Nice place, friendly staff and very clean!  The Am breakfast was really good and they didn't rush to take it down.  Would recommend to anyone!

Overpriced, Bad Location, Very Noisy Air Conditioner.....

For the area this is very overpriced, there are no good places close by to eat unless you go to the Casino. The air conditioner was not just noisy it rattled so much it made it impossible to sleep. This is the worst Hampton I have every stayed in. In the end I had to complain to the manager, who did not apologize but just said they are old units. For the price of the room you would think they could do some renovations. I did get my money back, I would of rather had a good nights sleep.....

The room and staff were good, but the location left much to be desired. The room was comfortable with a nice large flatscreen TV and comfy bed. A desk area was built into the wall with adequate electric supply nearby and a chair. The elevator, only one that I saw, was painfully slow. Free breakfast was available the following morning -- pastries, oatmeal with various toppings, waffles, coffee, juices, yogurt, and cereals.

The front desk, in my opinion, should have done a better job of explaining about the lack of dinner options nearby. If you have a rental car, there are a few options but you will have to drive. If you don't have a rental car, you cannot walk to what's available. You can, however, go downstairs to the front desk and ask for the menus of local restaurants that deliver to that hotel. I was able to get something tasty from a nearby Italian joint. A Shell station is out front, but my colleague said no food is available there.

So, the room was comfortable but the location, without a rental car, left much to be desired. But I'm a big city girl so...there ya go.

This Hampton Inn is in Grantville, and is about 30 minutes from the Harrisburg airport.

As far as Hampton Inn's go, this is a great one. Breakfast was very hot and tasted fresh for a hotel. The staff was very accommodating (JIM in particular). I traveled for work with a group of 5 other people. Due to weather, we had to cancel one night and adjust our check in time. This was no issue at all. We were also able to check in about 2 hours early. The room was very clean and had a pleasant smell- no cigarette smoke or pet odors. I was also able to get some honey and a fork in the evening after the breakfast nook had closed. The location is about 20 miles away from Harrisburg and about 1/2 mile away from the casino. It's also about 20 minutes away from the PA National Guard RTI. Price wise, it was comparable to what you would pay for a hotel of this degree. Great experience. Super friendly staff. Updated décor. 5 stars!

Good overnight option if you're in the Grantville, PA area (just outside Harrisburg).

Clean, up-to-date rooms and friendly, helpful staff.  Not much else you could ask for in a business traveler minded hotel.

Will be staying here again when I'm back in the area.

I give it 2 stars because the bed was very nice and the room was comfortable. But the bathroom smelled of mildew and it only got worse when taking a shower. Not properly disinfected.

We stayed overnight here this past weekend (November 1). The gentlemen working the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was cozy, the bed was so comfortable, the furnishings in the room and all through the hotel were beautiful, the bathroom was clean, and the water pressure was great. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and of excellent variety.

We only had one complaint and I get it, sometimes small things can get overlooked. But when we went to make coffee in the machine in our room in the morning, we couldn't, because there was a used filter that had been left in the machine from the guests that stayed in the room before us. We left a note pointing this out for the housekeepers. Luckily there was plenty of coffee downstairs in the lobby for us to drink.

It was a great stay. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely be returning.

Stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Grantville this weekend and was thoroughly impressed with the stay! Booking was efficient and cheap via Priceline and parking, check-in and check-out were a breeze. The free breakfast was a nice perk, though I believe the only thing missing was some sort of potato.....but if that's the only negative, I suppose this is a positive, right?

The room was in great shape, the air conditioning unit, as others mentioned, is a bit loud....but I find nothing wrong with a little white noise at night. TV was big, flat and had a bunch of HD channel options.  The bathroom and shower wasn't bad at all. I'll definitely be staying here again when in the Harrisburg/Hershey area!

We needed a place to stay, it is near the casino, we were tired after traveling 12 hours. The guys at the front desk were nice, polite, let us look at the room first. Clean, too hot in here when we got in, but turned thermostat down.  Love that there are outlets by bed for charging phones.  Only thing I disliked is that the people are so inconsiderate with how loud they're talking and slamming doors, but that's not the hotels fault.

    Would recommend to others
