Do not stay here!!! Rooms were not clean, two fire alarms went off within a three day period before 8:00 a.m. while we were on vacation. Offer " Starbucks" coffee bar with service all day but noone to make a beverage or who knows how-when they finally did, seemed extremely put out.  Overpriced bar food and canned cheese does not qualify as a resteraunt for me. I would pass on this place unless you want to pay $11.50 for a disgusting buffet breakfast and poor staff attitudes.

Just minutes away from DFW Airport, the Arlington Crowne Plaza, is surrounded by local attractions, such as the Six Flags Over Texas, Hurricane Harbor, and the Ameriquest Field (Texas Rangers).   I stayed here during Cinco de Mayo weekend for my fiance's brother's wedding.  The first thing you will notice about this hotel is the exhilarating atrium within the hotel.  There is a center gazebo with an array of well placed trees surrounding it.  If you look up, you will be able to see all the guest rooms, similar to the Luxor in Las Vegas.

The suite we stayed in was above average.  Huge living room area, a decent bathroom, and over sized comfortable beds.  Better than some Crowne Plaza hotels I have stayed at.  The customer service is also above average.

I usually stay at Marriott's, but this was a great alternative.  The rates are affordable and the suites are clean and modern.  If you are flying into DFW Airport, you can catch their complimentary airport shuttle.

Really loud atrium, really loud against I-30, and they didn't have the room we reserved. When they said ok your room is ready for a king smoking room I was very unhappy. The girl said that at times when you book through Expedia or BookIt, they don't always really have those rooms. I booked a king non smoking suite. She offered a standard room with 2 doubles or I could keep the smoking room. No way am I staying in a smoking room. We checked it out, it smelled awful. So I waited, she waited, and then when she saw I wouldn't budge she offered us a king suite that was handicapped. Now, we don't have the relaxing tub, no shower curtain.. But I am happy it's not a smoking room. I'm here 2 nights, I guess this will have to do.

I stayed here during a business trip and it was okay. The beds were comfortable and the maids were attentive and thorough. I made the mistake of leaving stacks of quarters from the laundry room out on the counter for a few days and the day before I left I guess they thought it was a tip cause they took them. I didn't complain because I shouldn't have left them out. Plus, the front desk had been very helpful with all my needs (I'm high maintenance, unfortunately).

Otherwise, the heated pool was very clean and I saw the maintenance department testing the water every morning I was there. The fitness center was small, but had everything you need except space to do yoga.

I saw less stressed travelers enjoying the bar and watching the football game on large screens. I would recommend eating meals here, the restaurants were frequented fairly heavily throughout the day.

The only downside: at night, the vents and plumbing made a lot of rumbling and rattling noises, but I slept fairly well, which is so important when you're traveling for business.

Not a great hotel. With name like crowne plaza you would think it would update, say once, since it has opened. The too was old. The website said indoor and heated pool. It was half right. It was indoors, however it was colder inside, not heated, and you could not see the bottom of a 4 foot pool. The Starbucks closed at 4 pm and the TV's for the bar were pointed towards the lobby. Couldn't really sit and enjoy them.
I gave it 2 stars due to the fact that the service was nice and they have a trolley to the ballpark. ( I know there are others, I am trying to be nice.)

If they would update the place and actually follow their own website, this little hotel might be pretty nice.

The stay was pretty good. We stayed there to go to six flags. The service was pretty good. There was one girl at the desk who was extremely friendly but everyone else was kind of stand offish... The buffet in the morning was extremely overpriced but when I think of a hotel buffet, I think of all of these options. It was basically a continental breakfast. Still I think okay, 11.50 for a continental breakfast? I can do that. It was as of they didn't know how to season anything they cooked. It was really bland and yuck. Don't eat at the restaurant! We ended up with the morning waitress who didn't give two cents about her job either. She was a peach to wake up to. The rooms were nice with a comfy bed and two televisions for the entry and the bedroom. I would recommend staying there but book it on hotwire so its much cheaper!

We stayed her for two nights when we were in town for a wedding.  I was a little worried about the noise with the atrium-style hotel design (and hordes of teenagers in town for a Christian youth conference), but was pleasantly surprised by how quiet our room actually was.  The suite is divided up into a front living room and a back bedroom, separated by a thick door.  You could hear some of the outside noise in the living room, but it was quiet as the grave in the back.

I'm spoiled by our tempurpedic bed at home, so I can't say the bed was anything to write home about.  Sheets and towels were the usual starched-into-oblivion fare that you find at every hotel.  Amenities were average - two tv's (one in each area of the suite), decent bathroom, sink and mini-fridge which would have been nice if we were staying on business or otherwise longer.

