Came back to work today to find that my room had not received maid service. I then dialed the front desk and let it ring about 5 minutes before hanging up. I then have to walk up to the front desk to ask for maid service but the maid service had left for the day. Time was about 5:30pm. Then I'm offered towels to appease me and I accept but then the clerk answers the phone and so I expect to have them delivered to my room. The clerk then proceeds to call my room later to ask me to come back to the front desk and pickup my towels. I can't believe the horrible service. And to think I chose this place over the Holiday Inn Express that is undergoing construction. The La Quinta is very outdated and overpriced for its condition and service. Back to the Hoiday Inn Express I guess.

Yes I have experienced better, however I am still giving this 3 stars for A-OK. For traveling on a budget it is a good place to stay.
Cons: Small closets. Bad paint job on the doors. No wireless Internet in the room.
Pros: Comfortable beds, decent breakfast with waffles, pre-made eggs, cereal, fruit, pastries. Decent bathrooms. And quiet for being located so close to the freeway. Also close to a lot of dining selections and the mall.

This is on the "company approved" hotel lists for business travelers, so I booked it with some trepidation after reading some of the reviews from some of the other travel websites. I'd love to say that they were wrong, but, well, they weren't.
This La Quinta looked like it had seen much better days--back in the 1990s, I would say. The rooms were in desperate need of some renovation with dated carpets, window coverings, and a tube television that had definitely seen better days. The rooms did, however, come with free wired high speed Internet, so that wasn't too bad, I suppose. The walls are super thin in the hotel, as well, and I could hear the conversations of the people in the room next door, along with their crying baby at night. They also, oh-so-conveniently requested a wake up call at 6:30 in the morning ... and didn't answer the phone, so their telephone was ringing for a good 20 minutes or so. Classy. Nice.
The saving grace of this place was that they had a decent continental breakfast where I had a Texas-shaped waffle for breakfast a few times, along with some fresh fruit.
I'm not going to complain too much since my company picked-up the tab for my stay there, however, if I am ever in the Arlington area again, I would definitely check out my other options before staying here.

We always stay in La Quinta's because we have a dog! This hotel is outdated but we've stayed in worse! It's very clean though and is located in a wonderful spot for food and shopping!
Front desk staff was very nice and helpful! Will stay again if we are I'm the area!!!
Please know its not 5 star but the nightly rate is very worth it! There's always worse for cheaper or 5 star for way more money!!!

When we booked this hotel, we were expecting it to be the newer one not too far away which I have previously stayed at and enjoyed tremendously. When we arrived, we realized we booked the wrong hotel but decided to stay anyways. It was just a meh experience. Nothing super great but there were a few not so great things. The breakfast was just plain gross and felt like they tried to reuse uneaten food from the day before. The hard boiled eggs tasted old and there was no option for a hot breakfast. They seemed to have recently redone the breakfast eating area, but it did not make up for the content of the breakfast. They had the bare minimum of cereal, oatmeal, breads, fruits and subpar waffles. And apparently you pay a fee per person for their not so spectacular breakfast. If you're into that thing, then great--but I'm definitely not. The day we arrived, we also had a large beetle thing crawling in our room which put me on edge a little while I walked around trying not to step on another bug. On the other hand, the pool area was the best I've ever seen at a hotel; it's clean and well maintained with a nice setting and an available hot tub. Although some of the physical things were not up to my standards, the staff was extremely kind and helped with any problem quickly and efficiently. I appreciate a good effort to make this place better with a great staff to run it.

This is what you would expect from a standard chain hotel.. in Arlington.
This hotel has a commendable continental. There is the waffle machine as mentioned but the staff is what makes it. I went down at 8:30 (closes at 9) with my 3 yr old in tow, both in pajamas and shoeless. The lobby was so packed with people eating I was glad we decided to bring it up to the room. There was a super sweet housekeeper who helped us with our plates.
It was nice being located in the middle of everything but it caused for a lot of traffic. While I am being a negative nancy I will say the elevators are from the dinosaur age and its way faster to take the stairs. Don't want to take my word? Watch for the few that stand by the elevator waiting on their loved ones after they themselves hustled the stairs.
It was clean and comfortable. This is an average hotel at its best.

