NOTE: I started this review 2 years ago and never noticed that I forgot to post it. So the incident below is from 2010, but I want to share it anyway as a lesson to people who just don't care enough about the general well being of others.
Nice clean rooms with kitchenettes. I would have given 3 or maybe even 4 stars for the proximity to a pretty swanky, but random casino that pops out of no where.
Howeverrrrrr... The guests coming from the pool leave a trail of chlorine tainted water which eventually forms a puddle near the elevator - without so much as a caution sign or floor mats for the safety of the guest. So upon exiting said elevator my boyfriend's cousin slipped and landed on her tailbone. Not good.
So we approached the lady at the front desk to make her aware of that puddle, which was a lawsuit waiting to happen. We were very concerned for the other guests, especially for any elderly guests who may not be as resilient. Her response... Excuses. "Wellllll, there are people coming and going..." (She says with a blank stare). Her indifference toward the safety of the guests was annoying. It's sad when people just don't care.

Booked the room via Priceline, so the rate was nice and cheap. The kid at the front desk was very welcoming and polite. Received my room key and upon entering, the beds were turned down and there were dishes in the sink. Okay, miscommunication between cleaning staff and the desk. After going back down to the lobby and waiting for new keys, I entered a clean room. It was clean, but very worn for only being a few years old, with crooked mirrors, torn wallpaper, etc. breakfast was only served from 7-9am, despite a noon checkout....that was pretty poor as well. Front desk staff in the morning (different employee) seemed miserable to have to help me check out, as if he had something better to do. Paid for what I got. I'd only stay here again if I found a super-cheap rate.

My husband, 8 month old son and I stayed for 8 nights during the Hershey RV show. The room was nice, the pool was nice, the people were nice and I would stay again but there were a few frustrating things:
1. Our keys stopped working several times, I was often solo with the baby it was a pain lugging the baby back downstairs to have them re-do the card
2. I left the room every day from 10am-1:30pm and when I returned our dirty towels had always been taken and clean towels had never been restocked, always had to steal them from the cart or ask at the front desk.
3. While having a kitchenette was nice the stove top wasn't great and the sink was too tiny to easily do dishes in, also they give you a tiny trash can in the kitchen and a tiny one in the bathroom.
4. Breakfast was pretty pitiful and exactly the same every day. Definitely below my already low expectations for a hotel breakfast.
5. First night our bathroom sink didn't drain and toilet didn't flush, but they resolved it the next morning.
6. They claim to be 3 miles from HersheyPark and the Giant Center, SO not true!! More like 8-9 miles.

This hotel is great for my kids. They love the mini golf and the slide at the pool. It is just an average hotel but we stay every year for the kids. It is close enough to hershy. And again the kids love the pool and mini golf.
The breakfast keeps getting worse every year. The staff is so,so.
I will be staying here again next year.
