I didn't expect much from this place. I am a Choice Privileges Member, and have always found Quality/Comfort Inn's to be a nice place to rest your head with decent-enough accommodations. Any of it's negatives were outweighed by location.

We checked in with no issues. Learning it used to be a Motel 6 makes a lot of sense by the design of the place. Our room was small but enough for the two of us. The beds were a little small, but the room was clean. It had a fridge, a working TV, a microwave and a desk area. The room was pumping nice, cool air conditioning when we got in. I didn't notice anything bad, except there was an inconspicuous green towel left hanging in the shower that I assumed was a maintenance towel. We left it for them to pick up the next day, but they had placed it back near the shower, probably assuming it was ours. It ended up in the trash.

The hotel was rather quiet for being so close to the freeway. We stayed here for the value, but mostly the location. Out for a Football game, we were able to walk to and from the stadium with no problems. Now, understand this walk is NOT a "right across the road" kinda of walk. A little over a mile, it was a walk that took a bit of time. But we had that time, and in the worst case could have grabbed a Taxi, Uber, or Lyft to get to anywhere for probably pretty cheap (we Uber-d to Downtown Dallas for $25). After the game we also saw many bike-rikshaws going up the rode but did not get pricing. We were happy to walk, however I didn't want to leave the impression that it was "just across the street".

I would, and likely will, stay here again if we went back out to Dallas (Arlington) for a Cowboys or Rangers game in the future. And Six Flags looked like a blast

Next time.

Check in went a little slow, but that's to be expected when training. The problem came when we got back for the night. We had a suite with a fold out couch. The room had no bedding or pillows for it. My husband had to go down and ask for some. The desk clerk was extremely rude and gave him the bar minimum that would work. The toilet seat broke off, the room you can tell has been barely cleaned. When he asked to speak with a manager his response was non were on duty till noon tomorrow & he couldn't help him. On the way back up my husband found multiple safety violations that will be reported to corporate. We do not recommend this place and will never stay here again.

"kind of got stuck with this place on one of those Priceline bids, but for $60 it'll do I suppose"

Honestly, I highly debated giving this place 3 stars, but couldn't muster up the click towards the extra star. I feel if anything, it deserves a solid 2.5 for trying.
I would like to start by clearing up that this is in fact a Quality Inn, brand new remodel. However, it was previously a Motel 6 and still looks like one, in a lot of ways, from the outside.
Quality inn is typically always very nice and in-line with Comfort Suites and Comfort Inn. this one was not as nice as any Quality inn I've stayed in or driven past. To get to your room door, you have to drive around "back alleys" where mattresses are thrown out and then walk up to your door from the outside. Doesn't feel very safe at all. The pool looks like a pool you would see at a Motel 6.
The reason why this place isn't getting one star is because they did put good effort into the interior...or tried. The flat screen was okay, but lines ran down the front. The bathroom and sink area were nicely remodeled. Although, the bed was pretty uncomfortable and the door looked like someone had previously tried to break in because it wasn't shutting properly. One thing I can say. is the air worked great, especially after a long day at Six Flags.
This hotel served the purpose of a one night place to crash. The breakfast was not even up to standards of normal quality inns. Microwave bacon, rubbery eggs and no waffles...so onto a real breakfast joint.
I'm disappointed in Quality Inn for even turning this location into a part of their chain and even more disappointed in Priceline for allowing this to be in the 2.5-3 star region of the bids.