Unlike the last hotel I stayed at, the maids actually respected the "do not disturb" sign.  Moreover, they managed to get in and out to clean the room in the scant hour we were gone for lunch, lol.

Staff was friendly, but their faux Starbucks closed at like 1pm - super lame.  Not that it mattered - I grabbed a drink and pastries the next morning when we checked out and both were sub-par.  Drink was weak and too hot, pastries were stale.  Oh well.

I didn't try out the pool, but I did slip into the gym for a half hour.  I was pleasantly surprised; it was clean, equipment was well-maintained, and it was slightly better-stocked than average.  The only negative was the horde of teens and pre-teens (from the aforementioned youth group) that decided to come in after I'd started my workout.  They weren't doing anything particularly stupid or dangerous (even though they were under-age to be there without supervision), but the crowd was irritating.

Overall, decent hotel.  I'd stay here again if I needed to be in the immediate area, but I wouldn't go out of my way for the place.

Overpriced for the services provided.  Food would have tasted better at half the price.  Restaurant service was slow and what you'd expect at a complimentary breakfast, not an expensive hotel.  Rooms are updated and the pool is nice.

Very Spacious rooms. Beds were super comfortable, plus they offered to replace it if it did not meet our satisfaction; the offer alone was Truly Sincere. Free Wi-Fi in the rooms and extended cable (all HBO channels plus many more). Rooms are Very QUIET (thick walls i guess), the couple next door apologized b/c their baby was crying very loud the night before; but we honestly did not hear a peep from next door!!

Indoor Heated Pool: which was Great considering it was pretty chilly during our stay. Very maintained and clean, not just the water but the entire pool area.

Fitness Room: Very Up-to-date with new elipticals and treadmills, I think about 6 totals maybe more. The room was also kept very Clean and stocked with complimentary towels & water.

In addition, the hotel has a Great location! Its close to Lincoln Square with is packed with restaurants & bars. PLUS Six Flags is literally right next door. The Hotel also offers a free shuttle service to take you to local shopping destinations & airport as well.

Desk Service was Excellent. The rooms do not come with a microwave but my girlfriend asked if they could bring one up during our stay and they did within minutes. They were also very helpful in listing local restaurants, bars and nail salons within the area and volunteered to drive us there & back, free of charge.

Hotel was as expected for the price range, but I had to write a review bc of the great experience our small group had in the bar with Ryan.  Fantastic bar service that made our stay in Dallas a memorable one.

What I liked:

The IHG points. When you stay at a Crowne Plaza you get a ton of points for some reason, compared to other brands. I'm platinum elite so I got over 6,000 points for 4 nights.

The fitness room. It was stocked with towels and sanitizing wipes. The cardio machines had the individual TVs on them. The treadmills were newer models and gym-quality.

The large suite room was nice. But the rooms should have microwaves (you only get a fridge).

What I didn't like:

The front desk: there was a big mix up with my company billing that was the hotel's fault.  Here's what happened. On 7/3/14, when my admin called to confirm, front desk staff member Emily says she has my employer's credit card authorization. On 7/14/14, I arrive and Front Desk Staff Jonathan can't find it. Because of this, check in took an extraordinary long time. I was hot and tired and wanted to go to my room badly. My admin was understandably pissed she had to resend it. Then when I was checking out they couldn't find my billing information! Really?! That process also took way longer than it should have. Just expect incompetence with your billing info if you're traveling on business.

There are no extra outlets by the bed. That's so annoying to me.

Hotel looks pretty nice on the surface but it is an older property. It was probably built in the mid 1980s by the looks of things. The ceilings are pretty low. The bathrooms only had a minor facelift when they updated the property a few years ago.

I had a few issues with the internet when I was trying up stream HBO, but it wasn't impossible.

I also thought the location was weird. It's not accessible from the service road.

All in all, I would stay here again despite the headaches at the front desk. Those IHG points made up for a lot.

Hotel is just as described in other reviews. The service is top notch - - seriously, all I needed to do was text the front desk, and the answer was texted back to me! I've never experienced this before in a hotel. I like how customer satisfaction is clearly their goal - and it shows! Everyone is friendly, the rooms are clean, and the amenities are better than I expected.

For example, the fitness room had a TV per cardio machine! Not to mention a hot tub! All I would suggest is a gift shop where one can purchase a bathing suit - - because I so wanted to take advantage!

If I'm back in Arlington, I'm sure I'll be back here.

One of my Go-To hotels when I am in the area.

Room was good, service was good, staff was friendly, greeted me each time I walked in the hotel and told me to have a nice day whenever I walked out.

Wifi was ok, not great, but ok.  TV had quite a few options for channels.  Comfortable bed, and I still love the little sleep packages they put on the beds.
