This is not a family hotel. People hanging out in the parking lot with their stereos blaring, smell of pot on one of the floors, and the security doors to the outside found propped open several times (supposed to be entrance with your room key only). The area by our room and our room did not smell of pot, but had to pass by rooms that did. Also, mirrors along one wall was rather disconcerting (I have vision issues and I kept "catching" movement out of the corner of my eye). Bedding appeared clean, but did not have "fresh laundered smell" of either laundry detergent or bleach. We survived, but we won't be back.

This Microtel is on the outskirts of Chattanooga. A quick drive to all the area attractions, but very close the big shopping center and to lots of good places to eat. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Truly a pet friendly hotel. My dog is 53 lbs and they had no issue at all. Very reasonable. With pet fees and taxes and such my room came out to approximately $70 per night. The room was clean, the linens were clean. The hotel is not brand new, but was in good repair. The elevator worked great. We enjoyed our mini vacation here. I would definitely stay here again. They offer free continental breakfast and wi fi through out the hotel. They have one desktop computer in the lobby for any guests to use. No pool.

I made a reservation over the phone then called the hotel directly to verify. Kevin answered the phone and was seemingly annoyed by my asking if i was able to get a pet free room.
Then i said "alright man i appreciate your help thank you."
He just hung up.
I realized if youre that rude to me as a paying customer over the phone I would hate to see it in reali life.
Called and cancelled right away.

We encountered the first problem when we walked in the front door. No air conditioning in any of the common areas. They had all the fire doors propped open (a serious safety violation) but it was still like a sauna. The carpets were FILTHY. Our room was no better. Holes in the bathroom door and walls seem to be covered with duct tape and then painted. The bathroom fan was literally hanging by one screw. Someone had removed the aerator from the bathroom faucet so when you turn the water on you get soaked. The toilet seat was held on with one screw so it slid all over when you sat down. No hair dryer, no coffee maker. The beds were clean and comfortable but it was hard to sleep with the kids running up and down the halls. We tried to get in and out of the room and out of the hallway as fast as possible. Between the smells of people cooking in their rooms and smoking marijuana it was almost unbearable. We've stayed in a few other Microtels and they were nothing like this one. We will never be back.

Holy cow! I can't believe that people are giving this hotel 5 stars. This was the most icky-hotel I've ever stayed in. The ceiling of our room had been patched so many times from leaks I was afraid to close my eyes. There was a florescent light over our bed and when I lay down, I could see the dead bugs in the lights. The floor was stained (probably from the water stains from the ceiling). I actually didn't take a shower the next morning because I wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible. The price was definately cheap, but had I known the accomodations, I think I would have splurged for one of the many other hotels in the area. Don't stay here!

In all fairness to the hotel, there isn't a practical way to inform potential guests that a horde of 10-12 year old girls will be packing the hotel pursuant to some kind of dance/cheerleading competition, and that if you have even the tiniest desire to preserve your sanity, you may not want to stay during that particular weekend. Aside from that joy, the small-roomed hotel was nice to stay in -- the staff was remarkably friendly, the rooms were clean, and the price was right. I've paid a lot more money to be treated like crap at supposedly "nicer" hotels.
For those who don't have to worry about money, you should probably go ahead and splurge on something nicer. But I am not one of those people.

Bear in mind this hotel only cost us $56.00 for a night.
For the price, it's actually quite alright, but there are some things that need to be fixed for sure.
1. The beds are very uncomfortable. It's really hard and the pillows are extremely flat. So it's almost like sleeping directly on the mattress.
2. The shower ran out of hot water within 5 minutes, then the hot water came back, then it went super cold. I had to shut the shower off. I took another shower at around 1:00am, it was better then but the temperature still oscillated.
3. The room was super small. Now this isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it was not a proper representation of the pictures my wife found online.
4. The mirror in the bathroom was smoke grey. Not dirty, but it was made that way. It made it very hard to see, even with all the lights on.
Again, for the price, the place is alright, but it does deserve the 2 stars that I gave it.

Stayed here on a whim while driving to Florida from Chicago. Were going to stay in Kentucky, decided to drive further and found this place. We have two small dogs so our options were limited. Found the Microtel while doing a search through the phone, price looked right and we made the call.
It's called "Micro" for a reason....asked the front desk for a rollaway and was told "the room isn't big enough to have one". And she was right....
Pros - staff was friendly. Breakfast and breakfast area looked decent. Thought the beds were comfortable. It was inexpensive and the extra fee for our dogs was fractional.
Cons - rooms were insanely small. We had our kids with us and thank God we got joining rooms. They had a sitting area/bench under the windows and the padding was like a rock. They clearly went bottom of the barrel on the bathroom counters, faucets, etc. One of the rooms had a desk, but no chair. Small things like the hole for the fire detector was slightly larger than the actual detector so you could see the crack in the celing all the way around. One of the remotes in one of the rooms wasn't working. The room length mirrors were just strange. I'm sure they were in there to give the appearance of a larger room, but it was just odd.
Given we rolled in around 10 PM and were out by 8 AM Microtel served it's purpose, which was to get a night of sleep without spending a lot of money. However, recalled a lesson I sometimes forget, which is you get what you paid for. The Microtel experience will be within our memory of this trip we took, however I don't foresee us staying at one of these again.

Terrible. Ther are holes in the ceiling light fixtures. Holes in the wall near the tv outlet. One of the outlets buzz when you turn on the light. The smell of SMOKE is everywhere in the hotel despite it being a no smoking one. Rooms are small, weird mirrors in room that stretch it's length. Shady folk around, the beds were dirty and looked as if there were no comforters on them. The window seat is stiff as a board, the pillows are flat......BLAH. Definitely worried about bugs now...@.@
It is very very disgusting. NEVER again. The marriot next door is a far better choice from appearance.

This hotel was perfect, at least for me! Is the room small? Yes! The sign does not say luxury suite resort hotel, it says micro hotel. Micro means small. The rooms are small, about the size of a bedroom. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and everything works AND super plus, the beds are comfortable! So much so I decided to stay an extra night since I was in no rush to go anywhere (vacation means not having to say I have a schedule). The rates are reasonable, the facilities are all in working order and clean.
If you want a pool, and let's face it how many times have most people actually used the pool for an over night stay, and a bar, and a restaurant and a spa, or any of the other stuff you pay for but don't use get over yourself and go to a resort and stop complaining! You want a comfortable bed to sleep in at a great rate stay here.
