We made a reservation for the "King Suite" at this hotel.  When we got there, check-in was quick and the front desk person was quite pleasant.  The room was clean although it did have a bit of a musty smell.  Perhaps it had been closed up too long?  The room had a queen bed in one area with desk etc. next to the bathroom.  There was a wall partition and in the main room were a table and chairs, a couch and 2 chairs as well as a wet bar area.  There were 2 refrigerators and a microwave.  We only stayed for one night, but were fairly comfortable.  My 2 small children slept on the pull out from the couch and my husband and I used the bed.  While the mattress was a bit firmer than I'm used to, I slept ok.  The only downer was our room was overlooking the indoor pool, so there was quite a bit of noise until about 10:30.  But the front desk did close the pool and the hotel was quiet after that.  The breakfast was pretty good.  Waffles, muffins, toast, cereal.  Pretty standard fare and my kids loved it.  We would stay here again.

great place to stay - indoor hot tub, swimming pool, close to the freeway, restaurants, great customer service, quiet, very clean, reasonably priced and comfortable...what else can I say?

Great hotel for this price point.  Got a non-smoking room last minute. It was clean and did not smell like smoke.  Even made myself a waffle for breakfast in their breakfast room.  Would definitely stay here again.

You get what you pay for. Clean, uncomfortable beds with hot clean shower. I did notice a smoking scent outside, but thank goodness, could not smell it inside. Could have been the overstimulating aroma of cleaner scent left behind to 'sterlize' the rooms with...hmm.

We weren't happy with the first motel we were in, so we moved (practically across the street) to this one. We were pleased. The rate was reasonable (and less than the first place we were in), plus there was a pool and hot tub, which we made use of every day. Our room was clean, and didn't smell of smoke. We were able to walk to food. We liked having the refrigerator, too. We'll likely stay here on our next visit.

This place was awful, we came here and requested a non smoking room. The room was next to a smoking room. The entire hallway smelled like smoke. Then they charged us a smoking fee when we didn't even smoke in the room. Shady business practices!

Nice hotel - close to the freeway. Loved that they allow animal companions and that they have smoking rooms. Having said that, I'm surprised how the room first stunk when we opened the door. I've been in other hotel rooms that allow smoking and there's no reason to have it stink so bad (I know the non-smokers are all going, 'well, duh" but it is possible to have a room aired better.

Loved the young lady at the front desk. They only had styrofoam cups for coffee, which I detest. She looked high and low and found me two ceramic coffee cups we could use while we were there.

Would have liked to use the pool, but you could smell the clorine in the lobby already, plus there were children in there, being loud and rambuncious (sp?) as children will be - not a complaint. They have a right to their fun, too, but an hour of "adults only" would have been nice.

And while the furnishings in the room were nice, it was awfully cramped. Our little Westie didn't care for it much - you can tell he was feeling claustriphobic. I've been in other hotel rooms in the same price range that were larger.

And the bed was uncomfortable for us - not a bad bed; just harder than what we're used to.

We stayed on a Friday night.  Two adults and two kids.  Easy access from I-5 and there are several places to eat within walking distance.

Our two queen bed rooms was comfortable with the sink in the bathroom.  Plenty of hot water for our needs.

The indoor pool and hot tub were great.  My kids swam for a long time.  A wonderful way to work off all their pent up energy from a 5 hour drive.  The pool was a little cold for my liking, but once you moved around it wasn't too bad.  It was warm in the pool area so I was able to watch the kids swim without freezing.

Rates were reasonable, but the hotel halls smell.  Very strong stale cigarette smoke smell and it had a musty smell to it as well.  The hotel allows pets, and you can tell.  Our room smelled like wet dog.  The air conditioner didn't work all that great.  It never got cool enough for us.  It may work fine for your needs but we like it cooler than most people.  We tried the fan and it made the entire room smell nasty.  It emphasized the pet smell.

The hotel is three stories and no elevator.  You enter the hotel on the second floor.  We were on the third floor and found it was pretty quiet.  Not much noise around us.  Not sure if that was cause there wasn't anyone in the rooms around ours (hotel didn't seem very busy), if it was cause we were on the third floor, or if there is good installation in the hotel.

They offered free high speed internet and breakfast, which included fruit, cereal, toast, coffee, juice, and make your own waffles.  Our room has a microwave and mini fridge.

The room worked for the one night we were there.  But I may elect to spend more money and stay somewhere else if we ever find ourselves in need of a hotel in Grants Pass.

Okay all around, simply okay. Good location right off the freeway, having a microwave and a mini fridge is nice. Bed was too firm for my wife, I liked it. Priced pretty well.

It is great location right off the free way, bed was very super firm.  Great place to stay after a long drive down from Portland but I think there are better choices in the area.

Easy freeway access (bonus) but a really uninviting place. The staff were nice, but there was dog hair all over the bedding, animal feces all over the grounds and our non-smoking room smelled as though 15 people had been in it chain smoking moments before we arrived. The continental breakfast was poorly stocked (no milk).

