Month we stayed here-June 2009. We had to be in town for a sad reason and were looking for something reasonable yet comfortable. Baymont was that. There were 3 of us (all adults) and we had 2 queen beds. The beds were comfortable but there weren't enough pillows. My brother went to get more and they gave us 4 more without any hassle. We also asked for more towels before discovering more in a cabinet (and no we didn't take any home). The night we arrived it was storming. We were thrilled that the window opened to the outside and we were able to record the storm without a screen in our way. There is a modified continental breakfast from 6a-9a and it was good. You had to make your own waffles and it was a little confusing but the waffles were in the shape of Texas, lol. They had coffee, decaf and regular, several types of cereal, apple and orange juice, muffins, and sweet breakfast rolls. The rooms were clean. The carpet had a burn from an iron (in the shape of the iron) but it didn't bother us. The phone message light was always blinking and yet there were no messages. The room number on the phone was also wrong, but it's not like we used the phone at  all. The toilet is too close to the wall but what are you going to do? The water pressure was strong and the water temp stayed nice and hot. This hotel is very near Six Flags and we worried the halls would be overtaken by children, but this was not the case at all. There was one little incident where the person at the front desk couldn't explain something well ( I think because he couldn't speak English very well). The young lady at the desk was able to help explain the answer and all was well. This hotel was cheaper than the La Quinta next door and was a value for the money. It is very near the freeway, Six Flags, Ranger Stadium, and the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium.

Dirty feeling, wife didnt even want to take her shoes off
Booked a two room suite for 7 people (2 adults 5 children), when we arrived we were given our keys and found a one room (about the size of an average hotel room) with one king bed that had obviously been smoked in (horrible smell and smoke detector ripped off wall).  Best they could offer was a near by second room across the hall for the kids, but we could move to a different pair of adjoining rooms the second night.
We werent happy and found other accommodation.
They were kind enough to not charge us anything........ so I guess they have that going for them.

So I was in town for the state debate tournament and this was where they were housing judges. Since they paid for the room I don't know what the price was but I can tell you that it probably was not worth it!
Every single floor smelled like smoke, if you have breathing problems this is not the place for you. Inside of my room smelled much nicer although one of the girls I was rooming with told me she had bought some Lysol and cleaned the whole place the night before when she arrived because the room was filthy. Looked just fine but then again I'm not sure what state it was in before the improvised cleaning.
The lone sprinkler in the room had some suspicious yellow goop on it that made me seriously question it's effectiveness in event of a fire.
Breakfast was dismal, or maybe I'm just spoiled, I thought at least some eggs would be nice. Since I don't know how much they charged many this was completely justified. You got muffins, bagels, toast, cereal, or you could make your own instant oatmeal from the small water cooler. I did like the waffle maker that spits out Texas shaped waffles.
Only reason for the 2nd star was because the beds were comfortable.

I recently spoke with the customer care center for Baymont Inn and was very rudely told that while they did not know why the hotel would charge extra for the nonsmoking room, that was up to them. When I pointed out that it's really inappropriate to be charging additional for a room to accommodate a person with a medical problem and wasn't this kind of against ADA, she said "actually, no". If Baymont Inn really feels there's nothing wrong with charging guests extra in order to meet their medical needs, then that kind of cancels out that one extra star for not being completely filthy. I will never stay at another Baymont Inn. I strongly suggest that no one stay here because not only does the management not care about the health and wellbeing of their customers, the customer service office doesn't either. I was charged an extra $20 just to be able to breathe properly. Most expensive air ever. While $20 is not a lot, it's really the principle.

I don't know why some of other reviews are not all that.  The beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean, lots of water pressure in the shower and sink. Great and helpful front desk staff, and a pretty darn good continental breakfast.  It even had make-it-yourself-waffles.  It had a nice sized fridge and a small microwave in the room.
If I HAD to give any type of negative, there was some clown smoking in the hall in the no smoking area.  I can't fault the hotel staff for a guest being discourteous.
I will definitely stay there again if I am in the area.

For the price not a bad place to stay if you are visiting the Arlington attractions: Cowboys Stadium, Rangers Ballpark, and/or Six Flags.  There's a shuttle that runs from the hotel, so you don't have to wrestle with parking.  My room was clean, my bed was comfortable, and the front desk staff was friendly and accommodating.  Bonus star for the free wi-fi, since most budget hotels typically charge for it.

Pete at the front desk was very nice. However the room was very dirty in the corners and hard to reach areas with a vacuum. The room also had graffiti in a couple places. Breakfast was decent. Wouldn't mind the room except we had our 11 month old son and didn't even want him crawling on the floor.

