Very nice facility, and worth the $10 more/night than the La Quinta down the street.  Newly remodeled, and feels more expensive than it is.  My room had great modern furnishings, a fridge, and coffee maker.  The mattress was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on, and the bedding felt simply luxurious.  Breakfast contains your typical free hotel breakfast fare, but also includes make-your-own Belgian waffles, hard boiled and scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, and yogurt.  Like all La Quintas, this is a pet-friendly establishment, which is always a bonus in my book.

I would definitely give this hotel at least 3.5-4 stars. We got a room on the 5th floor (which was apparently just renovated, the rest are still in progress). The view was nice, the room was very clean. We had a nice down (or fake down) comforter...not like the usual musty, dusty bed covers cheap hotels have. The staff was cordial and we even got a free dinner the night we got in! They were having a manager's reception with free food that night. The room was fairly small, which was perfect for us, but might be too small if you have more than 2 people. It was also close to the main downtown area (5 min drive) as well as Rock City, Ruby Falls, etc. (10 min drive). Would definitely recommend!!

Older rooms, but a friendly staff.  We brought beer back to our room and a seemingly homeless man followed us into the hotel lobby asking to buy one off of us with some change.  It was a strange experience.

Registration clerk was friendly and helpful. Facility is older compared to several in the area and has not been remodeled (updated). The room rate was quite reasonable with regard to the area making the lack of modernizaton acceptable.

Filthy and horrible. We kept our shoes on because the carpet in our room was disgusting. The shower was moldy. Im not sure when this hotel was last vacuumed or painted. The location is not walking distance to downtown as advertised, and is in a light industrial area. This hotel does not deserve the la Quinta name. We can say that the young lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful suggesting restaurants. Skip this place until it is cleaned and updated.

Its a remodeled lodge but the rooms were nice and clean. They each have a small microwave and fridgerator in them if you need it. Its close to the highway and very reasonable pricewise for the night.

The staff was nice and the bed was comfy. The best part about all La Quinta Inns we found out, is they are all pet friendly so next time we will have to bring the pooch. However its good to mention in case you are allergic.

Would stay here again Chattanooga for sure.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, room was clean, and the place was very quiet. The easy access to everything in Chattanooga makes it a must-stay-again place.

I don't expect 5-star service or rooms from La Quinta but I always get what I expect and always have a good night's sleep in one.

We'll be returning here with the kids.

Smelly room reeked of stale cigarettes and mold.  Broken fixtures.  Filthy, stained  carpet.

I do not understand prior reviews saying they had a clean room.  Could it be they remodelled a portion of the hotel and ran out of money?   Our room (422) was disgusting.  I have posted picture on Trip Adviser to verify.

Hotel could not assign us another room.

Hotel charged us $109 for a room listed as $69.

Avoid unless you like feeling dirty.

Not worthy of La Quinta name. Should close this down and do total renovation or sell off. it is Dirty, smelly and worn out. From from front doors, to hallways to showers. The paint, carpet and sink updates mean nothing if you have to walk down a stinky gross hallway and shower in a moldy shower.  I would not recommend staying here.

Looked newly redecorated, new furniture, wall paper, carpet. Clean, friendly staff. fridge in room, full tub (but the tile and grout could use cleaning/replacement), small sink area but that was ok for one night. pillows were a bit lumpy, perhaps from washing - so at least we know they have been cleaned! Not the best neighborhood but for one night was just fine. Paid $80 for the night. Good price for the stay. Would stay here again to beat the downtown hotel prices.

We are on a cross country trip from Fla to California with three dogs and have had excellent luck with La Quinta as they are one of the only chains that consistently accepts pets.  However, this LQ has really let us down.  Shanty is the word that comes to mind.  Pros:  interstate access and accepts dogs.  Cons:  shabby, hard beds and pillows, the bathroom needs an intensive clean and the air conditioner was on high and 68 but felt like it was barely pushing air out.  Avoid unless you have pets in tow? I wish we would have pushed through to the next LQ.

