Don't get me wrong, this was the nicest place I have ever been when it came to the people working there.  However, the room was very noisy and my in room free wi-fi never worked.  Something else in the room also interfered with my cell phone.  Had to go to the lobby any time I needed to use the internet or my phone.  The restaurant on site was great...served delicious steaks and salads.

We checked in Saturday using my Hilton rewards points. Arrived at the hotel after 3pm. I walked up to the counter and provided the name for the reservation to Aaron. He clearly refused to look at me, or even acknowledge my presence. He addressed my husband who was standing behind me. After several minutes with Aaron teaching a new person how to check someone in, he told us our room wasn't ready. We left for about 15 minutes and came back to check in. Aaron has forgotten our names and had no keys ready. Unprofessional and frustrating. I travel frequently and stay at Hilton Gardens as frequently as possible and never been treated so poorly. Tim (the manager) observed this conversation and suggested that Aaron should have had the keys ready before our return, but nothing was offered for our inconvenience. We get to our room and housekeeping stopped by to bring towels since they had forgotten in the rush to ready our room. I attempted calling the overnight staff 3 times to request late check out and gave up since no one answered. I will never stay here again. Stressful stay. The bathroom was old and the shower head was dated and very small. I would say out of 10 our stay rated a 3. Disappointed that I wasted my points at this location.

Had dinner the other night @ the Great American Grill. Had a burger and some shrimp pasta. Both where VERY good. The waitress was very prompt and friendly. O man also, with the burger came my very own mini bottles of ketchup and mustard. It was bad ass. The pasta dish was really good. I definitely want to go back and try this breakfast. Not really a date place, but good for a weeknight meal or a meeting. O they are only open in the morning and at nights.

Not bad (typical Hilton) - but some things to note:

Despite having a room on the 3rd floor (fairly low to the ground), it took literally minutes before the hot water kicked in while taking a shower.  Even the cold water from the sink would often suddenly change its water pressure level.  Plumbing issues?

Despite my HHonors status, I was never offered or given the 2 water bottles during any point of my 3 night stay, like I do at other Hiltons.

We were in town for my father in law's 65th birthday and retirement party.  The party was in Duncanville so we decided it would just be easiest to stay in the area.  I went on hotels.com and got an awesome rate for this bad boy ($136 for two nights in a king sized room, including all taxes).  We booked it and were on our way to Texas.

Free parking!  Yay!

Everyone was INCREDIBLY friendly here.  Everyone was all "good morning!" and "Ya'll have a nice day!".  Check in was painless (in the door and headed to our room within 2 minutes).  The lobby is super cute and clean... you actually wouldn't mind sitting on the chairs and hanging out there.

Our room was big and clean.  Bathroom, modern and spotless.  The bed was comfy enough.  I don't know what brand it is (not sleepnumber, as a previous reviewer said) but you can turn the dial from 1-8 to your desired firmness.  We weren't absolutely convinced turning the dial did anything but we slept well enough so it didn't matter.  Flat screen TV, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, Neutrogena toiletries (including mouthwash)... all were fab.

We didn't do the breakfast but for $10, it sounded like a great deal.

Please note: you don't go to the Duncanville area to hang out because there's a lot to do.  Obviously, we had family stuff and that's why we stayed there.  There's not much in the area otherwise.

I'd stay there again in a heartbeat!

This was the first Hilton I've been to where I liked the hotel staff. The waitresses in the Great American Grill, especially Brittany, were really friendly and cheerful. The front desk even addressed me by name throughout the week.

Accommodations were as expected for a Garden Inn hotel with sleep number beds and flat screen tvs. Fortunately, the corporate nightly rate came with complimentary all-you-can-eat cook-to-order breakfast meals and a drink (beer or wine) during happy hour/dinner for every day of the stay. These perks definitely made my stay more enjoyable.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, nothing over the top, uncomfortable beds.  Free Wi-Fi, quick and easy check in.

A worthy member of the Hilton family, the Hilton Garden Inn in Dallas/Duncanville is a fine place to spend a night or two on business. Friendly and helpful staff, free wifi, and even a small restaurant serving breakfast and dinner. (No lunch.) I didn't check out the dinner, but I can vouch for breakfast, where there is a plentiful buffet spread with loads of fruit, and eggs are cooked to order.

The rooms are nicely appointed, but nothing special. When my TV didn't work, I made a call to the front desk, and maintenance was able to fix the problem within 15 minutes.

I recently booked one night stay during a basketball tournament scheduled for the entire weekend.  I asked for a quiet room, away from as much noise as possible. Additionally, my flight was delayed, and had to spend an extra night at the last minute. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate me. Each and every person in the hotel was courteous, efficient, polite, and seemed to really want to make their customer's stay pleasurable, from the cleaning ladies to night guard who walked me my car at 4am, to the front receptionists and managers, all shifts.  The rooms were clean and beds comfortable.  What really makes this hotel a 4+ star rating is the customer service.  I wish other businesses would send their employees to this organization or perhaps it is the "southern hospitality school" of training.  Whichever, they could learn a thing or two about courteous and outstanding customer service.

