For some reason, my review of my non-stay at this property was filtered. I had paid in advance to guarantee my reservation and then was promptly shown the door as there was no room, nor did it seem that there was any real effort to provide my room as reserved. I was sent down the road to a sub-par smoking option, with one bed instead of two, for a family of four. So that wasn't going to work. Should I go back and try again? Hope to get my money back somehow? The weekend at the Scottish Festival was certainly ruined.

Pretty standard hotel, similar to most other chains. We've stayed here before and things were... ok. This time? Not so much.
First, the front desk locked themselves out of the computer and couldn't remember the password, so they had to call the corporate office to reset the password, which meant a 30 minute wait.
Then, all around the hotel on the sidewalks, there were people with beer coolers partying at 11pm. At one point while in our room, there was a woman crying outside our door.
And then, the beds were freaking HARD and the pillows tiny.
Finally, the continental breakfast... the gravy for the biscuits and gravy was so watered down, it might as well have been hot milk (but thinner).
Of all the chains we've stayed in, this was the worst.

This is my go-to place in Arlington when we're down visiting friends and family, starting 3 years ago when standing vigil at an Arlington hospital that was saving the life of our niece. At that time, it was cost more than anything else which made such a long stay possible -- and the room was adequate for that purpose.
Now, it is more convenience which this hotel offers -- it is convenient to the Parks at Arlington mall, lots of movie theaters, endless shopping, and great restaurants. There's always convenient parking and clean, non-smoking rooms.
They offer a decent snack of a breakfast -- free WiFi, a small fridge and microwave, and a respectable lineup of TV.
My only problems have to do with the hotel staff. Their "service attitude" skills are a little spotty, and occasionally short tempered and rude when answering questions over the phone. Also, their WiFi connection is a touchy and slow, but works.
As long as I can get online consistently, I count it as a win in a hotel this inexpensive!
The rooms are looking beat up and smell of paint touch-ups -- I'd say they are due a make-over when the economy picks up a bit more, but still clean and respectable.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Lots of shopping and restuarants nearby. We were given a "non-smokling" room that reeked of tobacco. The bed was so caved in the middle that we ended up crammed in the center cause we kept rolling. The room was fairly clean but needs an overhaul. We stayed 4 nights and one night a large semi truck was parked in the parking lot next to our room where it continued to run on and off for hours. When i called to the front desk they told me they couldn't make the driver move but they could switch us to another room. Since it was after midnight we were in our pjs and completely unpacked so we just truned up the tv to drown everything out. As for the free breakfast, horrible biscuits and gravy and not hardly anything for my diabetic diet, even all the cereals were sugar coated.Pool was closed and only one ice machine in working order. This could be an awesome place with a little work because the staff tries hard with what they have to work with.

We booked our trip through Hotels.com We ended up staying at two different hotels while we were in Arlington due to this hotel being $25 plus more a night the second week I tried to book it. I would have stayed at the first even with the price increase if I had to go back again. Here's a general run-down...
-Condition of room: Needs a face-lift in general
--Ice Machine: Only downstairs and was not working
-Microwave and Refrigerator: Both were very small
-Outlets: Some of them looked like fire hazards
-Television: Lots of channels
-Internet: Easy to sign into their secured network...ran well while we where there
-Location: Had good freeway access as well as lots of restaurants and shopping right behind it in a very large and nice shopping center....probably its best feature to me
-Staff: Friendly and Helpful
-Breakfast: Free...didn't try it though so can't attest to quality
In the end it is worth about $70 a night for me.....which is only a little less than what I paid for it....
*It only shows me checking in once though because I only checked in when I checked out....it's not really safe to me otherwise....don't need stalkers
