Nice, newer, clean hotel with friendly staff and comfortable beds.  There is a Cracker Barrel, Sonic, and some other fast food close, as well as a Walmart.  The location is convenient to I-24, Lookout Mountain, and downtown Chattanooga.

I can't give more than 3 stars for a Fairfield Inn but this hotel was perfect for our weekend getaway to Chartanooga.  The location was perfect.  We were 15 minutes or less from everything.  We took the scenic route to the Lookouts baseball game, ate at the Choo Choo, and did Rock City, Ruby Falls and the Incline Railway.  Easy in and out.  The staff was so friendly and handled the completely booked hotel wonderfully.  We stayed in a queen studio with 3 kids and 2 adults and, while it was crowded, we were comfortable.  The hotel was bright and clean.  The only negatives:  because the hotel was booked, they had no spare foam pillows so my husband was forced to take Benedryl all weekend.  And, the indoor pool area is small and hot.  In May, an indoor pool is not refreshing and having a room that overlooks the neighboring Hampton Inn water slide and pool was cruel!   Bottom line:  finding an affordable hotel for a family of 5 is difficult, but the Fairfield Inn met our needs perfectly.

This was a really nice Fairfield.  It was clean and I liked the fresh cookies waiting for us.  Pool was nice, warm enough for us.

Two words. Mountain view. Oh yeah. That's the way uh huh, uh huh, I like it. Wifey and I were here two years ago and we loved it. We made it a part of our road trip from Chi Town to the Sunshine State. Worth every penny. Hot breakfast in the morning. Place is spotless. Rooms are super clean and the beds are the best. The indoor pool is my daughters favorite. Great customer service. Cannot wait to be back next year. Two thumbs up!!

Clean rooms, kind staff, and good breakfast (eggs, sausage, Belgian Waffles).  Plus it's conveniently located minutes from the highway and seconds from a Walmart and a Logan's Roadhouse. We were only a 10 minute drove from downtown Chattanooga too. Our room came equipped with a fridge and microwave, and of course cable tv. The view of the mountain from our window was a nice bonus. We were very happy and the 12pm checkout was a whole hour later than we are used to so that was sweet.

The worst hotel in Chattanooga. They sent us to another hotel at 1 am after driving for 12 hours because they overbooked. There was no courtesy phone call to inform us of any change, the night shift clerk let us drive all the way there before informing us of an issue. Furthermore the clerk was rude when informing us of the problem.  Definitely will not be returning.

New hotel with great beds and good service. Good climate control with a real wall thermostat. Great shower. Breakfast is included and very good w/ nice selection but not drastically different than other similar hotels.  As others have mentioned on other review sites footsteps do seem to transmit into the room but otherwise sound control is good. Indoor pool looked great and workout room is 24/7.

Their breakfast buffet starts at 6:30am, which got us off to a late start on our road trip.

To compare/contrast with the Hampton Inn below it on the hill:
Fairfield is new, but can have noisy foot traffic, 6:30am breakfast, indoor pool.
Hampton Inn is solid and quiet but a little older, 6am breakfast, outdoor pool.
They're both very friendly, very clean, have good breakfast buffets, and are usually within 10 or 15 bucks of each other.  You can't go wrong with either one.
