The staff was very kind, polite and helpful.  The linens were clean (except for the pull-out bed).  The suite was very clean and fitted with many amenities.

The best vacation timeshare in Manhattan.  Its run like a boutique hotel.  Plus the location is amazing -  a block and half away from Central Park. Gotta love it.

New Hilton Club on West 57th between 6/7th.  Convenient to Carnegie, Columbus Circle, Park, etc.

Wood floors in a hotel room is a first for me.  Very nicefuly furnished.

Stayed in a King Bed single which was a much larger than average room for NYC.

Whole hotel has nice upper end apartment building flavor to it.

A nice place to stay in NYC Midtown. The rooms are spacious and service excellent! The breakfast in the Owners Club each morning was first rate. The location is also convenient, a short walk to several different subway stations.

This hotel is definitely up to Hilton standards!  The room and amenities are up to par!  Location is great! Just around the corner from the subway, Central Park, Madison Avenue, etc.  We stayed in a studio room- which was still huge for NYC standards.

Why not give them 5 stars?
- I went to use the business center to print out my airline ticket.  The business center was a computer and printer in the middle of the hallway in front of the Owners Lounge.
- The lobby is very small.  I arrived at 10 am and my room wasn't ready, I was too exhausted after a 5 hour flight to walk around and explore NYC, so just decided to hang out in the lobby, which basically consist of a two small couches on the side of the Front Desk.
- Even though this is a Hilton Grand Vacation property- they operate differently than the rest.  They only let you use the Owners Lounge if you own specifically at the West 57th Street Club.  It's probably one of the perks of ownership there, but sucks for owners at different resorts.

I'd definitely recommend staying here!  Just don't expect a huge lobby where you can hang out or a restaurant in the Hotel.

The location couldn't have been better, as close to everything yet tucked away enough to not have to deal with the crowds of people. Staff was great, they offered lots of suggestions that ended up working out famously.

My husband and I love staying at the West 57th St. Hilton.  The location is great. Carnegie is on the corner.  Good restaurants and a grocery are within one block, and so is the subway.  We walk a few blocks to Broadway shows, shopping, Rockefeller Center, and Central Park.  The concierge is very, very helpful.  The staff at check-in make excellent suggestions.  The executive lounge has very friendly service and good, healthy food.  The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable, and the bathroom is huge.  The room includes a refrigerator, a large screen tv, two easy chairs, a desk and chair, and a very comfortable bed.  There is a business center (where I am now) and a gym.  We love staying here!

Excellent stay. I had a one bedroom suite, it was large, had a nice sounds system and flat screen, wood floors, big windows, living room, etc. No kitchen (which is bullshit if you are a hilton vacation club owner, all the other properties have kitchens!) but there is a 24 hour market 20 feet away that has just about everything you need. My unit was clean, wood floors, nice bathroom, comfortable bed and comforter, slept like a baby! A/C works fantastic too! I like it cold.

Overall decent, but by no means exceptional.

First, the positive. The location can't be beat... it's central to everything. As an Hilton Grand Vacation Club owner, my last minute reservation was a bargain for a hotel in the midst of NYC. The staff were friendly and accomodating, preparing a room so we could get in early and catch up on some much needed sleep. The rooms are spacious and decent.

The bad? The whole place is *so* close to being an excellent club, but at almost every turn they screwed up the little details. Any one thing you might overlook, but overall you get the impression of a place that was built quickly and without a great deal of thought.

For example:
  - No outlets near the bed; many of us prefer to charge our mobils near us.
  - In fact, the only accessable outlet in the bedroom turned out to be controlled via a light switch, despite there being no lamp anywhere near it... perhaps one was planned once?
  - The entertainment center is too complex. Seriously, three remotes in a hotel room? Two of the remotes were designed to handle the functions of all three,  but none were setup correctly for it.
  - The doors were... interesting. They looked cool, but the sad replacement for a latch was annoyingly stiff, and the lack of proper handles actually made them painful to work.
  - The bathtub drained loud... a sign the plumbing wasn't done right.
  - The walls/ceiling were a tad on the thin side

As I say, these things are small... but the sum total left a bad impression.

I've stayed at the London, the Palace, and the Elysee in NYC and while each of those is fantastic...I think this is my new home-away-from-home in Manhattan.

The staff is super-friendly (the doormen, especially), the rooms are beautiful (gah! the shower! bliss!), and the location is super-convenient to everything that Midtown has to offer.  The fitness center was downright luxurious, with fantastic amenities and a great selection of equipment.

The morning continental breakfast was what you would expect...the usual carbs, fruits, and hard boiled eggs. As long as I have coffee and Frosted Flakes, I'm a happy camper.  Breakfast is served in the owner's lounge, which is appropriately decorated...I felt underdressed in my yoga gear one morning. Again, friendly staff, and someone was always around to keep tables cleared.

