Best spa in Charleston! I have probably been here over 20 times. My favorite part is the horizon edge pool where you can sit outside on the rood deck and eat lunch from the spa menu.
Lots of treatments to choose from. They have a Vichy shower where they do their scrub treatments. Hours are nice...and open on Sunday!
It's nice to have a facial or massage and then spend the day there enjoying all the spa has to offer.

Charleston Place one of the BEST hotels in Charleston, but the spa leaves much to be desired. I was so disappointed in the 2 treatments I got, and for what I paid for them... it almost made me sick. I used to work at one of the stores in the Hotel and always steered customers away from the spa. If you want to spend, get your $'s worth at one of the many outstanding restaurants instead (Peninsula Grill, Hanks, Ansons).

I had a hard time picking how many stars to give the Spa. Last summer some girlfriends and I ditched work one afternoon and head to the Spa for an afternoon of fun.
The good: THE POOL! It's amazing. So relaxing, great view, not crowded. The sun deck is great as well. We popped some wine, read celebrity magazines and enjoyed the afternoon. The changing area/locker rooms were nice as well. Very spacious and inviting.
The okay: My massage was not nearly as good as I thought. I've had way better at Urban Nirvana in Mt. P. It wasn't bad by any means but for the amount you pay here it wasn't worth it. Some of my girls felt the same way.
The bad: Nothing bad but wasn't overall thrilled with the services. The location, amenities, etc are wonderful but I'm not sure I would go back for a massage with so many other options in Charleston.

Kerri O. gave me the best massage I've ever had and I'm not a rookie massage-getter. No idea how such a cute little girl has such strong hands. Expensive as shit but still well worth it. Kerri please marry me.

I wanted a massage, facial and manicure and they had a package that had all three for the price of two. Loved my facial and massage, but the manicure was basic and nothing lavish. People were all super friendly and considerate of my comfort level. Atmosphere could be better -- a lot of foot traffic in the waiting area, which made it hard to unwind.

I had a Brazilian bikini wax done by Stacy. It was amazing. I travel everywhere and have had waxes done across the country. Stacy was top notch and took her time to get everything right. The conversation during the wax was pleasant and a welcomed distraction. I highly recommend going here.

I won a gift card to the famous Charleston Place. I was a bit skeptical at first, but as soon as I walked into the spa, my life changed for that moment in time. The customer service was phenomenal and from beginning to end. I got the best massage of my entire life. I actually stopped thinking about my mundane daily routine and escaped to a world I never wanted to leave. I will definitely go here again!

It's the holidays, what better reason to get a massage? I've noticed since living here that we really don't have a true day OR full spa in Charleston -- sort of odd considering there are vacationers and locals willing to spend money on that kind of thing. I only ended up at Charleston Place because I had some holiday shopping to do and it seemed convenient, though FAR from cheap (if you're price sensitive, this may not be the place for you!). If it weren't for my employer picking up the tab, I may have thought twice about the $140 price tag on a 50 min massage.
I was pretty happy with experience and extremely happy with my deep tissue massage. Wendy was awesome! I explained the areas on my back that were bothering me and she focused only on those. I was happy that she actually worked on my back (i.e. the whole process hurt) rather than just waving around some aromatherapy and oils. After a few hours and now days later, I feel awesome. There was almost no one there, so after my appointment I sat for a bit at the pool and relaxed.
If you're used to some of the big city fancy hotel spas or even Red Door, you may find this place slightly below expectations. It's definitely nice and clean with friendly, accommodating staff, but it doesn't have that shiny, new, expensive feel to it. And, for the price, one might say it ought to. That said, I already booked another appointment to go back.
