Normally don't like chains, and wasn't expecting much in Grants Pass. To our surprise, not only was the room comfortable and clean, the service also was excellent. Love the 24x7 pool, etc., and great wifi reception. The free breakfast was typical, but we didn't expect much in terms of healthy food. Yes, it's close to the freeway, but it's kind of like white noise...

This place was clean, quiet, friendly, helpful. The rooms were *way* up there in quality from the 3 other motels I looked at in Grants Pass.

* Free, open, wifi that worked, with no bull about passwords
* Doesn't smell moldy, or like lysol, or air freshner
* beds very comfortable, new
* nice bedding and pillows; all different varieties of pillow
* Staff very helpful!
* Disability access is good
* Right next to highway
* Coffee, tea, ice tea, cookies were out all night in the lobby
* Free breakfast - cereal, toast, yogurt, make-your-own-waffle, coffee etc.

The night shift desk clerk was super helpful to me and my travelling partner when we came in at 11 pm looking like lesbian death metal/punk crippled Harold and Kumar stereotype refugees from the Big City, fussing about mold in rooms and how we were allergic to air freshener.  We pretty much appreciated that. This is a small conservative town and they treated us super nice.

My tire went flat overnight and the facilities person reported it to the front desk, who told us as soon as we woke up. I got it taken care of, but I had the feeling that, had I needed them to help me they would have gone all out.

They were so nice I took the card and will write to the manager and compliment the hotel & the staff.

Basic economy hotel.  Clean room and lobby.  Friendly staff.  We stored a couple of suitcases with them while we were on a 5 day rafting trip (made arrangements in advance).  The staff was very helpful and accommodating.

I had a few issues with this place, but I guess overall it was fine.  The room smelled fresh when I entered and appeared very clean except for someone else's trash being in my bin.  I did luck out and get some fresh baked cookies in the lobby but didn't see any the next night so don't think they are actually out all night as the other reviewer mentioned.

I wasn't happy with the fitness center as they didn't have an elliptical machine but the complimentary breakfast was great with fruit cups, apples, yogurt, a variety of bread and biscuits, cereals, juices, hard-boiled eggs and the delicious make-your-own waffles.

Nice place to stop during a road trip. Quiet, large, clean and affordable room. Soft, comfortable bed. Free WIFI.

Loved the pool and hot tub (after the screaming kids went to bed!).

Friendly staff. Good waffles for breakfast. Loved the ice water. Right off the I-5, but not much freeway noise.

Room was comfortable.  Hot tub lukewarm.  Indoor pool Cold.  Called down to see if it was worth it to wake up my kids for breakfast at 8:50.  Desk said no worries.  Took us 5 minutes to wake kids and made it to breakfast about 8:56.  Server was already putting everything away.  As soon as We walked in she told us to get what We wanted Now because she was closing down.  No eggs or biscuits left.  Asked front desk.  Brought us some Cold biscuits and said they could not make any more eggs.  While waiting for my family I overheard someone at the desk say "It doesn't take 15 minutes to get dressed."  RUDE.  Would have given 4 stars but staff did not even show any concern about my issues.  Did not even say sorry.  Did not even acknowledge that I had said anything.  So much for 100% guarantee.  I probably won't stay again.

I'd surely stay here again. My first time to GP and my stay at La Quinta was just fine. 1 King size bed, spacious room, desk, microwave, mini fridge, spacious bathroom, wardrobe, cable, and wi-fi. And i like that the shower head is high enough that i do not have to bend down to get under it.

The room is clean, the bed is probably the most comfy I have ever had in a hotel/motel before. Pillow-top, modern comforter, and the sheets are actually soft. 3rd floor on the corner, it's quiet, even with the window open. (You can hear the freeway, but that is like white noise to me).