There were only a couple of hiccups.  I called one morning and asked to have the room cleaned while I was at the fitness center. I said I'd be out about an hour. "No problem". When I got back...the room hadn't been cleaned.  Of course the housekeeper showed up as soon as I got back (maybe they thought I meant I wanted it cleaned IN an hour?), but I still needed some cool-down time so I let her do her thing.

Also, you can read my review of Spa Merge separately. It's my understanding that the spa is operated by either Hilton or the hotel specificially, but that was just a disaster. The automated message we got after the fact inviting us to take advantage of a 30% discount on services was comical.

One visit though, and I'm hooked!  Plus, we got a room on the 17th floor for $299. You can't beat that!

Jack hammering is nice if you work in construction but not too good if you want to sleep later than 7:00 AM.  And, folks, we got jack hammering.

Started on the 4th floor and was driven to the 17th floor to gain some respite --- marginally better.

So, when you go if you like jack hammering, you will love the Hilton Club.  Jack hammering, hack jammering, jack hammering.  Really, there should be a jack hammering discount.  I earned it.

The rooms are very, very nice and the staff is superb easily the most attentive staff I have ever experienced and equal to the 1970s Cloister staff and that is saying something.

I love the Owners Lounge but it fills up early in the evening.  Nice touch.

It is the staff and when the jack hammering stops, well it might be heaven.

Jack hammering.  Did I mention the jack hammering?

Beautiful property! Very modern and classy. Fabulous location, a block away from central park, a quick walk away from multiple subway entries, and a skip from 5th avenue shopping. The customer service was amazing. Truly helpful staff willing to assist with anything at any hour. The concierge was always so helpful with maps, subway shortcuts and directions. Such a gem. So glad to have this place to go to for my future Manhattan stays.

West 57th Street is one of the nicer Hiltons I've stayed at. It's in a fantastic location in midtown, a block from the nice stores on 5th Avenue and 2 blocks from Central Park. If you walk towards 7th you can see Times Square and our 23rd floor room had a great view of the Empire State building. What made this really nice was that it felt like a boutique hotel, not like a corporate chain hotel albeit those Hiltons are nice as well. The staff was very attentive and friendly and they give you a discount card to use in some of the surrounding places. And when you walk in they have iced tea and baked good waiting for you in the tiny lobby. The rooms are gorgeous with wood floors, bright paint, contemporary furniture and high ceilings. The bathroom was even better than the room with a lovely separate bathtub. Even though we own in Vegas, I would definitely stay here again though they tend to give preference to owners at this spot. The only thing I didn't like was that they charge an extra $85 if you stay less than 3 nights.

Side note: the Las Vegas, South Beach, and Ft. Lauderdale locations all had a stackable washer/dryer in the 1 bedroom rooms, this one did not.

Well we liked it enough, that we actually bought into the time share.  I will not even go into all the details that are involved with that part.  What I would like to review is the property.  It is somewhat of a hybrid between a hotel and a time share.  When you are an owner, rooms are only cleaned half way through your stay, though they will provide you with water, towels, etc anytime you ask for them.  Privacy people, something hotels don't really give you. If you are just staying at West 57th, then your studio will be cleaned daily.

The studios/1 bedrooms are fantastic.  Super high ceilings, wood floors, bathrooms that are larger than most studios in NYC and all the modern amenities you may need.  The rooms have two fridges (one filled, one for you to fill) , a dvd player, a high end speaker system that you can plug into and plugs for all your electronic needs.  Another yelper said there were no plugs next to the bed; there are.  They are right behind the night stands.  The owners lounge is exactly that, for owners.  They provide us with a breakfast and early evening appetizers.  The workout room is small but well equipped.  The staff is attentive and helpful.  I love that the cleaning crew doesn't start at 8AM.

Seriously the best location possible.  2 blocks from Central Park, 12 minute walk to Broadway theaters, 15 minute subway ride to Soho, the Village and Nolita. 4 blocks from the MOMA and next door to Carnegie Hall.  Well actually it is next door to the Directors Guild of America (where people who make over 600K a year, have to stand in line to see previews of movies LOL).  This is a small property and feels like coming home instead of staying in a hotel.

Down sides:  The food in the area is just OK.  Then again, I have really high expectations.  Luckily Bouchon and Whole Foods are less than a 15 minute walk away.  Also as another yelper noted, there are jackhammers.  I am hoping the building being built next door will be done soon.  In the meantime, try to get a room higher up and on the back side of the building.

We love this place and don't regret buying into it.

