I've stayed here twice.  Large, modern rooms with nice kichenettes.  HVAC worked just fine both times I stayed.  Maids are polite and professional, desk staff is a little uneven.  Rooms are clean, although the non carpeted area can get a little sticky.  You might not find this on some mapping software because the road is relatively new.  The Yelp address is incorrect, it is Pittsburgh (McCandless), not East Pittsburgh.

Close to a good sub shop (DiBella's) and a good ice cream shop (Handel's) with more shops coming across McKnight Road.

Just to year old this new venture by Hilton is interesting, funky and has nicely appointed rooms. Includes kitchen with full-size appliances.  The sheets are the most comfortable I ever slept on. We were a little disappointed that the pool did not include a hot tub for tired our bones after traveling. My husband seem to have an allergic reaction to the saline  pool the caused his eyes to burn.  This is geared towards extended stay customers but they welcome one might stays.

pros: free breakfast, suite style rooms with kitchens, pool, you can reserve a highchair and crib, and free breakfast

cons: slightly dirty. i was surprised that they only opened one year ago. carpets in hallways were dirty during the three days we were there. they use the "eco" shampoo and soap dispensers so there is no in-room lotion. when we entered room, the dishwasher had not been run so we had to wait for clean dishes to serve our child dinner on after a long trip.

note: this hotel is "only" 8 miles from pittsburgh. it is a SOLID 30 minutes into the city during great conditions. friday afternoon/evening it is more like an hour. you've been warned...

Only open 16 days, and it shows in the sparkling cleanliness and vivacious friendliness of the staff.  Bests:  breakfasts, coffee, shower, space in the room.  Eh:  the room felt a little like a hospital room, and the decor on the wall looked like a toilet seat.  Overall:  definitely would return!  Well done, Hilton!

The hotel design itself is modern and the rooms are nice, having a kitchenette in each.  However, I have a lot of cons.  The room itself seemed only part clean.  I can't stand seeing other peoples hair in the bathroom.  I dealt with two different front desk staff and neither were overly friendly.  I wasn't asked if I wanted a water/snack even though I'm a Diamond member.  Then when I asked about a late check out I was told flatly no.  At the breakfast bar I asked if they had any sandwiches with meat and I was told they were all gone already.  Right, you can't go in the back cooler and grab ONE?  You're telling me you have none for tomorrow's service?  So lesson is get up an hour earlier to have a chance at meat for breakfast.  I won't be back to this hotel.

I love the new , clean and modern hotel. The reason for 3 stars instead of 4 is that the outdoor lounge fire pit area was full of smokers. You are blasted with smoke upon entry. This area should be non smoking.

Even one smoker ruins it for all

They have a blackout shade but light seeps through the ends and my room 220 had a shade that was showing wear.

the beds aren't really soft enough. Oddly the pillows are folded into each other and cases are very wrinkled. the sheets were very wrinkled also.

+++++++UPDATE. I stayed here again and i left an earring on the nightstand.  For sure left it and called when I realized it but their phones weren't working. I got a fax line.  Later on, I called and they knew about the phone problem. Nevertheless,, they said NO earring was found.

A bit suspicious!!!!!!  In fact, i had nothing else in the room essentially. Nothing to really clean...... I asked them to look again in the room and nobody found anything......

The room cleaner was asked and he said nothing was found.

Stayed here overnite after I was assured by a customer service rep that they would provide induction coil , which was important for us as we wanted to cook a meal for our toddler who hadn't eaten the while day. Apparently that is against the hotel policy, and we shouldn't have been told that and that was communicated to us by completely imbecile staff!! The staff here could certainly benefit from courses in communication - rude, obnoxious, curt and totally lacking in compassion. And the manager in the morning who was equally curt and offered to waive the charge off like she was doing us a favour! One staff member, Bev, saved the day for us and it was because of her that my child was able to eat. Note to Hilton: promote people like Bev- if there are more people like her, I'll be inclined to come back and tip more.

With the exception of housekeeping staff, the worst customer service I've experienced. I spend more time in hotels than I do at home, so my expectations may be too high. I try to stay exclusively at Hilton properties but cannot recommend this particular one. Get with it.

Very nice, clean and enjoyable place to stay while out of town .

Any property owned by / carrying the hilton name speaks for itself.

Have stayed about 10 times at this hotel and probably 20 in home 2 in last 12 months.

    Highly recommend this property

I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

All the amenities on the website were there!  Clean rooms, hotel smelled newly renovated ( I was surprised to hear it was over a year old) , heated pool, washer/dryers. Hotplates available if desired.  Exercise room was decent (if you need more, they offer 5 free days at the LA | Fitness next door).  Included breakfast was tasty, varied and more than sufficient, Complimentary coffee, apples and hot chocolate available 24 hours - Wifey says the coffee was decent (I'm a hot chocolate fan).  If you're on foot, many types of shopping and food are available to you with a short walk down the hill, with more to come!  Its an area under development.

Cons: sliding Bathroom door was challenging to lock/unlock.