The hotel was ok, it served its purpose however their actual website states they have a shuttle that takes you to and from the hotel to the airport which is $20, and the website does not disclose that. The website also states they have a city trolley that takes you all over town, the trolley website does not state the times they run and indicates you need to ask the hotel for the times. I did ask and all i was told was that "yes it comes at 5:30" and to my surprise when I got to the trolley stop (assuming they ran frequently) there were on two stops that night and that's it and I had missed it. The front desk guy actually laughed when I asked if they had a trolley but was not even kind of enough to disclose the schedule.  Apparently this hotel does not like opposing visiting teams.

The other trolley lines were bogus too, never saw them go by and we were never able to find their pick up locations so needless to say pack walking shoes if you do not have a rental car.

The room was not very clean, the hotel is pet friendly and there was dog food all over the floor in our room, some weird clear sticky liquid was on the floor near the bed and the light above the sink did not work.

There is not much within walking distance as far as food/drinks go. Thank you to Humperdinks sports bar that was nearby for their hospitality as our hotel was not what we thought, but you got what you paid for.

2 star rating is generous. 1 star for shelter so me & my family wouldn't be sleeping outside on Six Flags drive. 1 star for shuttle trolley that took us to 6 flags. Everything else is horrific. Hotel room smells like smoke. Not sure if its cigarettes or fire smoke. Breakfast sucks. The pool is dirty, tastes like salt water. I'm singing, I'll never ever ever ever never ever stay here again.

Cheap stay, ~$50/night- we stayed here while traveling cross country and stopped to see the Dallas stadium. Great location- near the stadiums and 6 flags. The room was absolutely disgusting, the carpet was stained, the bathroom was gross as were the towels. There was a gang sign in permanent market on our bathroom door and made me feel very uncomfortable, I didn't feel safe. If it wasn't for having my boyfriend with me I would not have stayed here alone. The continental breakfast was what you would expect. Would not stay again.

Our first room we were given smelled unmistakably like smoke, one of the beds was missing a bed skirt and the chair had holes in it.
We asked the front desk for another room, he said he had to check on it so he left up the elevator for a while and then came back and have us keys for 314. When we got to 314 I opened the door to find it already occupied! We don't know what the hell he was checking on but it sure wasn't the room. Also, this entire FLOOR smelled like smoke.
Finally, we got a third room, this one smelled like sweat and cat piss but not smoke. The chairs and sofa had holes and water (or something else) stains on them. Gross. Do not stay here unless you have no other option!

***Please look at my review profile to see that I hardly ever give low rating scores!  It's not my style to bash businesses so when I do, take note!*****

We stay in about 10-15 hotels a year.  I never thought twice about where I booked until having to stay in hotels in West Texas (oilfield....) and then I developed some standards.

I wouldn't have thought one well located in Arlington would compare to some of the oilfield beauties but let me just be clear- this hotel is YUCK.

Our toilet clogged the 1st time we flushed it and overflowed all over the bathroom.  It was 10:15PM on a Sat night.  We called the front counter and were told that maintenance leaves at 10PM.  I asked about another room and he offered a smoking room, which isn't an option for my family with a 5 year old and 9 year old.  Finally, our solution to this problem, was for him to give us access to their cleaning room so I could get what I needed to clean it myself.  The cleaning room itself was dirty and messy- that's another story in itself.

Once I got the floor clean and sanitary I took a shower.  There was what appeared to be a pubic hair stuck on the shower wall.  The shower head leaked bad spraying onto the drywall and running everywhere.  Which lead my yes to see all the mold.

The tub backed up.  (It also did when my son showered the next morning.)  When I went to grab a towel, the first one I grabbed had what appeared to be blood stains running down it (dark brownish).  The second towel left pubic hair on my body.   YUCK!

There was also writing on the bathroom walls and door.  It looked like a child had fun with a sharpie?

My daughter started wheezing that night and my son woke up with a stuffy nose (which he rarely has as stuffy nose, almost never!).

I list all these things not to be a drama queen, but to make clear I am not basing my review based on one little issue or even two.  This place is run down and not well managed or taken care of.  I felt dirty and am almost embarrassed to admit to how yuck these conditions where that we slept in.

I've been staying here off and on for almost 2 years. The day manager is a really nice guy and very helpful. The night staff is sometimes good, sometimes bad. It's always been clean and pleasant when I've stayed, and the price is great.

the Wi-Fi has been a little slow, but I have my hot spot, so it's all good.