I was invited to stay at this timeshare property to try it out and see if I would upgrade my timeshare property.  I came away very impressed.

I stayed at a studio and was impressed by the decor.  All the furniture and appliances were modern.  There was a good size refrigerator big enough for two days of leftovers that you will probably forget about because come on, you're in the heart of midtown Manhattan with all the fabulous restaurants.

I have to save a whole paragraph for the bathroom, specifically for the shower stall.  I really liked how spacious it was (built for two, three if  you're kinky) and that it had all sorts of nozzles coming at you from every angle.  For me the showers here were the main event.  I used way more water then I should have.

I got suckered into buying the time share on the merits of the shower alone.

Fantastic location. Can't be beat. Subway stop 100 feet away at the corner. Central Park two blocks away. Large, quiet rooms with a great shower. Completely dwarfed any previous hotel room I've had in New York. You also get the nice opaque shower view if you open up the slide so all you pervs can watch the outline of your roomie while she showers haha. Front desk was helpful and efficient, although the lobby is quite minimalistic. No pool is a slight minus but who needs that in NYC.

What beautiful accommodations and a great stay! This new Hilton Club has it all -- friendly staff, a warm environment, and modern amenities. The roomy and spacious 1 bedroom plus that we had included a King sized bed, a queen pull out, 2 flat screens, a soaking tub and shower, and floor to ceiling windows with a view of the W. 57th penthouses across the way! It was decorated with various shades of orange and brown, with pops of white and had a modern apartment feel.

The room was quiet at night, and even in the day we hardly heard the bustling of people on the street. We slept soundly after a day full of activities.

This location is 2 blocks away from Central Park, the 57th Street Subway entrance is on the corner, and various other tourists spots are so close (Carnegie Deli, Russian Tea Room, Times Square, Shopping, etc.)!

Just down the street on W. 57th we rented bikes and baskets, bought some delicious eats, and biked through Central Park and had a picnic.

I highly recommend the West 57th Street at Hilton Club if you want a place in Midtown close to all the action!

The location was great, I had never stayed in this part of the city before but I was able to walk to the subway in a jiffy and explore an area of Central Park that I hadn't ever seen before.  The doorman was excellent and in my opinion he doubles as a concierge.  The rooms were large by NYC standards, very immaculate and offered enough space to entertain a few friends with pre-drinks before a night on the town - booze + ice bucket + sink is all you really need.  The décor is modern, sleek and clean.  They don't have room service but hey, it's New York, you can get delivery from anywhere and they offer a nice list of places with menus included.  Free wifi is a plus.

Very nice hotel!  Staff was great on the floors.  Close to central park, shopping, shows, nice restaurants!  The lounge in the lobby was terrific, albeit expensive.  Nelson,  our waiter, was terrific!  The only complaint is that there isn't a coffee pot in the room, no soda machines on the floors.  Early risers have to go out of the hotel to Starbucks to get a coffee.

This location is a base for hard-sell time share antics and bait and switch offers. Showed up for a pre-paid preview visit and was genuinely interested only to be denied because I attending  alone rather than with my spouse. Not only was I not allowed to attend the presentation, I was forced to pay the rack rate for the room for one night ($400!!) but was also asked to check out immediately. I of course was welcome to check back in at a rate of $419. What happened to the prepaid package I paid for?  Not sure. Hilton if this is the best you can do Conrad would be deeply disappointed.  Nothing like booting a guest out in the middle of a stay. I'll stick with marriott and Ritz Carlton properties.

Great location - 2 blocks from Central Park and half a block to the R train subway station if you want to get downtown.

Friendly staff, modern well appointed rooms and super comfortable beds.

We never usually sleep well in NYC because of the noise, but have to say we were amazed how quiet the rooms were and because of this and the super comfy bed we had the best nights of sleep we've ever had in NYC...

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel.  The location was extremely convenient!  There is a subway stop one block away, and Central Park was around the corner.  I didn't realize it when I booked the hotel, but this was part of their timeshare program, so there were regular visitors in the hotel which had purchased a timeshare.

I was able to check in earlier than I expected, which was helpful as there was not a ton of common space in the lobby when you walk in.  The associate checking me in reviewed the welcome letter which detailed the complimentary wi-fi and two bottles of water included.  Additionally, he provided details about the fitness and business centers on the second floor.  I was able to print off my boarding pass in the business center with no problems and the computer was quick.

The room was enormous, given the price by New York City standards.  The room had a large bathroom complete with a walk-in shower.  There were ample towels available as well as complimentary toiletry products as well.  I had a king-sized bedroom and there was still enough space to walk around, as the bed didn't take up the whole room.  Luckily, the associate at the front desk offered me a choice of a street- or back-facing room.  I did take a room that did not face the street.  I was located on the 19th floor.  The elevators were not the briskest in the world, but it definitely does not stop me from providing a five-star review.

