If you already packed your bags to stay at CandleWood Suits, unpack your Fancy Nancy clothing. This place has nothing that would intise you to put on your dancing shoes. This is purely functional suite that includes a kitchen, free internet access, DVD/VHS, free door-to-door shuttle to the BallPark. bathroom filled with drawers, reading chair and a convienence store down stairs. The kitchen is equiped with some nice looking pans/pots and a tea kettle along with a coffee pot, of course. Dishes along with left over containers, silverware and plates/cups/glasses and an ice machine.  If your like us, we have the munches all night till all hours of the night, so it is very easy to create a little bit of yum, yum as late as you can crave it. BTW- the walls are beige and the carpet is brown- the looks of this place will make you frown! Take a deep breath and think about home- Because here you feel like you own. Each night was 56.00 friday-sunday.

I've been here for a month while looking for a permanent home in the area. I've thoroughly enjoyed every minute and have nothing bad to say about the place or its staff. Great location; clean facilities and room. The bed is very comfortable and Sean W (last reviewer, no relation) will be happy to learn those old TVs were upgraded to large flat-screens during my stay, one in the living room and another in the bedroom. WiFi is strong, fast and free. Laundry room has plenty of machines and they, too, are free. Terrific location, very friendly people anxious to keep you happy. And they will.

I stayed in here for work between August and November and it was a good experience.  The staff was friendly especially Pat.  My only complaint would be the quality of the TVs.  I had the same room the whole time and it had and old CRT type TV.  They were starting massive upgrades when i was leaving, so maybe this will be part of it.

The wi-fi was free but slow.  no biggie.  they do offer free shuttle service to the games.

If you are looking for value over quality, this may be the place for you. I stayed here only because I had points to redeem and got the stay for pretty much free of charge. I'm giving it two stars because of the semi decent remodeled rooms and really nice bathrooms ( I'm very picky when it comes to cleanliness). I know the rates are generally low here and for the area that its in, it's worth the dollars. I did not enjoy the way I was checked in or welcomed, the place was closed with the gate down when I arrived at 11 pm. This is a nice area, not sure why lockdown is necessary. The person at the counter was not friendly and didnt seem to like his job. But he let me in after I had to call inside for him to unlock the doors. My two other main concerns were A) the overly loud air conditioner ... When it's on, you can not sleep as its extremely disruptive. If you want to watch TV, it needs to be on max volume for you to hear anything. I turned it off and had my window open for all 4 days instead and was freezing cold. B) there is a distinct smell to the entire building that is not pleasant at all. I noticed it when first entering the building, in the hallways, elevator, and the room itself. I did smell smoke, so I'm assuming it either used to be a smoking building or it still is. I addressed this with the staff the next morning and they said its the airfreshners they had set up everywhere in the hotel that pump out the fragrance throughout the day. This made sense when the manager pointed out the giant sprayers that were attached to the walls. The staff is probably so immuned to it, they had no idea how bad it actually was. I requested that they get me non scented Fabreeze so I can get the smell out in my room, because I couldn't sleep well and felt nauseous (it was in the sheets and towels etc). The staff seemed to hear out the problem with concern, so hopefully they can get this under control in the near future. I cannot say that I would stay here again, I would rather pay the higher pricing to stay somewhere I am comfortable.

Room Tip: They all smell, good luck

Booked this quickly, and hoped for the best. I didn't know it was a branch of the Holiday inn, and they took my priority club card. The hotel was absolutely great! I love hotels with hard wood floors, they just seem cleaner. Had a small kitchen and everything. Good price also. Pet friendly up to 60 lbs, my check in took about 15 minutes because the lady at the front desk and I enjoyed talking about rescuing pets from shelters. I will definitely stay here again!

We met up with family for several members to attend a Rangers ball game. The rooms have a full kitchen, a nice work station and a comfortable bed. I didn't go to the game and since the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, I used the Order Inn food service. It was absolutely wonderful. Your food is delivered from a local restaurant and it is so much better (and hotter) than what you get with room service! I have paid a lot more for hotels that were not this nice. Plus, a trolley picks you up at the door and takes you to the game. If you are going to a ball game or to Six Flags I would suggest this hotel!

Conflicted on this review. Could be 1 star or 4 star. Here's why:

CONS:
Some hallways smell of smoke and are musty.

Strong funky chemical smell in first room. I couldn't stay.

They switched my rooms and second room smelled better but had a dead cockroach in the middle of the floor.

PROS:
Great location for six flags or Rangers game, plus complimentary shuttle.

Pretty nice area with shopping and restaurants nearby.

Attendant was polite and helpful.

Rooms looked updated and modern

The cockroach was dead.

Stayed here for 5 days on business. the location is excellent for my needs. I am guessing this would also be excellent for any of the fun stuff in Arlington, Six Flags, Cowboys, Rangers...all in close proximity.
PROS: Price was excellent. All suites are roomy and arranged well for the business traveler. They have an updated kitchen with most utensils. There is a microwave, cooktop, full sized refrigerator, dishwasher.
The Bed and bedding were very comfortable and towels were nice and thick. Generally quiet with inside access. There is a little "honor system" pantry for your needs. free coffee 24/7
CONS: I never even thought to look at this but I will from now on..no breakfast!! The pantry did have a variety of breakfast items you could buy and there are other establishments semi close... But not even a continental breakfast. I'm on per died and that was a bite out of it I had not counted on. My fault...I didn't notice.
There was a truck right outside my window that was very loud..and when they cranked it was if it was in my room!! Not the hotels fault per se..but still annoying.
Since I was "Short term" there was no daily housekeeping... That was good and bad but I liked not having to worry about housekeeping and my computer and stuff...I did have to take out my trash but I'm sure they would have done it if I asked.
I sorta felt like I was on my own in a small apt rather than a hotel..lol
Will I stay here again....???? .sad to say NOPE...I want that little breakfast in the morning...

We stayed here recently on a Ranger game trip and enjoyed our stay.  The room was nice and very comfortable.  The bathroom set up is better than most.  The location is also a plus:  easy to get to everything in the area.  The Trolley serves the hotel but we chose to drive and park in order to get to the game when the gates opened at 5:00.
The trolley will get you there at like 5:30 and 6:30 which is still plenty early for the 7:05 start.

I am not always a fan of these extended stay type places but I would definitely consider staying here again.
