We chose our motel solely based on price. With a coupon (free from the TN Welcome Center) on our way from Michigan to Florida, this is a good just-past-halfway stopping point. There are a lot of restaurants nearby and the room was decently clean. I immediately stripped off the comforter, because it had "mysterious chalky stains" on it and I wasn't betting it was milk. (Sorry for the visual.)

For $35 after coupon, you can't complain too much. It was a decent motel with ZERO frills. The staff was apathetic. The ice machine was out of order. The plus: Fazoli's Italian fast food... the bread sticks! (My husband and I are Fazoli's fans.)  Would I be in a rush to stay again? No! Do I regret it? Meh. Not really.

(Helpful hint: If you get the "All Inclusive King, internet is free for the day. If not, it's T-mobile Hot Spot pass for $7.99. This review is courtesy that Hot Spot pass!)

Let's get this out of the way, it's not the hilton, so any reasonable person will know that you're not going to get 5-star treatment and your own personal conceirge.

With that out of the way I am happy with this hotel, my room was clean and everything worked, even the WiFi.  I can't complain when I paid about $38ish for one night.  I recommend this if you're on a tight budget!

hands down the nastiest hotel/motel i have ever had the misfortune of staying in (in the US). it was cheap. i will give them that.

it also came with a bonus bobby pin stuck to the upholstered chair, random stains on the walls, carpeted trim peeling away from the wall, other people's hairs everywhere, ripped bedcover, and a toilet that barely flushed. oh, and an AC unit that blew ashtray smell into the room. so bad i immediately checked the sheets for bedbugs, which i haven't felt compelled to do since I left Guatemala. total grossness.

if it weren't so late at night when we stopped to take this break from our road trip, i would have asked for a refund & left.

We stayed here because they were cheap and pet friendly. We looked online first and rates were lower than when we called. I asked about the difference and the staff said we would be on the remodeled side of the building with hard wood floors. We thought that would be good for our cat and agreed to pay 59 instead of 49.

Upon arrival we discovered no hard wood floors. We also had no controller for the TV. We complained and were told there we no hardwood floors. They also promised to bring a controller. But after 2 hours we fell asleep without one. The staff upon arrival was friendly, but incompetent (and with more than 3 years working midnights at hotels, I would have reprimanded, if not fired my employee for failing to complete a simple task like that, they probably also do a poor job record keeping, so maybe it is the managements fault and they need better procedures).

I also feel like I was mislead by the employee making reservations. She either ripped me off and there are no hardwood floors or she forgot to note in the reservation. I would have had the same room and a lower rate had I booked online instead of calling the front desk employees. Once I called them out on that (which is normal practice in hotel industry), she lied to me more. Let's just say I got our rate reduced some and we still cancelled our later reservations with the same hotel for our trip back.

Wi-Fi was free, but slower than my 3G hotspot. Maybe the router near our room was bad, but nevertheless the staff was not helpful whatsoever.

One last note: the housekeeper was friendly, but rushed into our room when we left with our 1st load of luggage. The house keeper left the door wide open and our cat almost escaped had my wise and diligent fiancée had not noticed and informed me so I could dart up there and stop the escape!!!

Not recommended. Chose this location at midnight to get some rest heading from Florida to Michigan. Yes price was good and no you should not expect much except a clean room. That being said, I wanted to sleep between the sheets with my clothes on. The blanket and bedspread were questionable for sure. The walls were gross. The fridge and micro old and nasty in case you wanted to even think of using them. Food left in micro by former guests as well as 2 unwrapped condoms and one empty wrapper on nightstand. Thank goodness the condoms themselves not in site. We showered (great water pressure) and left by 8 am. We didn't and wouldn't try the free breakfast. Seemed like a seedy area too. Stay at your own risk!

It isn't the Hilton, for certain.  It's consistent with Red Roof Inn elsewhere, at least, from my experience.

I made a paid reservation ahead of time.  Normally, I stop at the Super 8 at Ooltewah but I'm tired of Super 8 and their various issues.  This is a bit closer to Georgia, but 6 miles won't make much of a difference.  I found the motel on the south side of the road, to the right of the exit ramp.

As I entered, the desk clerk arose from her chair and greeted me pleasantly.  I told her that I had a reservation and she brought it up and said that they'd upgraded me to the renovated side of the motel--for no extra charge.  Considering the bad reviews, I was pleased to hear that.

It's similar to the location in Wilmington/Newark/Christiana, Delaware.  It's still got a heavy dose of polyester, but wrinkles be damned.  They could really use some place to hang hand towels.  Putting water stains on the faux (real?) granite isn't great.  This one didn't have a desk, I'm guessing, because it includes a microwave oven and fridge below the television.

That, an ironing board and iron, and a King-sized bed isn't bad.  The tiny table is not great but better than nothing.

It's better than the Hilton--no tipping required, unless you want to see the desk clerk on the tilt.

The morning crew were amazingly-friendly also.  I really wasn't expecting such treatment, given the previous reviews.  The manager explained that the other side of the building--I believe I was in 109--was not being renovated quite as quickly.

DO NOT STAY here!!!  Had a "non-smoking" room that smelled like a whole carton of cigarettes had been smoked in it!  There were cigarette holes in the sheets and comforter.  I'm pretty sure there were bed bugs as well.

We travel with our dogs so we're frequent Red Roof Inn patrons and find them to be a good value. However, this location is below sub-par. Our "refurbished" king room (which we paid extra for) was dirty and definitely not recently refurbished. The only place to put our suitcase was on the floor.  Did I mention the crack in the ceiling and the scary neighbors?

Absolutely do not stay here. We forgot to make a note of it and stayed again. Yikes, mistake!

Can you give less than 1 star? First room had bugs crawling across the sink. Second room had a wonky toilet, no exhaust fan and stained bedding and linens. In the time it took us to switch rooms and make a run to Fazzolli's, we saw local law enforcement stop in the office 4 times. Traveling with dogs and there was no where to exercise them. Will not be returning.

Cigarette holes in the sheets. The room completely stank of smoke to the point where we left the bathroom fan on for four days. Room was cold and no way to turn up heat when it was 35 outside. My key had to be replaced three times in four days because it stopped working. Maids don't know the meaning of a do not disturb sign.

Looks like a nice place to conduct a crack deal though, judging by our neighbors.

I booked a first story room because my dog couldn't walk up the stairs. When we get there they tell me they sold my room ! So I had to have a second story room.  Do you have any idea how hard it is to carry a 65 pound dog up stairs? Don't forget when she had to go to the restroom!

I began washing my hands and the pipes on the sink broke causing  the place to flood. I called for assistance but no one ever came. So I didn't have a sink to use. I had to brush my teeth in the tub.

I also booked a smoking room for my family and there were no ashtrays.  I went downstairs and asked for one and I received a plastic cup with water. Really?

The bedsheets were tore up with tons of burn holes in them.

I'm only giving two stars because the bathroom was clean and so were the beds.