I read the reviews before I came, and I still tried to have an open mind, even though I don't really enjoy the city of Arlington at all. When we got here the front looked cute, and the front desk workers were helpful and nice. When I came into the room, it smelled like musky cigarette smoke - definitely not pleasant. The comforter is really nice, and I enjoyed the decor - at least it looks like they have upgraded this room. Pros and cons -
- My dogs can be here with me and my husband. They don't charge extra for dogs, and I now know why...
- Seemed clean enough, except for the hair in my tub...gross.
- In N Out is right in front of the hotel, and I love it...and shopping and other restaurants are close by as well
- Warm water that lasted awhile in my relaxing shower
- A/C is controlled by a thermostat and actually goes below 70 degrees so I love that and can sleep comfortably.
- Did I say they allowed dogs?
- They have a nice desk area in the room and wireless internet
- The clientele! I am not a stuck up by any means, but there are quite a few sketchy characters here, and people were driving by yelling at my husband randomly ...about our dog when she was trying to potty? Just gives off a very ghetto feel. I know the hotel can't help that - but I just want people to know. If you have kids..,
- One of the elevators broke when I was here...and yes, it's true, they are ancient and they are HOT and stuffy.
- It is very noisy and the walls are thin. Also, the doors are banged up and you can see through where the frame meets the bottom of our door because it doesn't close flush...it's a tad creepy.
- We got on the elevator and smelled of marijuana...
- I was in my bathroom getting ready and started smelling someone ELSE'S bowel movement..yes, gross but true. I only smelled it in the bathroom, because I walked into the room then back in to make sure I wasn't crazy. It was disgusting. Then in my room I started smelling cigarette smoke again.
- They put us on the 5th floor and we have dogs...but then again it might be a PRO because of the safety issue...
- IT IS NOISY. NOISES EVERYWHERE - in the hallway, outside, yelling, talking, it's horrible.
- I don't feel safe to go out after dark. Maybe I'm paranoid, but it doesn't feel safe at all. As I've said probably a million times already.
- Internet has no password, therefore is not secure at all
So, there ya go, that's all I have.

Not sure why this hotel has such poor reviews. We stayed here as part of a family gathering and they were able to accommodate the majority of our family.
Recently renovated. They allow dogs. Rooms are nicely laid out and furnished. Bed was reasonably comfy. Our rooms were very clean so I don't understand the other reviews. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Walls are very thin. Although my stay was not terribly noisy. Breakfast was okay although this might be my fault for not getting down there until 9.
The elevators are very old and one of them was broken but this didn't bother me too much.
I would stay here again.

I decided to stay here for the Shamrock Series between Arizona State and Norte Dame because it's only 15 minutes away.
The rooms are a lot bigger than most La Quinta rooms. The beds and walls were decorated very fashionable. Rooms comes with microwave and refrigerator.
The bathrooms were not very good. Sink barely had water coming out. Only one towel rack for hand towels. Nothing to hang your bath towels on and small French doors for the bathroom. Not very good.
Also, they did not have any Do Not Distrub sign for the doors. Door was hard to open after you put the key into it. Most hotels put the bill under your door on your last night but not here. No fast check-out here. Had to go to the front desk to check out.
Now for the breakfast. Let's see. They had a waffle maker. One the was a circle and another in the shape of Texas. Only problem is the waffles were not fully cooked. Saw other tables too and uncooked waffles. They have muffins, bananas, apples, bagels in bags, toast, yogurt, and cereal. I would say its a very weak breakfast. I recommend for you to go across the street to IHOP. Breakfast is better there.
Overall, very disappointed at this La Quinta. If I ever come back to Dallas, I know i won't be staying here again. There must be better places.

Stayed here based solely because of the location. It has an In-N-Out Burger, IHOP and Saltgrass Steakhouse within walking distance. Shopping is great too with the Arlington Highlands and the Parks Mall close by. We spent most of our time at Six Flags which is a fifteen minute drive.
The beds were soft and comfy. Room was large and come with a microwave and mini fridge.
The only complaint I have is the breakfast was blah. I suggest the IHOP just to the southwest within walking distance.
Other than that, our stay was great. Bring lots of extra money to eat and shop while staying here.
