COCKROACH Place.. I mean Hyatt Place. Alright, I read the other reviews on here and they're right, cute, nice place. As far as clean??? Not too sure. I woke up in the middle of the night...well, actually 4AM to be exact. Went to the restroom and came out and what did I see? A freakin' COCKROACH laying upside down, still alive...it was HUGE...All sorts of horrifying thoughts went through my head...did I step on it on the way to the bathroom in the dark? Did it get caught in my PJ pants and roll over? Did I step on it w/ my bare foot? AHHHH!!!!!! GROSE!!! I killed it w/ my clogs and called the front desk. The guy came up, picked it up w/ napkin and said to me, what, you've never seen a COCKROACH before? I responded, "No, Not alive, NOT in L.A., Not at a Hotel!~" I didn't like his response...I am stayin' at HYATT, aren't I?...I said to him, "I hate Texas" and closed the door. He went downstairs and called me after about a minute asking if I wanted to switch rooms. I did and I still felt grouse since it was still the same floor (2nd Floor). Oh yeah, then I realized I left my flip-flops there ...called about 3x, spoke to 3 different people who said they'll call me back and never did. I can say when I checked in, there were 2 nice men at the front desk, but would I go back?...Not too sure..think COCKROACH won this battle. I will not stay there. Also, no toilet seat covers in their lobby bathroom, which doesn't make sense, and NO hair-dryer ladies. Not a good move when you're going on a business trip.

Tagged along with my bf on his business trip.  We didn't realize there were so many of this hotel in the area.  Inevitably, we tried to check in to the wrong location.  When we finally set ourselves straight, I was relieved that this one was exactly like the previous one, so at least they're consistent to a degree.  I like the clean, contemporary lines of decor.  I think the W Hotels really set a trend, and it's nice to see that lesser priced hotels can do the same thing.  I found the dessert case in the lobby intriguing since it contained cheesecake and cookies, as well as salads and sandwiches.  The cheesecake isn't bad, and neither are the salads, by the way!  Breakfast was free, if you had whatever they set out, which was fruit, pastries, bagels, toast, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal.  You could order hot brekkies, but I don't know if there was an extra cost, and I think they also offer limited room service.  The room was very spacious and I was pleased about the flat screen TV.  I couldn't tell if it was HD or not, since I'm not particularly technically inclined.  The two dings I'd have to mention is the hot water.  Aside from the first shower we took, the rest of the time, the water came out lukewarm.  They were fixing it the morning we checked out at 5 AM.  Also, the light switches on the nightstand lights weren't the most responsive.

Pleasantly surprised; this hotel was very clean and accommodating. The front lobby was quite small and the food selections within the hotel were limited but the rooms were clean and featured a queen bed, sectional, desk, and a large flat screen TV. The hotel also featured free WiFi which was a big plus! Our room was positioned with a great view of Six Flags which was also wonderful as well. The hotel was rather busy though; there were many families staying here because its proximity to the amusement park.

Fantastic, fantastic experience here!

Was in town for 1 night on business and literally wished that I had more time in town so that I could continue to stay at this hotel!

It was my first experience at a Hyatt Place property, and I was quite plesantly surprised!  Huge living room area with an L shaped couch was great for lounging or working off the wi-fi.  Comfy beds and clean bathrooms.

The free breakfast downstairs was good, not amazing, but you could order additional items at a cost to really jazz things up.

The place just had a very down home feeling.  The staff was friendly and helpful.  They recommended a great, mid-range steakhouse nearby for a late dinner.  They were helpful with directions and with a quick checkout for my group of 8 or 9 rooms.

It is also located super close to Six Flags, so I'd definitely recommend it as a leisure hotel for families coming in to go to the Park.  You'll love it!

Loved our stay here from Sun-Wed! Only thing holding me back from giving 5 stars: crappy towels, tiny bathroom, not very many HD channels for the 42" tv. Otherwise, the room was spacious, the mini fridge was nice (although it rattled), the large couch was comfy, as was the bed, and our corner room was pretty quiet. Nice modern design made it feel a little more upscale, but the rates were very reasonable. The guest kitchen, bar and grab n' go areas in the lobby were neat - we had a couple mini pizzas one night that were good ($8 ea). Room was across from the ice machine and housekeeping closet, but it wasn't noisy until Wednesday morning for some reason. One maid's phone kept going off with annoying music ringtones. Overall, it was nice, comfortable and affordable.

It's funny that all the reviews on here thus far are from people who live in southern California.

I just stayed here this past weekend and would definitely recommend anyone who's looking for a place to stay outside of Dallas or near the Rangers Ballpark/Cowboy Stadium/Six Flags to stay here.  They have self check-in/check out making it very convenient for travelers. The lobby/guest area is a bit small but I didn't really spend any time in it to really care. My room was very comfortable huge king-size bed, 42" LCD TV w/HD channels, couch, fridge & mini bar area, desk, and bathroom.  My room was clean and comfortable and I really didn't have any complaints about it. I agree with Chris H. that the desk really isn't in an opportune spot in relation to the television but I guess they really want to make sure you get your work done, so naturally I moved my laptop to the bed.

