My experience vastly differs from the first reviewer, and since this is only the first night of a 5 night stay in this area, I can only hope that I can find a better hotel tomorrow.

The check-in went smoothly enough, although the woman at the front desk asked me the same questions several times.  When I got to my room, it was very warm and I found a dirty Q-tip on the bathroom floor.

So I tried to lower the temp of the a/c, but the thermostat would not go any lower.  I called the front desk and asked them to send someone to lower it for me.  She said the General Manager said they could not and hung up.

After a bit, I called back and asked if they would please relocate me to another room since it was obvious the a/c was not fully functioning.  She told me the room number she was relocating me to and asked me to come to the desk to get the key.  I repacked everything, went up to the front desk, but no one was there.  My key was sitting on the counter.  No apologies.

When I checked into my relocated room, there was some red sticky stuff on the desk.  As I turned down the sheets to turn in for the night, I noticed some hairs, some sticks (or straw?), and brown stains on my sheets & pillow cases.  I rubbed the stain with my finger to see if the sheets had been washed, but the stain smeared.  When I removed the sheets, the mattress pad was badly stained, so I removed that too.

I called the front desk to ask for some clean sheets.  She told me it would be another hour before I could get them unless I came to the front desk.  She also told me that I could not have a different mattress pad.  So I got dressed and went to the front desk to get the sheets.  I had to wait in line behind a man that was having issues trying to get keys to work for his room.  (He had like 5 keys that didn't work apparently multiple times.)

The woman at the front desk gave me clean sheets.  I came back to make my bed, but she had given me the wrong size sheets for my bed.  So I went back to the front desk, and she gave me the right size sheets.

I went back to my room and she had given me two bottom sheets.  So I went back to the front desk again and she did not understand until I showed her all four corners of BOTH sheets that I needed a flat sheet, not a fitted sheet.  When she went back to the laundry to get me a flat sheet, she dragged the flat sheet on the floor before handing it to me.

I have been at this hotel for 6 hours, and I wanted to go to bed over an hour ago.  Not once has anyone apologized for the inconvenience.  Hampton Inn supposedly has a 100% satisfaction guarantee, and I hope I am patient and polite enough to ask for it tomorrow.  For now, however, I need to see if I can get relax enough to get some shut-eye.

I have stayed at this hotel over the past 4 years while traveling for business in the area. It seems each time I return; the hotel condition is worse and worse despite construction efforts for improvement.

Upon this arrival, the front desk greeter was too busy flirting with her colleague than to check me in.

The room was dirty and without toilet paper...

I used the "fitness room" and quickly found out the treadmill and elliptical where not in very good working condition. The belt on the treadmill barely moved...

Better to look for a better / cleaner hotel in the area.. Even if I don't get the Hhonors perks / points.

This hotel provided a very nice and very clean experience.  The bed was comfortable.  The room was clean.  The staff was friendly.  The complimentary breakfast in the morning was good and typical of most Hampton Inns.

The only drawback to this hotel is the exit.  The exit ramp is confusing.  You can only enter and exit from one direction.  Also there is a railing through the median, but no real place to turn around.  It seems like a poor design.  If you're looking for easy-on/easy-off, this isn't it.

I am staying here on Business and its one of the nicest places the Company has put us up in. For a person who likes to get out and walk(like myself) the busy road isnt really set up for it - No sidewalk, and while there is a sort of Emergency Lane bordering the hotel side, I prefer a little more distance between cars whizzing by and myself = Safety First. There is however a bus stop right outside the door that goes all the way to the Downtown area.

This 4 story hotel is a Hilton owned Property and the Rooms are really nice with big plush comfy beds and thick heavy comforters with 3 pillows per bed. I sleep on the floor and was really comfortable using the comforter and 6 pillows (I'm by myself in doubled occupancy room). One side of the room is a  wood paneled work station/desk area wt a comfortable office chair on wheels & the internet connection is pretty decent if you are using Firefox. A couple of my co-workers had complaints in this area who were using Explorer (Duh).

Each room features a Big 50 inch Large Screen TV that adjust to turn wherever you are set up in the room, a spacious wood paneled closed door closet wt Iron & ironing board (Whatever thats for?? Grilled cheese sandwiches?) and a Chest of drawers that also contains a small refrigerator and microwave area. The bathroom is also quite spacious with plenty of towels and a hair dryer on the wall.

The hotel features a small 5ft deep indoor pool and Jacuzzi for year around use which is adjacent to a fitness room wt all your modern standard weight room equipment and plenty of towels.

The phone in the room wasnt receiving incoming calls and the maintenance team responded just minutes after reporting the issue to the front desk. Also the Maid Service was quite nice offering extra towels, coffee supplies, soap & shampoo even though there was already plenty.

Overall a nice experience and I'd recommend it.

I love this hotel!!!    We have family in the PIttsburgh area and always stay here when possible.  It's like coming home.  The staff is friendly.  The rooms are clean and comfortable.  The breakfast buffet is one of the best I've had.  I am so disappointed when this hotel is full and I have to stay someplace else.  This is the best in the North Hills section of Pittsburgh.  The only drawback is that McKnight Road doesn't have convenient left turns but that's not the hotel's fault.

Stayed here for business and the rooms are in good shape, clean and very nicely appointed. Bathroom was clean.

Did not spend much time at the room at all but overall very nice.

Price was a bit high I thought but being that close to Pittsburgh maybe a better price than I think. $132.00 + all of the taxes came to about $150.00 a night.

Decent stop to rest our heads.  Walls. Are thick. You hear nothing.  The staff is amazing.  The facility is squeaky clean.  Missed warm cookies upon check in...can't remember if that's a Double Tree ;). The breakfast spread was the best we've ever seen at a Hampton. Warm eggs with cheese and sausage! Huge bonus.

This was our least favorite Hampton Inn.

The WIFI didn't work. At all. Could not connect my iPhone, iPad nor laptop. The guy at the front desk was surly and wouldn't re-boot the modem or try to help. Instead said we had to call a special number for help. Fortunately, my iPhone has the hotspot feature. I was able to connect my devices instantly.

Surly guy didn't give C "the bag." i.e. the bag that they give to Elite members. She went back and asked. He didn't apologize; just handed her the bag.

Room had no sheers. So you are on full view to the hotel next door or hiding in the dark of your room. Thoughtless.

Best service ever. Seriously. It is midnight, and I am so impressed that I am typing through squinted eyes so I can get this review out as soon as possible. The staff were all friendly, helpful with restaurants and stores, the room was nice and so clean, the beds were heavenly, and the pool was very clean! Around 11:30pm, my 2.5yr old woke from a dead sleep and threw up all over the bed he and I were sharing. Super gross. I called the front desk for new sheets and without skipping a beat, she was offering everything she could to help! She asked two different times if we'd like to switch rooms! I insisted I was more than satisfied by making the bed myself, no problem. She came to drop off clean sheets and pick up the barfed ones herself. I am SO impressed, I would totally go out of my way to stay here again!
