We booked this through Hotels.com . The site stated that we could bring our pets into the room. After a long day of driving, we were told that we would have to pay extra for the dog, something like $75 or so. I informed the clerk that nothing was said to this effect on the site. He was very courteous, but said he could not help. He gave me the Manager's name "Michelle" and then called the manager for me. I tried to see if she could help me out, but she only complained to me that, "today was my day off". We'll that didn't help. I told her that our dog was well behaved, did not ever bark, and we had our dog crate, so no issues with damages. She basically told us to get lost, and since we booked through Hotels.com and not her, we would have to work to get our money back.. Wow. We ended up staying next door in the Laquinta inn, much cheaper, and the kids & dog had a great time. No extra charges for a pet, and the mgmt. was pleased to have us stay there. I hope that Staybridge Suites can Coach their mgmt. staff into a customer service friendly team as friendly as LaQuinta.

I like Staybridge Suites after spending two nights in one in Atlanta, and while this one was nearly identical, it wasn't quite as appealing. For one, the price was higher ($30 more per night) than in Atlanta, yet we were given a handicap room which meant less counter space.
The pluses -
It's conveniently located by the expressway.
There's lots of dining in the area.
The Tennessee Aquarium is a short 15-20 minute drive away.
Free wireless internet.
Great breakfast bar which is complimentary.

My stay here was over very nice and relaxing. The people at the front desk were very nice and helped answer any questions we had about the area as well as accommodate anything we needed during our stay.
The pool/hot tub is in doors which is great for the winter, not as pleasant during the summer. Although do to this fact there were not many people at the pool. It seems like it was meant more for a place to go during the winter since the pool is heated and shallow, not much swimming room.
There are a number of good restaurants within walking distance although most are chains, not many locally owned. There is also a mall not far away, my wife and I walked there. Many good restaurants around there.
One thing that was a little disappointing was that there was not a ice machine. not the end of the world since we got some ice out of the freezer, but we enjoy being able to get a nice amount of ice in our cooler for the drive home.

One gets the feeling that the Hamilton Place hotels are so close together that they're having late night sexy times and making baby hotels sprout up in the morning. The girlfriend and I found ourselves at one such big sexy mama of a hotel on the cusp of the July 4th holiday.
From the friendly front desk to the efficiency-apartment-sized room, everything was wonderful, confortable, and possessing a utility surpassing most hotels at this price point. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and tasty and the weeknight social was a nice touch despite our not taking advantage of the service. The business office's hardware was up-to-date and the gym was spacious with clean equipment.
The room itself was a complete delight after being on the road or after getting out of the oppressive early summer heat. Everything was clean, neat, and stocked. The mattress was one of the best I've experienced in a hotel room. It really was the anchor in our explorations of Chattanooga. We've never stayed at a Staybridge Suites before, but this sexy mama might manage to lure us lack to the franchise in the future.