I also didn't like where they didn't tell you where the ice machine was. A nit-picky thing I know but myself and another guy on my floor were both trying to find it and it didn't say anywhere on the hotel map so we just went to different floors until one had one.

I also enjoyed the fact the hotel has a grab & go area and place to order food in the hotel lobby. Albeit a little on the pricey side it was very handy when I came back from the Rangers game a bit intoxicated (just to note: there is a trolley that will take you to the ballpark and back i was keeping the streets safe kids) and was able to grab a ham sandwich, bottle of Dr. Pepper, and chocolate cheesecake -- what other mid-level hotel will give you that? If I have to stay in Arlington again I will definitely stay here again.

Our 3 day stay at the Hyatt Place was outstanding! We flew from Chicago to Dallas for a wedding. A big group of people from the party, including the groom himself, was also staying at this same hotel. The staff welcomed us with a friendly smile, showed us all the hotel had to offer for our needs, and even accommodated more people into rooms.
The facility is very clean, quiet, and looks very tidy. The hotel is conveniently located near forth wort airport, six flags is out your window. The best feature the hotel offers is their 24 hour staff available service, as well as food at any time. Their free breakfast is also great- mutiple choices for kids and adults and yummy hot coffee :)
Finally when our stay was over we had a situation trying to figure out how to get to the airport, that's when we learned they have a complementary shuttle that can drop you off at the airport... the manager himself drove us there.
I'm not sure if I'll ever have to fly over to Dallas...but I sure do wish all hotel experiences were like this one. +++++++++++

Great rooms, staff was very friendly, easy access to where the Ranger and Cowboys play.  They were renovating the bathrooms to make them more modern when we were there so it was pretty loud with construction.  Parking lot is a tad small for the size of the hotel.  Close to restaurants and shopping.

I'll stay at a Hyatt Place any time.  In town on business at Six Flags, this was a prime location and well within budget.

The staff at this particular location was incredibly friendly and helpful.  Rooms were clean, parking was easy and the continental breakfast was good enough.  I like that they have Tazo teas for grabs in the morning.

This chain has a modern, sleek design and a decent bar in the lobby.  Simple, yet all you really need.  I'm hoping to stay here again on a return trip next month.

I would definitely stay here again.  Really cool decor, yet practical for families.  The location is awesome for all the Six Flags attractions.  Really appreciate the sectional style sofa in every room and the audio/ video connections to the HD TV in every room.

My only complaint was the price was a bit steep but if you can catch a deal, jump on it!!

staff is very helpfull and friendly....very close to dallas cowboys stadium and rangers stadium..the rooms are pretty decent and pretty big for the price we paid...if you are visiting dallas it is very suggested you rent a car..i got a rent a car from avis down the street and the hotel shuttle was able to take us to the rent a car place.

this hotel will pick you up from the airport and also take you anywhere within a 5 mile radius. they do not take people to cowboy stadium on game days but there is a restaurant called humerdinks that dose shuttles to the games. this hotel is not near downtown dallas or downtown arlington so you will need a car...this is a good hotel is you are going to six flags dallas it is super close and the shuttle bus can take you. be shure to tip your driver.

As a frequent traveller, I've seen more than my fair share of hotel rooms. On the whole, I basically just look for it to be clean, for the TV to be decent, and a comfortable bed. After that, everything else is gravy.

Imagine my surprise when first checking in to the Hyatt Place.

First - the rooms are huge. They're basically "extended stay" size, only cozy. There's an L-shaped couch that's perfect for relaxing on while watching the rather large LCD TV (with most channels in HD - a rarity in hotel rooms).

While we're talking about the TV, they have a panel that's exposed that you can plug in whatever device you want to the TV. Want to watch a DVD from your laptop? Plug it in! Bring your Wii with you wherever you go? Plug it in! No having to find the back of the TV to plug in to (assuming that the hotel doesn't have a security device on it.)

The one knock is where the desk is in relation to the TV. It's rather challenging (without moving the desk around (and I'm not one to shy away from rearranging a hotel room)) to see the TV while sitting at the desk. If they could fix that, then this place would be hotel nirvana.

That being said, the one little knock isn't enough to knock this down a star.

The hotel room was wonderful. The (king size) bed was super comfortable and big and plush. The living room was nice and homey and great when we brought breakfast back to the room. The pictures on the website are pretty accurate.

