Some of the best things we find by chance. That's how we found Beaver Dam Creek. On short notice, just before Labor Day, we decided to pull ourselves out of the city to a place where we could slow down and enjoy the waning days of a long, intense summer. We made a number of calls and the inns were full at many of the places that came up under a Google search for 'Best bed and breakfast in the Hamptons'. Though they were fully booked, they said they could accommodate us for two nights during the week. From the moment we arrived, and for our entire stay, the gracious hospitality and bucolic setting completely enchanted us. Our two day stay introduced us to a place we want to return to whenever we can. The hospitality is a '10', the beauty of the setting '10' our joy in being there was a '10'! It was the perfect place. We highly recommend Beaver Dam Creek as a place in the Hamptons for anyone looking for peace, calm and a country setting to relax, recharge and renew.

Just came back it was our 6 month wedding anniversary and I have moved to Florida and have no place to stay when I come back to Long Island. I have to say it was better than our honeymoon on the cruise. I felt like I was home with my family. Thanks for the wonderful master bedroom and the hospitality it was absolutely beautiful. I will be staying here every time I have the urge to go home.  I especially love the big mooch family dog SUMMER!!!!

I recently had family from Sweden stay at the Beaver Dam Creek House for a few nights. Everyone had a perfect experience at this great local beachy Hamptons Inn ! Great rooms. Beautiful grounds with swimming pool and flowering perennial gardens. The next group of Swedes are coming into town in September. Guess where they are staying !

My family has stayed at the Beaver Dam Creek House twice for our bi-annual Thanksgiving in New York extravaganza.  Our most recent visit was so memorable that I had to write a review and tell my fellow yelpers about this little gem.

The Beaver Dam Creek House is not your typical snooty tooty bed and breakfast.  Upon entering the door you are greeted by Summer, the friendly Golden Retreiver and official welcoming committee.  She happily wags her tail and is thrilled to have new guests come and stay at the house.  Jeanne, the owner is very friendly, mellow and full of great information about nearby restaurants, the best shopping, and where to go for great bargains.

The home is tastefully beach themed and filled with all sorts of antique touches.  Each room is unique and has a different feel.  There are beautiful mirrors, refurbished and antique furniture, seashells, old wood paneling, gorgeous wall paper and crown molding.  The home is also filled with all of the modern necessities like TV, cable, internet, dvd's, books, boardgames, magazines, and a jacuzzi.  Everything is very clean and you get fresh sheets and towels on a regular basis.

Our family has quite a few food allergies and Jeanne was extremely understanding and accommodating; Each morning we awoke to asparagus quiche, scrambled eggs, sausage, hot coffee with dairy and non-dairy creamer, orange juice, bagels with cream cheese and fresh fruit.  She also kept fresh fruits, vegetables, pita chips and hummus for us, knowing that we were California health nuts.

I've stayed at bed and breakfasts before but I've never experienced the kindness, hospitality and sense of "home" that Jeanne creates at Beaver Dam Creek House.  Our family absolutely loved our stay and we plan to go back every other year to celebrate Thanksgiving at our favorite spot.  It's perfect for laid back families like ours who enjoy the freedom of a less structured bed and breakfast with a home away from home feel.

My husband and I have had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful Bed and Breakfast on two occasions. What a wonderful and welcoming place to stay!  From the moment that you walk through the front door, you get a sense of HOSPITALITY AT IT'S FINEST! Summer, a gentle Golden Retriever, greets you, followed by "Aunt Joan". We call her that because you feel as though you are visiting with family!  Joan goes out of her way to introduce her guests to one another, so there is an additional feeling of congeniality. The house is lovely...bright and comfortable. Each room is beautifully decorated, each with private bathroom (with the exception of one room where the bath is conveniently located across the hall). All of the rooms  have  the modern conveniences of air conditioning and TV; internet service is available for free.  The Kitchen and several lounging areas are centrally located in the house; Joan makes a variety of choices available for breakfast for her guests. During our stays, we have had yogurt, granola, fresh berries, fresh fruit salad, Fritatta, and Quiche available for us. Bill (Joans husband) specializes in baking muffin tops! (DEEELISHY). Joan is accomodating and will prepare scrambled eggs if you so desire. And a large urn of coffee insures that by the end of breakfast, you will be raring to go!!! Where do you go?? Our first choice is the inground pool with lovely patio in the backyard, where comfortable lounge chaises are available and plentiful.  The landscaping of the property is beautiful with an abundance of flowers and grass. Or, if you like, you can drive into the town of Westhampton Beach and browse the stores....becasue BDCH is just a few minutes away! There is a large off-street parking lot to make the unloading and loading of the car very easy.
During one of the days of our stay over Labor Day weekend, Joan was grilling hot dogs and invited us to join her and her husband! How nice was that!! And she invited us to join her and other guests for a BBQ the following day.
Most of the guests are repeat customers, who have been so thrilled with the experience that they come back again...and again.  And that's the case with my husband and me....we have already booked several weekends for next summer!!

I was lucky to have discovered the Beaver Dam Creek House while attending a wedding in Westhampton Beanh in August 2014.  It would be near impossible to match the hospitality of everyone there.  The pool area in the back is very nice and the gardens are as well.  The comments about Summer their Golden Retriever are totally accurate as well.  You don't have to be a dog lover to like Summer.

All in all a fine location and a great setting topped off by a very warm and fun family.

I was part of the family visiting with Joelle over this past Thanksgiving weekend. I love kayaking and this B&B is close to the water with a dock and a CANOE!! So even though I was far from my home waters in California I was able to get on the water and see ducks and a great blue heron...very nice perk.

The accommodations are very nice and Jeanne's friendliness and easy going manner helped to make our stay very pleasant. Jeanne is an excellent host and I can't wait to return!

The WiFi is strongest in the kitchen area and is free.
