This hotel/golf club has a great summer deal going on right now...a room plus unlimited golf for two for $99!!

A round costs $75 and my son and I played an afternoon round plus a morning round which would have normally totaled $300, so the rate is a true bargain.  What was more, the course wasn't busy so they let my wife and daughter go out with us in a second cart!

The rooms are standards Marriott, the bar is cozy loungeish...standard Marriott fare in the restaurant, a decent sized outdoor pool, basic workout room....nice out-in-the-country feel place.

Will go back for sure for this rate which is good thru August...if you don't see it online, call Reservations

I love this hotel and the location. While only 27 miles north of downtown Fort Worth, you feel as if you are far away from a major city. It has a resort feel and setting. The rooms are clean, have a nice panoramic view, and updated. The lobby, bar, restaurant, etc are a cut above the standard hotels you see everywhere. This establishment used to be the Doral/Tesoro Golf Resort up until three years ago. Tesoro is an oil company so they had the money to build a class hotel.

Good course. Challenging par 4's, risk reward par 5's, good greens.

Room was clean with a great view out a huge window. We took our son there for just a fun night away. He swam, played tennis, and the asst manager sent up some milk and cookies on the house. It made his night. Could not of been more impressed with their service and hospitality. Highly recommend!!

This Marriot is right across the street from Texas Motor Speedway.  Nice big lobby with huge windows in the back framing a green lawn with a white gazebo and paths that lead to a golf course.  There was a wedding party going through wedding rehearsal and later that night there was a prom there.  Who thought a Marriott could be the epicenter of bridezillas, horny teenagers and Nascar fans!!

My room was a good size with a larger than normal desk.  I always enjoy the super strong AC unit set to 66 even though I wind up freezing at night.

I asked for a later check-out and didn't get back to the hotel until much much later.  I had a couple items still in the room and they were kind enough put them in a locked room until I could come back and get them later.

My room special was $105 and it was a great stay for that price.

Nice Marriott hotel. Everyone is very courteous and helpful.  Airport transport costs a bundle, but they provide it free if you're with their resident guest, DynCorp.

I attended a conference for work here last week and my visit was very pleasant. While there I experienced their restaurant's buffet, one of their large conference rooms, and of course their golf course that is part of the hotel.

The restaurant's buffet was nothing special but it got the job done and we were very limited as to what is around this hotel. If you are going to stay here be prepared to drive if you don't feel like eating at their restaurant.

The conference was great and that stuff took good care of us.

The golf course is very well taken care of and the golf portion was a great experience despite being 1,000 degrees outside (the heat has nothing to do with the hotel, that's just another summer day in Texas). If you are a not so good golfer like myself I can see how this course would be a bit challenging, we played a scramble so there weren't too many difficult shots.

Over all good experience through out the several days that I was at this hotel!

Very disappointed with this Marriott.  Overall facility is nice.  Unfortunately, the room was sub par.  Bed too hard. Two electrical outlets didn't function.  Water running from another room woke me up.  Needless to say, I did not get a goods night sleep.

The hotels in the middle of nowhere close to restaurants or shops but the new have a nice golf course. The rooms and comfortable. The air condition Shut down during the night do to the motion sensor. The electrical outlets in my room or well use and mostly did not make contact when connected something. The food was mediocre.

Recently went to a business seminar held here. Wasn't too impressed with the location of the hotel being far away from restaurants and convenience stores. The hotel is laid out all by it self on some beautiful land with a golf court swirling around it.

Guest services wasn't to guest oriented and seemed distant. And all of the damn servers were Mexican with limited English understanding...CLUCK!!!

Our seminar setup was laid out good but getting Wi-fi service on our screen presentation was very slow.

Restrooms are nicely laid out with very good smelling soap and even lotion but they weren't as clean smelling.

Our croissant sandwich turkey and cheese plate was very good along with the big chocolate chip cookies.

My overall experience for this hotel was just as stared, "OK". My feeling is that this hotel was built to cater to tourist only and the seasonal race fans with more of a resort theme. Locals like me weren't impressed with this Marriott...

Not impressed at all. I scheduled online and it said "your check in day CANNOT be the same day as your check out date." A couple hours later we get a knock on our door telling us we missed our check out time even though the front desk attendant told us our check out time was for the same time the next day. Beyond frustrated with this shitty hotel that is over priced to begin with. They don't give you enough towels and the room never got cold even though we had it set to 63. Ridiculous. Never coming back.

Nice hotel by nothing except the nascar stadium. Room was clean , pool looked better in pictures, and the food was average . The staff was average . My main concern was after I stayed I had all these crazy credit card charges with the c.c I barley use except when traveling and they were a few attempted room bookings at two other Marriotts, which makes me think it was from a shady employee.

I really like the Marriott hotel chain and they're always my first choice when traveling.  We got the "Experience Romance" package and the experience was great.

The lady at the front desk/check in was very nice and attentive.  I really liked that she used very appropriate language while discussing our package so as not to make everyone around aware of what all the details of our package were.

Our hotel room was very clean and I'm a super clean person so I look at all the details. I mean even the tops of art work frames were dust free and the baseboards were clean.  I don't think any detail was missed - the carpet, the furniture and even the TV remote was clean.  I felt completely comfortable touching everything. And oh yes, the bathroom was squeaky clean - not a spot of dirtiness anywhere. The tub and tiles shined like they were new.

Our bed was super comfortable and the extra pillows I requested were already in the room when we walked in. Also the bedding was so fresh and clean smelling I didn't want to get up.

A bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries was delivered to our room and a very nice three course dinner and breakfast was included.  I got the filet mignon and hubby got the rib eye.  Our steaks were superb! I asked our waitress to give the chef our compliments.  Literally, my steak was so tender I sliced it with my fork and it tasted like butter!

