The rooms are pretty decent except for the A/C. It blows right on your face. The bar is pretty decent. Not an extensive choice for food but I can look past that. The one thing that has stuck in my mind is the night staff. Most people who stay here are up and leaving pretty early. The last time I was here I had to wake the front desk employee to get my receipt and there was no coffee made at 5:30 in the morning. I think management needs to look into that little tidbit.

Hotel is new so you know everything is nice. Good food selection in bar. Very nice lobby with massive chandelier. Rooms are very nice and spacious. Free wifi. Next to I-10. Not far from down town Houston. Rates are about average for this kind of Hotel. No complaints so far. Second night here. Hotel is four stories and has two elevators. I am pretty sure food served till 9PM and drinks till 11PM which is very convenient. I would not imagine you would be disappointed. Staff is very friendly and well dressed in suits. Nice pantry with some food and snacks. Would highly recommend.

I thought this hotel was OK but not as good as the other Holiday Inns that I stayed at. I was here for two weeks and paid $95 for each night (plus an additional $5.70 and $8.55 for State and Local City Tax respectively).
This was a major dissapointment. There is no free breakfast!!! You will have to purchase your breakfast at the hotel restaurant located next to the lobby. For the price it should be free!
The fitness room does not have free weights. There are two thread mills, one eliptical, and one bike. Two thread mills cannot be used at the same time though because both feed off the same power source and it does not have enough power for both.
The room is pretty nice. It comes with a laydown couch, decent size LG flat screen (with several HBO channels), Sony DVD player, office table, free wifi or direct connection, room safe, coffee maker, mini fridge, and microwave.
The thing that really bothered me about the room was the direction the AC blew. The AC vent is located at the foot of the bed and blows directly at your face as you sleep. There is no other adjustments and my co-workers that stayed at the same hotel complained the same thing. Sometimes you wake may wake up with a dry throat from the dry AC air blowing at you the entire night.
The location is not directly adjacent to any restaurants or stores but actually next to a residentual neighborhood. I stayed on the east wing and if I look outside my window I could see people's backyards.
For the price, I would go somewhere else. There is another Holiday Inn just about 10-15 minutes West on I-10 (located next to a Chilli's and movie theatre). They have free hot breakfast, discount at Chilli's bar, and free ussage of a 24 hour fitness that is walking distance.

The rating on this would probably have been higher because it is an "okay" hotel. What really drops it down though are a couple of things:
1) and this is a biggie - BREAKFAST. Where does this Holiday Inn get off charging $6.99 for a breakfast that all the other HI's give you for FREE?!? You look at the "buffet" (they call it) and it looks IDENTICAL to every other one of their chains. Eggs, sausage (or bacon), biscuits, gravy, pastries, breads, cereals, fruit, et al. This is a major faux pas in my opinion.
2) The front desk service, as well as the morning dining room service, was quite lacking. Both come across as cold and "we're just here because we're paid to be" type of attitude. No warmth. No "Welcome to Holiday Inn" like I normally get at other locations. No extra emphasis for being a Priority Club member. The morning folks were just "there's the buffet" and that's it. It was all rather disappointing.
The rooms are okay (although a bit pricier than what I would expect to pay) and the appearance of the hotel is clean and up-to-date looking but that doesn't sway the overall set back of the previously mentioned failings.
So, this was our second and, most likely, our LAST visit to this hotel. I'm sure there are others within a few miles on the interstate that will benefit from our stay - and we can benefit from the amenities we usually enjoy at a Holiday Inn.

Nice hotel and fairly new. The room was clean and I was allowed to checkin early with my Platinum status. I was staying on reward points so I cannot comment on price. Upgrade given to king bed for platinum status.
Cons: Wifi was fairly slow, no free breakfast, lots of noise from the highway.
There isn't much right here so if you need to stay in this part of town this is pretty nice. I would stay here again.
