Pet friendly. Great breakfast and staff. Booked randomly through Priceline and definitely on my list of places to book directly for return.

Reasonable place to stay.  Great location just down the street from Urban Stack.  No frills hotel with a friendly desk staff the night we stayed here.  Popular with families and that creates an interesting dynamic in the morning.  The lobby is small and spills into the breakfast area---resulting in noisy kids running amok throughout the place in the morning (at least during the summertime).

First time staying at a Staybridge Suites.  We have one booked in Denver, CO so thought we'd try it out here in Chattanooga first.  We could've stayed at the Marriott that is closer to all that is happening downtown, but Staybridge has actual separated bedrooms, which we like (since we have a baby).
I have to tell you.  I was very pleasantly surprised at how clean this hotel is - from the lobby to the rooms to the kitchen to the utensils and refrigerator.  That's impressive to me.  And everyone working here that we've encountered so far has been friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.  We would definitely stay here again.  Hope Denver will reveal the same.

Great for families- free hot breakfast, free hot food, beer & wine Tues-Thurs nights, nice pool & hot tub; only 1 1/2 blocks to free, frequent shuttle bus downtown; nice rooms, clean & nicely decorated. Love the fireplace and free coffee & cookies in the lobby. Friendly, helpful staff. Well priced. Pet friendly too!

A very A-OK stay.

Odd location, but close to the Choo-choo if your interested. Not a good location for walking around unless you are young and up for a brisk walk to the more happening area... and maybe take a cab home at night.

I should mention that while they offer free internet, it is useless. It was incredibly slow, which really hurt me as I was trying to book more stops on my trip. Now this would not normally be a big deal except that the free internet was a big selling point because of the nature of our vacation. What should have taken a half hour at most (booking a hotel for next night) could not even be completed. And yes, I called the IT person, who needed to do something extra special since I had a Mac (no mention of this issue anywhere or from anyone up until this point).

What irked me even more was the combination of a letter posted in the elevator, and the useless night front desk attendant.

I'll post the letter here in the pictures; its the one from Skip Miller and Lindsey Sempsrott.

In the midst of my frustration with the internet, I thought I might go down as ask the front desk guy about it, and maybe even better, just let him help me find a room. After all, Staybridge is a chain, and they are part of the Priority Club, so there must be something he could no.

The guy had no clue. When I asked if there was anything he knew or could do about the internet, he said he had no idea and no. I told him that it would not even load the Staybridge page without stalling and he said there was nothing he could do. When I said that it was important that I had internet he said there was nothing he could do. Ok, so maybe he could help me get a room the next night??... Nope. He said he could get me the 800 number, but that I could also just look it up.

Really??? You mean look it up with my high speed internet access??? Thanks creepy night guy with long-ish hair.

So, Skip and Lindsey, I did enjoy the hotel, and would likely stay again, but part of the value for me was the internet, that is just not working well right now. Oh, and the night guy is just a little sketchy.

To everyone else, stay here if the location is ok for you, but do not rely on the "free internet"... and avoid the night front desk guy.

I booked this hotel online because of the reviews I read for pet friendly hotels. Chattanooga seems to be a pet friendly city especially downtown. Maybe one day they'll let dogs ride on the FREE electric shuttle. We rode it a lot from our hotel which saved us gas and having to pay $3-5 for parking downtown.
Anyway, the Staybridge was an excellent place to relax between our drive from Lexington KY to Auburn AL. We were exhausted from packing all week then driving 4 hours we were ready for a break. It was such a refreshing feeling to see that the raves I read online were true. It's clean, modern, hip with a substantial free breakfast from 7:30-9:30 and free dinner type social from 5:30-7:30. This really saved us money so we could go out for ice dream later. Also there's a dog park you can walk to from the hotel.
The registration clerk when we checked in was a bit rude because I caught him on his cell phone which seemed to mess up his mood. Overall The staff were very nice and helpful. We ended up having to use their safety deposit boxes, something I've never had to do but it was a big help to keep our minds at ease while we toured the city. This trip was definitely 5 stars from the hotel to the city itself. We want to go back when we 're not rushed so we can check out Lookout MountIn, Rock City, Angel falls etc.