The staff are friendly. Water/Coffee/Tea and occasionaly cookies available in the lobby all day long.  Continental breakfast, 3-4 kinds of bread for toasting, mini-bisquits and sausage gravy, waffles!, cereal, mini-yogurt, and mixed fruit in syrup cups. Overall a satisfying breakfast, available until10am.

the pool is indoor, and small, but seems to be open late, and the kids love it. the fitness room, has approx. 3 stations. 100% smoke-free building. safe neighborhood. two thumbs up for la quinta!

My husband and I showed up at about 5, on a Thursday evening.  There was no one at the front counter and after ringing the bell a handful of times and hanging around the front desk, we decided to move on to a hotel that has staff at the front desk.  We had a nice stay at the Redwood.

Spacious, clean and well-kept premises. Pet-friendly as advertised, with a handy access road around the corner for walkies. Bed was almost too comfortable. Breakfast (included) offered a decent selection. This is a welcome rest when you're driving through the mountains.

This was not the best La Quinta I've stayed in. It was OK, but generally La Quintas are a bit more expensive than other "strip" hotels and I expect a little more. Probably should have stayed at Motel 6 for half the price.

In our room, #124, there was a lot of noise from the shower in the room above us, which they ran late at night and early in the morning. Their kids running back and forth following the shower didn't really help either. We told the person that checked us out, but they asked if we called the front desk to have them alleviate the problem. I said we didn't, because it woke us up, and once up I can't fall back to sleep, so it wouldn't have helped. They offered no other comments, discounts or concern. Not handled well!

Breakfast was good and the 24 pool, hot tub and exercise room were nice touches, but I didn't have time to use them.

Dog friendly, without an extra charge, which is awesome.  But we had to take a more expensive room ($99 instead of $89), so basically it was a $10 charge.

This place is solid. The rooms are nice and clean, the staff are nice, it is easy on and off the highway, and downtown is a straight shot. They have a hot tub that I enjoyed, and they have a pool also. They put out cookies at 7:00 PM, and they havecoffee, tea, and ice water out all the time. The continental breakfast was pretty standard - I like that they had yogurt. Free wi-fi with a good connection. It is right by the highway - my room faced away from the highway and was quiet, but if you had one that faced the highway you might get some noise.

We stayed the night here on our way to Portland,OR. We had reservations and checked in quite late in the night with out any problem, check in was fast and to to our room.

Nice clean room and no smell of smoke although our room was in the non smoking but with these small hotel/inn the non smoking feels like smoking but no such thing here. What I loved the most is the BEDS, they were soooooo soft and comfortable. Few different pillows which is nice to have they ranged from soft to medium. The bed is what I'll be talking about.

The continental breakfast was not bad at all. They had all kinds of dry cereal, waffle, fruit, yogurt, country biscuits, toast, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. By the way breakfast is included in the room rate.

We will stay here every time we drive to Portland,OR.

Loved this place! It isn't the cheapest in town and I'm sure it isn't the most expensive .. but the price is just right for what it is - super comfy, clean, well appointed on the hill with a view of the town and the mountains . . I'd almost go so far as saying that it has a modest elegance!
Sure it is a bit close to the freeway but to make up for it:
*comfiest beds ever
*breakfast spread with yogurts
*ice tea and coffee and sometimes treats in a nice little lounge in front all day long
*pets stay free!
*all hours indoor-pool and hot tub.

I loved it. Although . . one caveat . . the "gym" is one treadmill and a bike.  This place would be off the charts for me if they just had an elliptical . . ooh, an elliptical in the pool area, that would be sweet.

The staff were super friendly in spite of an annoying running around out of control kid upstairs from our room and a parent who apparently didn't care to do anything to control her...  We got a room NOT facing the freeway and aside from the kid it was surprisingly quiet.  Although the bath tub was not very big, the bed was extremely comfortable and our two dogs were welcomed without question.  We enjoyed the free breakfast, 24-hour coffee and tea, newspaper, and free wifi.  The hot tub provided welcome relief to sore, tired feet after driving and house-hunting all day long.  We will definitely stay in this hotel again and recommend it to friends.

I was thinking of giving out three stars but they deserve four.