The fitness center had a good selection of cardio equipment and a few free weights as well.

All in all, I would return to this hotel in a heartbeat.  Great location, expansive room, and a friendly staff were the highlights of the hotel.

I had a studio premier room at the West 57th in early August 2014. The room was modern, luxurious and spacious. It's well situated, just south of Central Park within a block from the 57th St station on the F line. I usually stay in Midtown near Times Square, but if you don't need to be near all that craziness, this is more central and quieter place to stay.

I have been here three times and this is by far one of the best hotels out there.  The rooms: MASSIVE.  The service:  WONDERFUL.  The location: PERFECT.  What's not to love?  Oh, and since I come for my friend's birthday every year, they always treat us with chocolate covered strawberries!

The owner's lounge is the best perk of the hotel.  Free breakfast buffet every day AND a 2-hour happy hour with UNLIMITED WINE AND BEER?  I think so.  The wine, by the way, is excellent.  And the food is great too.  Every year they change up their menu a little bit but a few items are standard like the guacamole, which happens to be some of my favorite guacamole in all of Manhattan.  Of all places, who would've thought a random hotel in Midtown would have a secret like that!  (If you look at the room service menu, the guacamole is $18 so STOCK UP at happy hour).  The homemade house chips are amazing too.  They also always have a cheese platter and veggies with dip.  Other foods they've had in the past are bacon-wrapped dates, chicken quesadillas, fried risotto balls, bruschetta, curried chicken, and hummus with pita.  The woman who runs the owner's lounge is incredible too, she ACTUALLY REMEMBERS people!!!

On a side note, the bathrooms have great products.  I'm talking Sephora quality.

Until next year, my beloved Hilton.

I have stayed at many grand vacation club timeshares in the US and had high expectations coming here. I was not disappointed. It definitely had a different feel than most timeshares. It was more like a hotel, which is to be expected as this is NYC. The location was perfect. An easy walk to central park, times square, and the theater district. The subway is also only one block down. We valet parked our car, which is $48 a day. The room we had was a studio plus, with one king size bed, a large bathroom with a shower big enough for two  and a mini fridge/bar. We overlooked the street and had a great view. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The concierge was able to help us with subway directions and other tips. There is also a Duane Reede mini grocery store right next to the building that sells food and alcohol, which was very convenient. I will definitely return!

You can't control construction in NYC, but you can control what rooms you put your guests in.

We only had 2 nights here, 1 night was awful and 1 night was great. So to me, that's a fail, but I'll go for 3 stars.

First night, we checked in early and was given a 3rd floor room facing 57th street.  We see that there's major construction going on across the street, but it didn't occur to us that it would be a problem, so we dropped off our luggage and left.  Come 6 am sharp, jack hammering starts.  And it doesn't stop.  It's loud.  So loud that when we call downstairs to ask for a room switch, the girl on the other end says, "You want a quieter room right?"

MAJOR BEEF.  You know that room is loud, you know there's construction, you know anyone that's not deaf is going to complain, so why put us through that agony?  We had to pack all our luggage and bring everything down just to bring it all up again at a later time that morning to a different room.

Second night, we have a rear facing room on a higher floor, we slept like babies. No complaints.  Fantastic girl at front desk who helped us out very kindly.

So yes, the staff is accommodating, but had the gentleman told us from the beginning, "You're checking in early, all I have is a lower floor room but there's construction, so it's noisy...how about you drop your luggage, and once we have a better room, we'll check you in?"  I would be so grateful, so impressed, and would happily give a 5 star review as many others have.

ALSO-we booked this room with points, my father's an Elite member and we used his points as guests.  He told us to check it out and see if it was worth a timeshare as we travel there quite a bit.  Sorry dad, it's a pass.

This is a Hilton Timeshare property for people who belong to the Hilton Grand Vacation Club.  The lobby of the building does look very nice.  The rooms are very small and you can hear your neighbors next to and above and below.

The linens and towels remind of laundry that was processed by the military.  Most HGVC timeshares have a washer/dryer this one does not.  The WiFi was poor on my floor.  In the bathroom beside the toilet there was a blood stain on the wall that just gross.

They offer in room dining.  There is no table so you are force to eat in bed or stand.  The staff was pleasant and professional.  The timeshare sales staff was very pushy.  So I recommend you avoid them.

It was very easy access to the Q line of the subway and plenty of nearby places to eat or you could just take a ride on the subway and go anywhere.  About all I did was sleep in the room because you could not do much else.

Would I stay here again, yes but I would check the room for cleanliness the daylight first. An apology from management would have gone a very long way.