I love my suite.  For $10 more, the deluxe suite is well worth it if you will be staying for more than one night.  Internet is free, but slow.  Parking and breakfast are also free.

The suite is spacious and well equipped.  There is plenty of closet and storage space.  The kitchen has a stove (no oven) and a full size refrigerator.  The room is very clean.  There are two nice televisions.

Service is very attentive and friendly.

I deduct a star for the following reasons.  Even though the hotel is beside the Convention Center, it is at least 10 blocks to the best sections of downtown.  As a single woman, I would not walk to those areas alone at night.  Also, even though most people seem to enjoy the free breakfast,  did not.  It consists of mostly pastry, waffles and cereal.  The lobby is small, but the hotel allows people to have private parties in the lobby.  When you have to exit the building, it feels as though you are intruding on a private event.  The only exit to the parking lot is through the lobby.

It was nice, until the roach paid us a visit...

Was here for a Volkswagen show. My dad and I liked the place, until the morning we left. I slept on the foldout couch, which was comfortable enough. I have no idea what the bed was like, but the room looked nice. The HBO was free, so we watched a movie. I was thinking that I would like to stay there again. I guess I jinxed it. It would have been four stars if not for a six-legged, exoskeleton-clad, guest.

I have stayed at the Staybridge Suites many  many times when in town for work and I don't think I'd stay anywhere else in Chattanooga.  The location is great, walkable to Main St./South side restaurants and walkable to anything downtown.  The staff is almost always very friendly and willing to help out with anything you need.  The rooms are nice and of course are suites so you can cook and they provide a good selection of pots and pans but my only complaint is that the kitchen area isn't separate from the room itself so I'm always hesitant to cook anything that might make all of my clothes smell like food.  When its warmer out the outdoor grills get a lot of use and Tuesday-Thursdays they hold a social with food and beverages (of the adult and not adult variety) so sometimes this includes an outdoor bbq.  The breakfasts are pretty comprehensive and they have to-go bags and lots of easy things to grab if you are rushing out in a hurry in the mornings.  The pool and hot tub area is all indoors which i guess is good for the cold months but kind of a bummer when its nice and sunny out.  The workout area is small but good enough for a hotel gym and the laundry area is great because its all free with high efficiency machines unlike most hotels.  Overall great place to stay, not overly fancy but I'd recommend it to anyone I know visiting the area.

I had a good stay at the Downtown Staybridge.  My check went smoothly and everything was explained well.  The room was clean and everything was there and in order which is what I expected from other Staybridge stays at other locations.  I was planning on using the hot tub but one of the other guests said it was not heating properly so that was a bummer although I didn't personally confirm.  The breakfast is pretty comprehensive considering it's included in the cost.  Eggs, sausage or bacon, waffles, cereal, bagels and the list goes on and on.

There were a couple of things I noticed around security and maybe this is because security really isn't an issue here but they were noted.  When I checked in I only needed one key.  Well sure enough I had locked the key in the room while making trips in to unload my bags.  I asked the attendant for an additional key and was expected for them to ask for some sort of ID but they just asked me what room number.  Now, everything was on the up and up and I had just checked in 5 minutes earlier but theoretically someone might be able to get a key to another room.

The second thing I noticed was around the advertised gated, patrolled, well lit parking.  I will say that the parking lot was well lit, does have a gate around it and does contain a security vehicle inside.  However access to the parking lot is gained by just driving up to the gate.  There is no code or other hurdle required to get in.  I did see a security officer in the lobby when I returned from a late dinner but they were eating dinner and fully engrossed in watching boxing on the TV.  These are perhaps some opportunities for improvements.

But overall the Staybridge brings a lot of value at a reasonable price with good access to downtown.

This place deserves 5 stars alone for their suites looking like an IKEA showroom, but there are some other things that I loved about my visit. For one, free wi-fi. While my visit was only for one night and I didn't need to utilize their kitchen, it was convenient to have silverware right there in our room. Plus, the staff was super friendly when talking to them on the phone and checking in!

Best part: their breakfast buffet. They had everything you could want for all types of breakfast people. It was glorious, to say the least.

Great downtown hotel.

Very clean large rooms in a great part of the city.  Walking distance to everything downtown Chattanooga has to offer.  Lovely lobby with fenced in parking lot.

Would stay again if I'm ever in Chattanooga