This is the place to stay if you have a pet traveling with you. Clean beds, quite rooms, great breakfast, and right across from the highway. The staff goes above and beyond. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because I had trouble with the Wi-Fi.

A decent place for the price.

Surprised at all the negative reviews here.   Had a nice stay there.   Staff was extremely friendly.  Room was nice.  Had a good night sleep.  Some chipped paint on the bathtub, but everything was clean.  Yah, porch wasn't spotless, but it is an outdoor space.   Free wi-fi.   Some breakfast int he morning, but we didn't take advantage of it.

Hotel is near the highway and surrounded by one way streets, so it is a little creative to get in and out of.  But you're a 2 minute drive from the downtown area, so you can't get more convenient for half the price of the 'downtown' hotels.

Pretty good place for the price. Lobby was just freshly painted. Pet friendly, with no pet fee. We brought our dog, and you'd never know there was a pet in here before we arrived. Room is clean, beds are nice, staff is helpful, and it's minutes from all kinds of places. Pool also looks pretty nice. We would stay here again.

This place is dirty and unkept. There is mold in the shower, rusty pipes, and torn carpet. The smell in the room is musty and dirty-like urine.  I would never ever stay here again.

I ended up here Nov 8 cause I am a last minute planner and pretty much booked my room just before I left Knoxville for Chattanooga. I was going with the dogs and knew La Quinta was a dog friendly hotel chain (1 star).

On my way to Chattanooga, I called for their address cause my phone was acting up. I tried imputing the address to the GPS on the phone but that didn't work either so I called again to get directions. The phone probably rang  about 20 times without anybody picking it up. I tried calling again like 5 times with the same results. No one picked up the phone. I finally blocked my caller ID and miraculously someone answered the phone. Of course, at that time, I was extremely upset cause I was driving aimlessly around town while their front desk staff thought it was charming to ignore a phone call from a potential client.

When I finally got there, I discovered the hotel was in a shady part of town. Certainly don't recommend anyone ever staying there. Feeling like I was between a rock and a hard place, I went in to check in at the lobby. There were two women sitting at the desk doing absolutely nothing. I expressed my extreme disappointment about the whole phone issue and their excuse was that they had people checking in and out and couldn't answer the phone at that time. Really? You couldn't pick up the phone and ask the caller to hold on for a few minutes?

It took them a while to find my reservation cause the person who made it screwed it up but finally I was able to get a key to an old and unappealing room. The hallway was dark and had a strong musty smell. The bathroom was also in dire need of an upgrade. Thankfully I was only staying one night and I was able to utilize their free Wi-Fi (1 star).

I definitely do not recommend staying at this hotel. The front desk staff was very rude and the hotel itself needs to be bulldozed and built from scratch. This is apart from the fact that it is in a shady part of town. I should definitely have checked out Yelp reviews before I made reservation. If you are reading this and thinking about staying here, do yourself a huge favor and go somewhere else

I was scheduled to fly out of Chattanooga's little airport but was delayed by mechanical issues so the airlines put us up for the night.  Otherwise I probably would not have booked here based on location alone but all on all it has been a pleasant experience with the exception of having a room by the bounce house and pool where I've been hearing children scream all evening.

The staff is very friendly and helpful and handled the rush of a whole flights stranded passengers with calm grace.  They were helpful in providing information about finding food and services nearby and even provided me with a bottle opener.

The room is adequate and appears recently remodeled.  However they do not appear to be actively renovating at this time, yet there are no baseboards in the hallways and the door to the mechanical room is broken so that it will not close.  While I'm a proponent of parents properly supervising children, let's face it that doesn't always happen and that concerns me as a safety hazard.

While the guest room itself seems reasonable clean and the beds well made, the housekeeping staff obviously neglect the balconies which is a shame because they are a nice feature.  Mine is filthy and even has a water bottle of used cigarette butts on it.
