Our carpet was dirty and the a/c didn't really cool at night. We had to let the manager know about the problems. The hotel is convenient to many restaurants and shopping.

Located roughly 10 minutes west of downtown El Paso right off of I-10, The La Quinta is clean, is in a safe neighborhood, and reasonable. As with all La Quinta's, they are pet friendly and give you a free Continental breakfast in the morning. The La Quinta is older than some and is a little bit run down. However, all in all, it was a nice spot to stay for a reasonable price.

Oh where to start. I have stayed here twice. I try to give everything a fair shake.

Ok let me start off with one word. Dated interior. Many have been remodeled and this one is not only in need of updating but MAINTANCE!

Elevator- Button on first floor is litterally cracked and broken to the point where I got shocked a few times when calling the elevator.
Laundry- For all you folks out there that frequent this chain it is very typical that the Laundry is on the third or fourth floor. Don't ask me why, it just is. I expect this so it is not an issue with me.
Interior- as stated before in desperate need of a facelift and maintance and this would go for the appliances too. I had to keep pushing the mini frig around to make it stop grumbling and keeping me up all night.

Another not so impressive little incident. I forgot a very expensive item in the room. I was half way back home before I realized it. I called and the front desk person said they would ask housekeeping to check the room for it. They came back and said it wasn't there. I asked him to check the room himself and he promptly told me that he had. I then told him that I knew exactly where I had left it. I was told that he could only go by what he had been told by the staff ( remember he just said that he had checked the room himself!) He said that if I was certain that I could call the police and file a theft report. I told him that I would turn around and come back to El Paso and to let his manager know I was on my way back so that we could do this. I also told him that i knew the device i had left due to the GPS tracking device in the item which is activated even when the unit is not turned on and that it was indicating it was at the hotel address. WIthin seconds I was told that they had now found it and that house keeping was coming with it.
I turned around to retrevie the item and when I got there I got an apology from the person that I had spoken to on the phone when I told him that the GPS devices sure do come in handy! He told me that he was sorry and that it was not him that had gone to check the room ( again remember he originally said he had!)

This got me off to a really rocky start with the chain that is a preferred vendor for my employer. Needless to say that this location has lost my business and I will look to stay at one of the other locations that has been renovated.

Stopped on the way back to San Diego

Nice Room
Nice Customer Services
Great Breakfast
Lots of good places to eat, entertain, and shop.

Across the street from another La Quinta Inn and Suites
Bathroom was moldy around the top off the shower
Laundry was on the FOURTH floor and my room was on first.

Overall, It was Just okay. Second worst of my La Quinta stays at this point.

I want to start this review off by saying that I now am rest assured that the entire city of El Paso is doomed. The stay here started off horrible. The shower head in our first room was torn out of the wall and the water pressure was so high that it flooded the bathroom. We were moved to another room, which we thought would be better, but we only traded up to trade down yet again. The sheets had disturbing stains and the sink and bath wouldn't drain. To top it off, minutes after I checked out I realized I left my leather jacket in room and called wanting to come right back for it, they claimed my jacket wasn't found which is impossible , being, I walked from room to car and nowhere else. So, I assume their employees are thieves.

Room looked clean. Nothing in disrepair. Well maintained. Wifi works, but kinda slow. They turned the AC on before I arrived which was good.  Considering how hot it gets in El Paso, that in itself warrants an extra star.  You do not want to spend the next few hours trying to cool down a room that was hot as a furnace upon arrival.

Not as new & updated as other la quinta hotels I've stayed at. But, if you've been driving west for ten hours and still haven't left Texas, this is an okay place to sleep. Pillows were soft & the drapes made it way dark. It's right off i10, across from another La Quinta.
My only gripes:
- no hot water (was room temp, even after letting it run five minutes)
- Did not have HBO & half of the channels were in spanish
- Looked very vacant

Like I said, this place isn't ideal for a romantic get away. You shouldn't be looking in El Paso anyway if you want that.