First, I've got to give a shout out to all my Bears because I know how you all LOVE you some bear decor and this place is humming with bear stuff. It's super cute and just trust me, you'll love it.

Micheal the Assistant Manager greeted my Mom and I after a LONG drive. She was in need of a rum and coke STAT and I just wanted sleep. He was gracious and courteous, giving us a discounted rate to a room that by happen stance had come available due to some people prior to us coming in and being disappointed in the room itself. They had booked on line for a two bedroom suite and this was a queen. SO we win! They went somewhere else and La Quinta would have been fully booked had they not canceled.

Michael gave us a discount since we were checking in at 2am. Plus, he made sure to get a luggage cart and offered to help us though the entire process that is getting to our rooms. My Moms a fragile woman who spent her younger years as an independent single Mother, so as you can imagine I'm sure-it is a pain in the butt trying to tell that woman not to lift, move or touch anything.

Michael kept an eye on her while I parked the car, loaded our bags and got us upstairs. He was wonderful.

Free wi-fi, good continental breakfast and lenient check out times. I'd definitely rebook here, rec it to friends (especially my bears) and come again with the boyfriend. It's just a few exits from Crater Lake so you best believe this will be a destination for me next summer.

We stopped here on a recent trip from CA-WA, and were looking for a nice place to stay the night. We arrived after midnight, so didn't see the pool or the gym.

The room was clean, the bed was fairly comfortable. We were eager to get on the road the next morning, so we didn't really have much of breakfast. Their grab-and-go options were not very exciting, so we skipped it.

A little pricey for what you get, but decent enough.

My fiance and I always stay at La Quinta's when we are driving to Canada. They're a fairly priced hotel and they allow dogs! The allowing dogs part is our main reason for picking La Quinta.

That and they offer a free breakfast, nothing to write home about, but edible to say the least.

This one just recently had some remodels to be more energy efficient which was pretty cool.

The place was nice, it wasn't very run down, or beat up. They maintained it very well!

There are only two hotels to stay in while visiting GP- La Quinta and Riverside Inn. LQ has the advantage of being near the freeway and has an indoor pool and spa.

The front desk is great and really helped me out of a jam after priceline didn't quite get my reservation right. The rooms are clean and breakfast is a plus.

We stayed here twice on our recent road trip to Oregon and Washington. We liked it the first time, so on our return leg, passing through Grants Pass a second time, we stayed here again.

Our first stay was 2021.0629 for one night and 12 days later we again stayed there.

We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub that is open late. Most hotels close their pools at 10pm, but were in the pool around midnight.   There was a good breakfast (included in the price).

The rooms were of a decent size and quiet.

There was free wifi, but it was very slow...

The rate per night for a king size bed for two people was $16 + tax. They gave us a 20% off coupon for other Quality Inns owned by the same people, which was great since we used it the next night in Newport OR.

After a seven hour drive we arrived in Grants Pass during the middle of the night and decided on LaQuinta after reading some of the reviews here. The front desk attendant was friendly and accommodating. Tea, coffee, and lemon water were freshly available in the lobby. We checked into a King bed suite with a hot tub which was just what our tired bodies needed after what felt like a 14 hour drive. The room was clean and spacious. Bed was extremely comfortable. Although we did not travel with our furry family members, the hotel is pet friendly. They also have an indoor pool and small workout room that is accessible 24 hrs. This was our first stay at a La Quinta Suite and we are looking forward to staying with them again on our cross country travels.

We had a most enjoyable evening and night while traveling through Grants Pass.  The staff was very friendly and helpful, to the point of holding a couple of fresh made cookies for our return from dinner.  The room was well cleaned and maintained as is the whole facility.  The pool and hot tub were relaxing after several hours on the road.  We will be back!!!

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It's relatively quiet (if you stay on the side away from I-5). It's clean. The staff is friendly. Good breakfast. Pool that's open 24 hours a day...yep, you heard me right, all day, all night! Easy to find. Comfortable beds. The A/C is a little loud, but all in all, we couldn't have asked for a better stay.
