and everything was perfect except the hotel. We will not be back to this location. Lack of "making it right" on Marriott part made me consider jumping ship on my rewards account. Though I'm staying, I'm very saddened by this experience.

UPDATE ** I am changing my poor review to 3 stars because of the quick feedback I just received from the general manager and their effort to "make it right". Though I will not be back to this location, I haven't lost all hope for Marriott and look forward to better new experiences.

WOW, just WOW.
The hotel itself is brand new, clean, beautiful and so modern.
The room we booked was a $400 room at the residence inn which is attached to the courtyard. We didn't know it only went up to about 20 floors and we didn't want that. At the time of check in, my card got declined (but when I checked my bank account the money was taken out), so we had to use another card and it was charged twice. They all (all the staff) went out of their way to make sure this was fixed immediately. They were all so so so helpful and sweet. They ended up refunding our extra money that they took by accident and upgraded us to a King suite on teh 56th floor! Their customer service is 10/5 stars.
Just amazing, I'd only stay here when I go back to NYC.

Also the location is PERFECT if you want times square, or central park.

Solid 3.5 stars

Wow this hotel obviously has an amazing location (and the price reflects it!) We stayed in the middle of the summer and all the rooms were sold out (no early check ins people!)

The rooms themselves are clean and small, expected for NYC. The service was adequate.

Overall this was a reliable Marriott without any frills, but a fabulous location.

Very disappointed. I have stayed at several hotels in the city, including the Marriott Courtyard near Bryant Park, and this was the worst experience. First, the breakfast service is horrific. My husband waited for 30 minutes after he ordered to be told the 'ticketing' machine wasn't working. Why didn't they tell him sooner and why couldn't they just hand write the order? He had to start his 16 hour work day late and without breakfast. Secondly, the room was really loud. I could hear pipes and room doors closing. The rooms are also very small, the smallest I've seen in New York. I do have to say though that the front desk staff have been friendly.

It's unfortunate this place is so bad. We have stayed at many Marriott's before and usually enjoy our stay.

We will never return to this particular Marriott again.

This is a "running" review I will update as thing occur on my 9 night stay

Arrived late on a Wednesday night and the hotel didn't have a "nice" room. So they offers me to swap the next day or free breakfast and a couple free drinks so I took the free breakfast ;-)

The room it self is typical NYC small the decode is ok but at least newish and very clean.

Only complaints so far is zero storage like dresser or built in drawers and the irons water spray button is broken.

The breakfast options are limited but enough to find something healthy, the eggs first day were runny second day perfect but the turkey sausage was over cooked.

Day 3, so far pretty standard, but having issues getting to my floor (6th).  So since I have already been to the front desk once I will go back today now that I have time to deal with it, the last few days I have been going to 7 and walking down the stairs

Overall it was a good stay.

***This Courtyard's location is very central to a lot of key Manhattan attractions though it is several blocks from Central Park; overall, it is a nice property though the rooms are tight, which might be expected given this property is in Manhattan***

Despite having Central Park in this Courtyard's title, this Courtyard is several blocks (I believe six) from Central Park.  It is a new Marriott brand property in Manhattan.  Like the new Courtyard and Residence Inn combination hotel across the street from L.A. LIVE in Downtown Los Angeles, this hotel sits in a new building--a huge high rise where Courtyard occupies the lower floors (up to 35) while Residence Inn takes the higher floors.  It is no surprise that Residence Inn guests would get the higher floors given how guests at that property likely have longer stays and thus could appreciate the great view more.

This Courtyard has a very small and sleek lobby.  There is not much of a waiting area.  Courtyard's standard Bistro concept is available on the 4th floor (as is the hotel's concierge).  The rooms are, of course, very new and feature a modern interior as well as a power saving setup; you have to put your room key card in a slot to turn on the lights (I have seen this type of mechanism in Japan).

The rooms are tight.  I think the room at this Courtyard might be a similar size to the Courtyard Manhattan Times Square though the new SpringHill Suites in Midtown definitely features a more spacious room.  Even simple tasks such as trying to use the room's ironing board, moving around the room and handling carry-on luggage can be difficult given the small space.

The room is comfortable though and features a nice bed and linens as well as a good A/C unit.  The room is also equipped with an in-room safe, a mini fridge and a Keurig coffee machine.  The bathroom (while incredibly close to the front door) has a little bit of room and was very clean.  The shower has tremendous water pressure and I liked the dial, which shows you the current water temperature.  Unfortunately, I had a hard time keeping the water hot.  The temperature kept dropping even though I did not mess with the dial.

The room features a padded nook next to the flat screen television, which is good for placing your luggage.

Views are nice.  I imagine some rooms allow you to see Central Park.  My room provided a good view of several skyscrapers and even water.  You definitely feel high up, which might not be fun for some guests.

Service was good like most Marriott brand properties.

Room rates are high, which I think is due to the central location, the newness of the hotel and the ability for guests to get a high up room with a good view of the city.

This is a new and pleasant Courtyard and a good option for a short or long stay in Manhattan.  If you are using Marriott Rewards points, the points to redeem a hotel room here are currently similar to older nearby Courtyard and SpringHill Suites properties in the area (which is a good reason to stay at this hotel now).  If you are looking for a brand new Marriott brand property, I think you may like this hotel though I personally enjoyed my stays more at the new SpringHill Suites and the JW Marriott.  Both hotels were more spacious and the SpringHill Suites featured a surprisingly decent complimentary breakfast.

I am not sure what the parking situation is, but I imagine parking at this hotel is very expensive.

Love this hotel! It is close enough to Times Square but not too close that it is crowded and crazy and hard to get a cab.  It is walking distance to the Theatre District which I love.  Also very close to Columbus Circle, Central Park, the Plaza Hotel and so many restaurants and subway stations.

The rooms were spacious and modern, with complimentary toiletries. There was a small fridge, a safe, a Keurig coffee/tea machine. Had extra pillows in the closet, with iron and ironing board. They thought of everthing to make your stay comfortable. Very clean. Bed was comfortable. Slept really well.  Staff was friendly.  This hotel is all about location, location, location and it is a place I would highly recommend and would stay here again. Five stars!