Very ghetto. But a wonderful flat screen TV. And the Otis Spunkmeyer muffins at breakfast are pretty good. The bathroom fan is quite strong too.

Faces the highway and the traffic noise is high. The expired milk at the breakfast bar poured out in large sour lumps into my once pristine lucky charms. We alerted the lady about it and she only threw away the ones that were one week expired, even though the lumpy one was from the batch that was only one day expired.

I believe the other la quinta is the one our climber friends recommend so we'll try that next time.

We have stayed here multiple times while traveling to/from CA to TX. We are always exhausted and don't care if it's a luxury hotel or not we just need a room for the night that will accept pets. Unfortunately, this particular La Quinta has gone further downhill on each visit. We arrived late and all they had available was a smoking room, not usually a big deal, a little odor but we get past it. I had to use my inhaler as soon as I walked on the door!!! I continued using it all night. The room was so gross! To the point that I didn't even take my clothes or socks off and my socks were black from walking on the carpet! The worst part though is our poor dogs (who are treated for fleas) left the hotel itching and scratching and sure enough they had fleas!!! I called the hotel to inform them and they said they would treat the room but you never know, it was obviously infested! Obviously, we won't stay here again.

WARNING: There are TWO La Quinta Inns right across the street from each other. I accidentially went to the wrong La Quinta when the people across the street kindly told me that this occurs all the time. Whoops. I guess I was just too excited to go to bed after my long drive.

This La Quinta was great. It had a nice flat screen TV, wireless internet, and all the basic ammenities you could want. Also, the best thing about here was the free continental breakfast although I could not help notice that this one lady was hoging up the waffle machines. Breakfast was served from 6-9am.

Solid marks for clean, inside doors, and pet friendly. The rate for my stay was less than a lot of other nights on this trip.

No water pressure, ac unit was broken, ants on the floor but hey I am just here to sleep. Bed was firm and tv worked. What else could I ask for? Ha...

I'll start off by saying that I booked this hotel through hotwire and when I saw all these negative reviews on Yelp and Tripadvisor I was traumatized.  But after checking into a room, the images of a run-down old shack quickly disappeared.

The room itself was spacious and had a nice flat screen with all your favorite cable channels.  There weren't peeling paint as another reviewer stated or growing mold in the showers, so that was a big relief. But most importantly, the bed was large and comfortable which really is the only important thing when staying in a hotel. However the bathroom lights and toilet were really loud and the hallways did reek of smoke.  I'm really sensitive to smoke, so that's definitely not cool :/

Breakfast. Whoever said that their breakfast sucked probably has overly high standards. From my visits I had a freshly toasted bagel with cream cheese. And had we not been in a rush I probably would have made myself a fresh waffle from their waffle maker. The orange juice was from a machine but honestly this is a pretty great selection for a hotel of this caliber

For a economy hotel, this definitely deserves 3 stars.

There are two La Quintas almost next to each other in this area so need to be aware of which one you're booking.   I'm an awards member so they upgraded me.  Room on second floor.  Bed was very comfortable queen.  Room was quiet of street noise.  Internet worked very well but that may be a function of how full the hotel is. But even though the room looked great when I checked on after a three night stay I noticed wall wear and a very noisy bathroom vent. These are not deal breakers but there was no business center to use to print out my Southwest boarding pass. That's a big negative for me.lots of good restaurants on Mesa and in the area once you get away from the interstate.
I'll stay here again even though the absence of a business center is a big negative

A dead Texas size cockroach (at least 2 inches long) in the room and a lot of baby ones cruising around the bathroom. Yikes!!!!!!!

This La Quinta is in serious need of a fix up. There were a lot of broken stuff in the room and I just couldn't take advantage of the free breakfast after seeing the roaches.

My family and I stayed at this hotel last night and we thought it was pretty nice. The receptionist was very friendly. We brought our dog here bc I found it on the bring fido app. They were nice enough to even give us doggy bags. I would recommend to someone else.

Also Chilis, Texas Roadhouse, and Krispy Kreme are in the same parking lot.
