My dad's business used to have a week-long retreat for executive employees and their family every year. My sister and I would always be mad about it after we moved to Texas because we'd miss the first week of school. A couple years, we spent the week in Kiawah. They have cute condos set up like Rainbow Row and a Boardwalk. They have bike rental and other fun amenities too. Our digs were fabulous.
I can't speak for price, but Kiawah is a beautiful resort.

The golf is great. Every course is perfectly manicured and I would recommend any golfer to experience Kiawah at least once. We stayed at a villa that was beachside and a great location. The villa could use some updating. It was adequate but not luxurious. Everything on the island is very expensive. If you want to take in a casual dinner for two at one of the pubs, expect to pay $80-100 for modest fare. I expected it so it wasn't sticker shock for me, but I was surprised to hear that another customer comment their mixed drink was $18. The Ocean course is beautiful and I'm glad to check it off the bucket list. Turtle Point, Osprey, and Cougar Point were also very nice and the conditions just as good. But if I'm going to Kiawah, I'm going to play the Ocean Course.

Kiawah is da bomb! They did close down some of the great restaurants that they had a few years ago, but this resort is awesome. The beach was great, the condos are great for families to stay in, and they have great golfing and tennis courts. When we were kids we would all play tennis against each other and the losers had to buy Scoops (the ice cream shop in the little marketplace).
A lot of great memories at Kiawah Island.
