Stay here for busisness. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, and service is friendly. The pool area is large with plenty of chairs and tables, and there is a water play area for the kids. Good location, good value for the money.

Stayed here for 2 nights.  Everything was great.  Front desk was super friendly and helpful.
Room/hotel was very clean and has everything you would need...iron, hair dryer, refrigerator, microwave, free internet in the room, "business center" in the lobby with free computers and internet and printers, swimming pool, exercise gym, bar, hot breakfast, etc.
Gave it 4 stars for 2 reasons:
1) Free internet in the room is wired internet.  This isn't a big deal, but seriously, it's 2010, get WiFi.  Wired internet worked great without any problems.
2) TV in the room was an old fashioned 19" tube TV.  Once again, it's 2010, get a flat panel TV already, or at least have something bigger than 19".
Otherwise, I enjoyed my time there and would definitely stay there again, if I'm ever in the area again.

I have stayed at this location dozens of times. Never had an issue. Manager and entire staff is A+++. Onsite lounger, with a great bartender, and food too without having to leave the hotel. Hot breakfast in the morning is another A+++.

When we first arrived at 9am. Our room wasn't ready cause check in is at 3pm. We went for the Dallas Cowboys game. We had family staying there already. So we caught the free shuttle with them to the stadium. If you are handicap or elderly, please let front desk know so driver can put you in first on the shuttle and they can drop you off at the front entrance. After the game our room was ready and was the most comfortable bed and the best breakfast.People are so friendly.Six flags right across street.Best location.Loved my stay there.

This is the most happening La Quinta I've ever been to.  It has a bar, but that means there's no convenient free coffee 24/7 like other LQs. You can walk to Six Flags from this place. They also have free shuttles to Six Flags (if you don't want to walk), Hurricane Harbor, and any other place close, including Rangers Stadium. The pool was larger than those LQs usually have. The six-year-old we had with us loved that there was always a good group of kids there and at the water-play area and at the hot tub. Breakfast had all the usual inexpensive features of places like this- cold and hot cereal, waffles, bagels, coffee and tea, but there were also hot egg medallions, hot sausage patties and hot biscuits.
I don't know of a more convenient, cost-effective lodging for a visit to Six Flags and other nearby amusements.

I tried.  I gave the manager a chance to make things right, even just acknowledge my grievance.  Said manager has ignored me.  Time for a Yelp review.

Perhaps I'm about to be too harsh. So, let me ask you, Yelp reader, person considering this hotel.

Let's say that you're in a chain's rewards program.  You stay at their establishments around the country routinely.  You're loyal.  You typically say nice things about their hotels.

Now, you decide to attend a baseball game and bring a friend.  You make a reservation a month in advance.  You pay around $100.00.  You get an email confirmation.

When you get there, they say your room's not ready.  No problem; it's about 2:40 and check-in isn't until 3pm.  "That's fine," you say, "we'll just go and get lunch.  Can we still check in?"  Front desk dude takes your name down...writes down a room number (remember that) and says "We'll just take care of it when you return."

Fast forward about an hour: 3 people in line in front of you and none of them are getting the room that they reserved.  Hmm.  Maybe this is worrisome.  But you're a rewards member and you already tried to check in .  Surely this won't be the case for you, right?

Wrong.

Your friend asks front desk dude why he wrote our name and a room number down.  He says that "other people haven't checked out" including the people inhabiting your room, which is why you can't have your room.  And why they are "overbooked." This makes you ask out loud the purpose of a reservation.  Or why they don't kick people out because their room has already been reserved.  Or if last night's patrons try to game the system and just disappear, why don't they clear out their room and put their belongings in a safe place?  Because...THAT'S WHAT OTHER HOTELS DO!

So here you are: two married, heterosexual men who are now looking at sleeping in a single king-bed room.  And one with no microwave or refrigerator (which was what you had reserved).  (Yes women...I hear your snickers.  Very funny.)

"No problem...we'll throw in a rollaway, no charge."  Oh really?  How wonderfully magnanimous.   No extra charge to get a much crappier bed to replace the one you reserved in the first place.  That is so awesome.  Perhaps they'll get a gold star from their manager.  Who is likely too busy handing out gold stars to respond to emails.

So...you're now going to be forced to eat out (since you can't buy food or drink & bring it back).  One of you is going to have to sleep on the foldy-style bed, which is always a treat.  Oh...and the room wasn't made for 2 beds, so now you have the added fun of no room to move around.  That's special.

Now, if that were you, AND you emailed the hotel manager telling him of your experience, and he/she doesn't even bother to respond to you a full week later, would you feel that hotel deserved anything better than 1 star?

Me neither.

I've stayed at this hotel twice. Once on a business trip (in January) and the second time on vacation (in July). During the winter months the hotel is not too crowded because the two big attractions (Six Flags and Texas Rangers baseball) are in their off-season. Expect a packed hotel during the summer.

That said, the hotel is extremely convenient to either attraction. It's next door to Six Flags and about a mile to the Ballpark at Arlington. The hotel does provide a shuttle to Rangers games or it is an easy walk (that's what we did).

If it's packed, expect the hotel to be quite noisy because the walls are pretty thin and there will probably be a lot of kiddos as well.

This is a newer property in a great location - about a mile from the Texas Rangers ballpark and the new Dallas Cowboys stadium, and walking distance to Six Flags amusement park.

As noted by another yelper, no wifi in the rooms (missed opportunity; there is free wired internet, though) and 19" CRT TV is a dinosaur. There is free wifi in the lobby/meeting rooms but it's really needed in the rooms.

