This hotel has a great breakfast. There is something hot every day and they vary it. The scrambled eggs are fantastic, moist and fluffy. Nicely done bacon provided on the side. On another day, the hot offering was biscuits and gravy. That wasn't bad either. Oh, almost forgot, this is a hotel! Nice, clean rooms, good plumbing. Nicely decorated lobby. It feels very homey. Among the better quality Holiday Inn Express properties. I'm going to go back just for the scrambled eggs!

Had issue with first room, staff was friendly and quickly moved us to resolve the issue. Decent breakfast, hotel wifi was flakey but otherwise very happy with clean rooms and good staff.

I don't particularly enjoy staying in hotels, and I'm finicky about everything, from cleanliness, to decor, to how the room smells. But this hotel exceeded all my expectations.

The staff were efficient and helpful; the public areas were clean and maintained.

I had assumed that the morning breakfast bar would consist of just the bare staples... coffee, juice, bagels, and maybe some dried-out cereal--as was the case at most hotels in which I've stayed. However, I was impressed with the quality and variety of of the breakfast items...fresh scrambled eggs or omelets (varies from day to day) , sausage, bacon, Southern biscuits and gravy, several kinds of fruit juices, dairy items like milk and yogurt, grits, fresh fruit... and more !

There's also McDonald's and a Hardees right next door, and an Arby's, Taco Bell, and--of course--a Waffle House, within easy walking distance.  There are no grocery stores within walking distance.

My room was roomy enough, it didn't feel cramped.  There were thoughtful touches like a mini-fridge (empty, NOT stocked with over-priced  snacks and drinks) , microwave oven, iron with ironing board, plenty of lamps that worked, and a sturdy work desk with chair.

The bathroom was somewhat small, but adequate, and was nicely appointed.  It was well-stocked with plenty of towels of different sizes, plus small vials of hand soap, shampoo, hair conditioner, and skin lotion. There was also a hair drier.

The only negative thing I can say about my stay is that I couldn't get wireless Internet access in my room--unless I literally open the door and stuck my laptop into the hallway. Even then, the signal was poor.

I happened to notice, however, that there was an RJ45 jack right next to the work desk, and, luckily, I brought along an Ethernet cable. I plugged my cable into the jack, configured the TCP/IP settings on my laptop for DHCP, and I was online! This hard-wired access was fast and reliable, and free!