Terrible place, mold everywhere. Room filters have never been cleaned. Bad smell with smoke smell. Hallways smelled like smoke. Not worth the 64 dollars a night.

I would give 0 stars, but that is not an option.
    Disgusting!!! Front desk staff RUDE,
We were put in a room with a smell of urine. Extremely strong... Instant nausea..
We could not breath. Called the front desk. No answer. Walked down to find clerk playing on the Internet.
Was given a 2nd room which didn't smell quite as bad but did Stink! We threw the bedspread out in the hallway which helped a little a then doused the room with perfume.
The hotel was virtually empty because we stayed on a sunday. You would  have thought a nice smelling room would be available. We stayed ONLY because the room was booked on Priceline.
    We will NEVER return.

The entire hotel had a bit of an odor.  Looked like it really needed an upgrade.  Nothing special here.   But my kids really did not like having to walk out the front door first thing in the morning and have about 10 people including the employee standing a couple feet from the door smoking.  The indoor pool was nice.

Positives: Friendly staff, feels like a safe area, and right off of I5.
Negatives: Rooms are very compact, feels a little gross even though it is clean, and motel is a little run down

Reasonable price and the non smoking room was clean.Staff was friendly. The continental breakfast was good considering the price for the room. They had a waffle maker and a seperate room for the breakfast. Alot better than the Days Inn "breakfast" Pet friendly.

All in all a good deal for the money,

We stayed in a king suite on a Monday night for $91.88 pre-tax. I thought this was a little high for a Super 8 in GP on a Monday. But they DID have an onsite laundromat, an indoor pool, free cribs for babies (a playpen, actually) and their grounds aren't "smoke-free" like Best Western or Shilo Inn. The room was also very clean.

    The bad part:

    1. Front desk woman was a little snarky. After she gave me a key she directed me to park at the other end of the building, take one flight one flight of stairs up, and walk to the other end of the building (right above the front desk). I asked if there was access here, from the lobby, to which she replied, "Yes, but you'll have to go up THREE flights here."  Asked if there was an elevator and she quite rudely replied no, like I was stupid for asking.    It's not that I usually care about elevators, but my husband had his fire pack, I had a ton of stuff, and we had the baby to carry. Pretty inconvenient.
    2. I'm a smoker, but this hotel was a bit much. We reserved a non-smoking room and although our room didn't smell, the hallways did. This was especially true in the morning. Our third floor was entirely non-smoking but it seemed like during the night the smoke from the first two floors rose. Not to mention the fact that smoking rooms are interspersed with non-smoking rooms on the second floor. Gross.
    3. The pool was a little too cold, and the room was a little too hot.
    4. While we were in the pool we looked up and saw a rooms windows looked right into the window. We laughed about what creep had that room. How weird.
    5. I later realized that it was OUR windows looking into the pool room. This is room 301.
    6. I felt a creepy vibe from other guests staying there. I don't know what it was, but I walked very quickly when I was't with my husband.
    7. The continental breakfast was shitty and pointless.

All in all, it's OK. If I had had more time to research hotels and their amenities, I would not have stayed here. I think you could do better for the same price in GP.

    Old, Smelly, Creepy, Dirty, Smokey........EEWWW

I would have given it one star, however, there is that time I stayed in Rachel Nevada (AREA 51), in a double wide trailer, so every place other than that automatically deserves a star higher.

We unexpectedly had to stay in Grants Pass, and was trying to decide between this or motel 6. I figured the extra two digits meant it had to be better? I mean, it has an indoor pool and hot tub right?

Would I stay here again? Definitely not. Did it provide a place for me to lay my head, absolutely. The price was even a little too high.

If you want a non-smoking room, too bad, they're all smoking rooms. There's barely any ventilation, the bed was not comfy, and it was really quite uninviting.

Pay an extra $20/30 and stay somewhere nicer.

I'm giving this one higher remarks. Good parking for trucks. Easy location for food. Bed is more comfortable than Motel 6's I've been to. Good trucker rates. What more do ye want?

Other than the staff being smokers in a smoke free environment.  This hotel was decent. Just a place to rest my head from driving. Clean and rooms were comfortable. Having a husband with asthma the smoking was irritating. But resonance price and comfortable.

It gets three stars mainly for room cleanliness. Bed was comfortable and all around an ok place for the night if a person is only looking for a bed. Good and free Wifi connections and not in a bad area. Restaurants are within walking distance.

The not so good - They automatically charge you $1.50 for the in room safe but will take if off your bill if you ask them to in the morning. So I have to inconvenience myself by going to the front desk and requesting them to remove a charge that should never be made in the first place. The tv is set so that it turns off automatically after an hour or so. If you are in the middle of a program then too bad because you will have to turn it back on.

The two inconveniences may be enough that I would not return.