Did not honor my original booking price since I arrived a day early.  They even charged me $55 a night more for the 2 nights I had booked!  Cody Stites, the general manager, responded to my email with a very snarky and unhelpful attitude.  Stay somewhere you can trust, avoid this pit.

Wow..  The ballroom is really dark.  If you plan any kind of event that you want photo taking, you may want to reconsider.  I was here to take pictures for a banquet and the lighting here is really dim.  Incredibly dim.  There are several lights that are out and it just so happens that the one over the podium was out.  Quite unfortunate.

My friend had a headache and I went to the front desk to get some Tylenol.  "Sure!  We have some right in the pantry."  Which is this little area where they have some vending machines and some other miscellany including some drugs.  $2 for a pack of extra strength Tylenol.  The good news, they don't charge tax!  Score!

Bathrooms were pretty clean, so +1 star to Hilton Garden Inn - Duncanville.

Excellent hotel. Good value for the area. Very clean and nicely decorated. We were in the elevator with the manager and caught her  checking for dust on a picture frame in the elevator. It was hilarious!  The breakfast buffet is a really good value also. Highly recommend.

We stayed here in lieu of driving home from my husband's annual company party. I loved that the rooms were ready early, and we got a really good rate for our blocked rooms. When we arrived, I was LOADED down with stuff for the entire family. I was never offered any help to get to my room; that was a bummer. The rooms were clean and cozy; the bathroom was as well. I wasn't pleased with the lighting in my bathroom; it made it difficult to put on my makeup that evening. I had my kiddos with me, so I couldn't leave the room much before our babysitter arrived. The bartender was kind enough to bring my drink up, as well as  two champagne glasses for the bottle we brought. When I lost my key and did not want to shuffle around and make noise that would wake up the kiddos, The staff were accommodating and made me a new key right then and there. The lady that works the breakfast in the morning was awesome. She was just so sweet to our party.  We didn't bring our breakfast coupons (worth $9.95), and she glad verified for us and made it all happen. All in all, I would stay here again if I needed a hotel room on this side of town.

Very friendly staff, great breakfast and even better dinners! It takes me a bit to wake up and get going at times, but after an inexpensive breakfast and coffee I'm good to go. Every staff member is professional and friendly. I have stayed at Marriott in my past for weeks at a time, I'm starting become a big fan of Hilton now.

been to this place twice and i'm so disappointed.  HGI are usually much nicer than other hotels but this one is so not.  the staff in the evening don't want to be there and you can tell.  the staff during the day was friendly.  i turned on the heater in my room and it smelled like it was on fire.  the room was very dated but the lobby has had a makeover similar to other HGIs.  the laundry room has a sign that it isn't working and it's been like that for at least 2 weeks.

Good clean place, friendly people, good on site food.  Only complaint is that it's time to change the mattresses out, they are starting to sag rather significantly, at least in our room.  I did see the same comment from someone else so I guess it's not just me.  Stayed for 4 nights on business, and by the end of the week was pretty frustrated with not sleeping well because of the bed.

The young lady, Kaleo, at the breakfast service was top notch and a ray of sunshine better than a cup of coffee.  Didn't eat dinner, but the breakfast was very good.

The gym equipment was the best I have ever seen for a hotel gym.  Modern treadmills and steppers each with vid screens, full dumbbells up to 50 lbs, benches, cable rack system, and assortment of medicine and stability balls.  All very new and well maintained.  This is what garnered them my fourth star.

Very nice upscale hotel. Stayed for two nights and really enjoyed my stay... The room was huge and very clean... The staff was amazing and very friendly. Had Valentine's Day dinner here and the chef... Omg he did his thing. I'm soooo glad I cancelled my reservations at Capital Grille inside the Crescent Hotel.. I didn't have to add any salt or anything to the food is was amazing!!!! The made to order breakfast was none I ever had at any other hotel. It was fresh and hot and delicious, quality food! Definitely is a must stay if your looking for room in Duncanville!!!!

Great hotel for nothing other than the staff.
I was traveling on a road trip across country with 2 small children alone and we had only 3 more hours till our destination when a freak ice storm hit Dallas. It was insanely dangerous and I had no where to go and it was unsafe to drive. I was on my last hope and was going to sleep in the parking lot but went in and they were booked like everyone else. HOWEVER... They let me sleep in the lobby and didn't turn anyone away. They were accommodating with blankets and pillows and were so nice! I didn't get a room until about 5am and she gave me the first available and was just so nice to everyone.
I was so great full for the kind actions and accommodations that they provided when all other hotels slammed their doors

Had a quick run up to Duncanville for meetings and enjoyed my stay at the HGI. Parking lot was pretty packed for a Wednesday and had to park on the side and was at the door at 9:45 but they had locked them early, which was a bit annoying, but they quickly let me in.  The young man at the counter was very polite and welcoming, had my water ready and keys as I had checked in early.  Explained all the amenities and as they were out of cookies, told me he would run some up to me in a few minutes, which he did.

Room was standard King, good use of space, comfy bed and overall positive experience. Had a late checkout and was not bothered by maid service.  Really positive overall experience and would stay again!
