Great hotel.  Comfortable bed.  Friendly staff.  Clean!   Yummy breakfast.  And...all for under $100, only 10 minute drive from History Battery Street.

Very clean! Comfy bed! Don't know what you could really complain about!  I would have given it a 5 if the fitness center had working equipment.  The treadmill runs until you step on it :( and the pully machine was extremely hard to maneuver... but if you aren't looking to use it then it's a perfectly fine hotel!

Can't complain about the hotel itself - nice suite, comfy bed, everything very clean and good service, and around 90 bucks.

I have to take off stars for the location though, in the middle of a traffic island.  A small parking lot is wedged in there, and it was almost full when we got back at night - and this wasn't yet prime season.  You have to make multiple left or u turns it seems to get in/out no matter where you are headed.   That became annoying and time-consuming pretty quickly. So 3.5 stars.

Overall, a nice hotel with some significant logistical, and training, issues. Stay here if you can handle numerous annoyances, as well as, being in very close quarters with several people. We were here for one night and was a "stay and cruise package" which allowed me to leave my car and be taken to the cruise ship, seemed like a good idea at the time....

My "adventure" began with being charged the wrong rate for my stay, after arguing with the front desk staff member for over half an hour I decided to just sign the rate - $159.99, which was significantly higher than $125, which was the rate that I agreed to when making the reservation. It gets better...I went on the internet, found the rate on their website, showed it to the front desk woman (who repeatedly claimed that this was one rate, and one rate only, that everyone was charged). She then agreed to change my rate, and I signed a new agreement. The fun doesn't stop there, I was charged TWICE for $159.99 rate plus tax, which came to about $174 each. This now became $348 that was in the "pending" transaction purgatory that I could no longer have available on my cruise! Ahhhhhhh!!

The hotel is entirely too small for the amount of people staying there - specifically, the PARKING LOT! I cannot stress how incredibly annoying it was to get back from dinner, and to find NOT ONE PARKING SPOT IN THE ENTIRE LOT! Yes, I realize I am screaming, but it does not do justice to have to drive around the building multiple times in order to find a place to park my car, so that I can finally go to sleep. Very, very annoying!

Our driver to the cruise was pretty nice, but did a lot of texting while driving and talking on the phone. This prompted a seat belt use. Additionally, on the way back he left us waiting for another one of his taxi's due to his van being filled with other people. Kind of annoying to wait another 15 minutes for another vehicle to show up.

The hotel is clean, and does provide breakfast, but it is INSANITY to try to get food and sit down. It is way too overcrowded with not enough space for everyone to eat and enjoy their meals. Again, very annoying.

I travel to charleston regularly for work and usually stay here. Odd location, in middle of several crossing roads. Getting in and out is always tricky. Not to mention small parking area. Which recently was made worse when a large number of spots were coned off, two buses were coming in. That said, hotel itself is nice. Comfy beds and pillows. Large flat screen tvs and cold fridge. What more can you ask for? Road noise can be an issue depending on what side of hotel your room is located. I just cut the fan of ac unit and it works like white noise. Location is good. Right around many places to eat and shop and only minutes from downtown.

Book directly with the hotel. Their 800 number connects you to someone in the Dominican Republic with a lot of attitude who doesn't have the right information about the rooms.

I stayed here when I visited Charleston for a business trip before moving down here. It's a nice hotel, with a pool inside and a workout room, and a pretty good morning breakfast (definitely more than just coffee and donuts, they had fruit, cereal, etc).

The main issue I had was parking and getting around. The parking lot is small, and you cannot make a left turn into the hotel coming off 526- you have to go down Savannah Hwy, turn around, then make a right turn into the parking lot. So... my GPS was highly annoyed at me.

I think it's a good hotel for a night (which is how long I was there), but if I were staying for awhile I'd probably find somewhere else just to avoid that traffic nightmare of the U-turn/island.