Rooms are clean, furniture newer, bed comfortable. What's not to like?

Very friendly and helpful staff.
I was here for ten days due to work. I did not have a rental car and had to rely on the hotel shuttle service. This place more than accommodated me. I scheduled a ride to work and a pickup with the front desk, for the time I was there. They never missed a pickup and were on time. The house cleaning staff did a great job. The room service was ok. Overall my stay was one of the better motel stays I've had.

We stayed here because of the amazing rates, and because of how close they were to six flags, and we couldn't of been more blessed to stay here!!! When we first checked in the room we got the wrong room due to online booking. However, the front desk lady was amazing, and made sure the room we got next was the correct room. She even upgraded us to make sure we were comfortable and had a room with two bedrooms. After we enjoyed our time at six flags, we went to sleep. Then after waking up, we went to go downstairs to pack our car, to find out our car was missing. It was not their fault, we had borrowed my mother in laws car, and she apparently was default in her payments, so the car got repoed. The front desk was so helpful, they gave us a ride TWICE to enterprise so we could rent a car to get home.  While the GM was taking us to the rental company, we told him some of our problems we were having trying to find the repo company to get the stuff out of the car. The people didn't leave a phone number or address and since we were out of town, it was a important need to get this information. He dropped us off and wished us safe travels. About 20 minutes later, we received a phone call at enterprise from the GM from LQ.  He apparently tracked down the tow truck and demanded them to give him their phone number since they failed to do so, and they were a new company with no information online. That was amazing of him to do so, since we had no leads to get their number. (He was more helpful to us than the local police department). Needless to say, this was one of the best places to stay at! They go out of their way to help you. Thank you Bill and all the LQ staff for everything.

Love this hotel. Have received great service from everyone that we have encountered. The room is very clean and well maintained.

I love that the LQ brand is dog friendly and the employees at this location have been very accommodating.

I also like the bar on premises that (unlike most hotel bars) was not unreasonably priced.

Not at all what I expected! Such a GREAT hotel. Everybody there was so friendly and seemed like they really enjoyed being there. The rooms were super clean. Great kids splash area and pool. We walked to Six Flags and were able to bring the little kids back for a nap 1/2 way thru our Six Flags day!
Would definitely stay here again!!

This is a super LQ location.  The rooms are clean, large, and well cooled.  Breakfast is a typical LQ fair, nothin special here.  The pool area is great! It's open from 9-midnight which is great after long Six Flags days.  They also have a kids splash park in the pool area.
Parking is easy and they offer a free 5 mile radius shuttle!

I recently stayed at la quinta inn right next to 6 flags. I was with a group and I ended up having to sleep on the fold out couch bed, it wasn't very comfortable, but what can you expect from a sofa bed.. The pool was clean and cold. had it all to my self. I guess nobody was swimming because it was cold. I enjoyed it. The breakfast was good. nothing to complain about. Everything was pretty good. Above average. I give five stars because the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I made the mistake of leaving my mp3 player in the fold out couch bed, They mailed it back to me. Very cool. Thank you.

I was held over in Dallas because of storms in Oklahoma. The airlines put me in a room here at a discounted rate. The room was very clean, Nothing fancy, and the beds were oh so comfortable.

I had checked in around 9 in the morning and the front desk was very friendly. I noted that their shuttle service Did not start until 7 the next morning however my flight was to leave at 7:15. When I had asked about other ways to get to the airport, they were kind enough to let me know that there would be an early one that left at 6.

The hotel was right across the street from Six Flags and if it was opened I would have been tempted to go. The hotel gives discounts to Six Flags as well as other nearby attractions Which would be an enticement for me to return.

Although it was one day I stayed, this hotel has been one of the best I've been to. Clean comfortable rooms and friendly  staff. Well worth the time and money to stay again.

We are in the middle of relocating to the DFW area. Our lease in Austin is up and we have not gotten into our corporate housing just yet. So....we are hoteling it. I'm going to try not to look at this through the eyes of a person who feels like she is about to lose her dang mind. Rather, I'll try to look at it as an opportunity to Yelp! So here we go...the first of several hotel reviews.

So we are very familiar with the Arlington area as we lived there prior to moving to the Midwest five years ago. So this area is kind of iffy. Yes, it is in the hub of the tourist mecca of Arlington. You've got Cowboys and Rangers stadiums within five minutes, the water park within five minutes, and Six Flags right there. There is also some shady area right around this hotel. But I was really very pleasantly surprised by this hotel.

We are pulled to LQ's generally because they do not charge for pets (generally speaking) and our Fred travels with us always so saving a bit of money is awesome. This hotel is big and nice. It is clean, safe, and updated. You know how a lot of hotels have those towels that are tiny and feel like sandpaper? No here. Their towels were actually fluffy and soft. I KNOW! We had a room with a king bed. Plenty of space in the bedroom area, a nice large desk, decent sized and stocked bathroom. Their was a mini fridge, and I want to say that there was a microwave, but I might be mistaken.

Downstairs there is a bar, a breakfast area, and plenty of seating. There also is a nice and quiet computer/office area if you should need that. There are meeting/convention rooms, and while there for a couple of days there were plenty of "business people" roaming about. This is good to see because to me it says that this LQ actively looks to host events. This means they will continue to maintain their hotel so businesses aren't turned off.

There are plenty of restaurants and some shopping nearby. A little bit further away there is a mall, more shopping and tons of restaurants.