Now the downside, the shampoo and conditioner didn't really make you feel clean. It felt like the cheap shampoo/conditioner/soap that left a film on you, but nothing could wash it off. The elevators were slow, and in the mornings, it was difficult getting anywhere because the elevators were slow and crowded. Also, the breakfast area is a bit crazy in the morning because it seems like everyone was trying to eat in a small space.

The area is under construction and near Six Flags and Jerry world, but there's not much else to do there.

Definitely priceline this hotel fro the best rates. I got mine for $45/night (Sat-Su stay).

Stayed here 2 days. Quiet, clean, good service & empty mid-week. Bed & pillows fairly comfy. shower only. got a quiet room at the end of the 3rd floor. Can't ask for a better location if doing Six Flags. Papasito's mexican food close by - hmmm... We'll stay here again if doing a Rangers/Cowboys game or Six Flags.

This was my second time staying at Hyatt Place in Arlington. I  was in Arlington for the Cowboy/Giants game.

The hotel is about a 25 minute walk to Cowboys Stadium. It's a little closer walk to the Rangers stadium. Six flags is located right across the street.  There is also a great sports bar, Humperdinck's right across the parking lot. They provide shuttle service to and from DFW airport which is great. They offer free continental breakfast. This consisted of cereals, toast, bagels, fruit, juices and coffee/tea.

The room was nice and large. We had a double bed and the  sectional couch had a pull-out. Their was a nice size flat tv, a desk area, and fridge. The room was clean and was well taken care of by housekeeping.

The staff has been very welcoming and helpful on both my stays here. Definitely recommend.

I tried to cancel a room and speak with a manager and they told me no manager was on site. How does a hotel not have a manager on site? I have left several messages to have a manager call me back and I still have not received a response. I think this is terrible business practice and I am terribly disappointed. They canceled my room even though I asked them not to. I would not recommend staying here- they are not accommodating or communicative.

Decided to drive from California to see the beautiful AT&T stadium, I read the reviews and decided to book our stay at the Hyatt. So after our cowboys win we went back to the hotel wanting to relax, both rooms were not clean! Ugh! After calling the front desk clerk he mentioned there was nothing he can do nor was there a manager available to speak with. What kind of business does not have a manager that can be there to resolve issues that arise. So we figured over $900 wasted because the beds were so uncomfortable and their customer service was less than accommodating.  Also don't plan on having dinner in the lobby it took 1 hour before we decided to ask the host to cancel our order. No dinner, no good nights rest but hey, our cowboys won!

I've stayed at this property about 40 times & the staff is great & the rooms are very modern & clean.  Additionally, the room rates are very reasonable.  I travel often & Hyatt has the best rewards program.  I can't say enough positive things about this hotel.

Not bad, not bad.  I stayed here recently (last weekend) with my mom and brother because we were sending my bro off to college ::sniff::  The room we got was roomy and clean!

There were 2 full size bed (it was soooo not a queen size) and a sectional couch.  The room was pretty big and the 3 of us slept comfortably.

Checking in and out was easy and they even offered free breakfast downstairs.

I do highly recommend this place if you need to stay around this area. Six Flags is literally next door and finding food around the area wasn't an issue.

I normally stay at Marriott or Hilton brand hotels and this is my first time staying at a Hyatt. I have to say I am very pleased with my experience so far. Very friendly staff, very easy check in process and the hotel is spotless. The rooms are modern, spacious and quite comfortable for extended business travelers. I don't feel like I'm in a cramped room as I have experienced at some hotels. The desk area has plenty of room for a laptop, legal pad, and whatever else you may need to have quick access to. The breakfast blows any hotel breakfast buffet out of the water. Very happy I booked this hotel!

Would not hesitate to stay here again.   Very extremely clean and modern, outstanding staff of friendly and helpful people that are just plain nice.    Met family from Japan in Dallas and we stayed here with two rooms.  Went to the Dallas Cowboys game where they beat the Vikings.   Everything is within walking distance and the free breakfast was WAY better than expected!    HUGE TV's in the rooms as well.   Perfect for sports fans.

The breakfast is actually awesome, an all you can eat buffet of really good stuff.   We ate breakfast here every day we stayed as there's no need to go anywhere else with this much great food for free.

Arrived at the hotel and it looked like the palaces in Europe with incredible ceilings. The halls were bright and clean. The surprise was that even though we booked on hotwire, we were upgraded to a suite with a lovely king bed, walk in closet, and separate sitting room with sofa and dining table. Only downside was that the room was not as soundproofed as it could have been. Traffic noise was audible, though not so bad that it prevented sleep.

I had to stay 6 nights for training in the near by Centerpoint I-III Buildings. This hotel is very clean. The rooms are very accommodating and the staff are friendly and helpful. I preferred the evening crew over the day crew. They seemed more personable. I will stay here again on my next trip to the Arlington/Six Flags area. Cowboy Stadium, Rangers Ballpark, as well as Six Flags, are walkable from this location ( less than 1 mile walk).