One small detail was missed and that was the chocolate turndown service - we actually had such a great time we decided to not address it. I highly recommend this package to couples who want to get away for the weekend and have some enjoyable romantic touches.

Great job Marriott and kudos to the staff.

- Golf Course Review -
EXCELLENT.  Expensive but really nice course.  Driving range has real-grass tees, which I've always wanted to try (Back in Boston you'd never see that).  The course is in EXCELLENT shape:  lush grass, greens in tip-top shape.  The course isn't hilly, but very difficult.  I lost more balls playing here than ever before.  Namely because there's a lot of brush along the edges and streams, etc, and I'm not risking a snake bite looking for my Titlest.
I'd recommend a golf cart - they have these little coolers on the side which you can fill up with ice and beer in the bar before you take off. SUPER EXPENSIVE though:  4 cans of crappy beer will set you back $17!!!!  Geez!
But I had a blast playing here.  Course was in great shape, we had fun figuring out our shots, etc.  Just a nice time.
They do specials here like $30 after 4:30 on weekdays.  That includes a cart, etc.  May give that shot this summer.  I think the weekend rates are like $80 for 18 holes (yikes!!!).

One night stay in a standard king room.

Check in was a bit slow - the guy had a hard time finding the reservation, even with the printout of the confirmation. The room was nice sized, with a decent flat screen TV and a good work space/desk with a cell phone/device butler to charge it or plug in audio/video.

I loved the smell of the linens. Very fresh and clean. Bathroom was a good size, clean, and had good water pressure (ladies, you know how awful it is when you can't rinse shampoo out because of those water saving shower heads!). But one really stupid thing - there was no hook anywhere in the bathroom to hang up a towel, a bathrobe or a clothes hanger. The back of the door had a full length mirror on it, instead. There was space on the wall they could have used, but didn't. A small annoyance to have to go out of the warm bathroom to get my dress from the closet.

We asked for and graciously were granted a late checkout at no charge. This allowed us to go over to the race event and come back for our things at lunch without a rush. They also sent up a bathrobe for me.

The air conditioning was inconsistent and noisy - it didn't stay consistently at temperature most of the night.

Free parking. Insane charge for internet (the same clueless checkin guy told us it was free, but it wasn't, so we didn't opt in for it).

Generally very good stay and a good price (direct booking online).

I spent 4 nights at the Marriott hotel last week with my fiance. Everyone was super nice and the grounds were beautiful.

I gave the hotel 3 stars because I had to request a refrigerator as our room did not come with a one or a microwave. Also, the iron is a cheapie. I was in dire need of a snack one night and had to pay $2.00 for a Twixx from the hotel store :( The nearest convenient store was 10 minutes away.

The hotel itself is across from the Texas Motor Speedway but about 15 minutes from any decent restaurant. If you choose to stay here, make sure you check out Roanoke, TX. Roanoke, TX: The Unique Dinning Capital of Texas.

The hotel itself was clean and in a great location we were there for NASCAR. The staff at this location were so unpleasant. My husband and I went to the bar/lounge to order drinks & food which were fine but the heavy set bartender was extremely rude to everyone, it seemed like he hated his job. The next morning at the front desk the young women who was training an older women was the same way. She never asked how our stay was, no smile & seemed bothered that we asked for a receipt. If the hotel management reads this we checked in 4/6 & out 4/7 at 9:00 am.

Had to book a last minute hotel for a business trip to Dallas.  All the Marriott by DFW were sky high so I saw that this property had a Marriott Reward Member offer for $127/night plus free breakfast and internet.  Not a bad deal if you don't mind the drive.  Be warned that this hotel is way out there.  There is horrific construction along 114/121 area so plan that into your drive times no matter what time of day.

Hotel is nice.  The walls were a bit on the thin side and could hear neighbors.  Slow internet connection as well.  Not good for us business traveler folk.  Probably the worst thing about the location is lack of food options.  You need to drive over to Roanoke for some dining options and let's not kid ourselves here.  You're talking Chili's and the like.  There is a Babe's Chicken if you want to wait for a seat close by.

Very nice and clean hotel. The hotel room we stayed at was located on the 10th floor with a breathtaking view of the Texas Motor Speedway and golf course. The beds are super comfortable.

Breakfast was included in the price and was not great. Because we choose to include it in our hotel room price, we received Zero service. Plus the buffet was almost empty at 8:30 am on the weekend.

We stay here when we come to visit family in the area. If you're an Elite member and have concierge lounge access, you can't beat it.  Their lounge provides a nice, hot, free breakfast (again, for Elite members): eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, bagels, Danish as well as cereal, fruit, etc.  Sodas and bottled water are complimentary during lounge hours. Grab an extra bottle of soda or water for your room. This lounge has a feature I've never seen at any other Marriott lounge - full size candy bars, bags of chips, pretzels, Cracker Jack, Oreos, cheese crackers, granola bars, etc.... again, all at no charge. I've seen other concierge lounge is have granola bars and fruit, but I've never seen full-size candy bars, crackerjack, potato chips, pretzels, Oreos, cheese and peanut butter crackers. In the evenings they have light hors d'oeuvres, as well as snacks. Last night they had chocolate mousse cake. On Saturdays and Sundays when the lounge is not open for breakfast, elite members get free breakfast buffet in the dining room. I'm a gild elite member (50 nights or more a year) so I do get free lounge access, free Wi-Fi, as well as other benefits for being a loyal member. This location has nice rooms although certainly nothing special about them.  When we checked in yesterday, our room had the requested refrigerator in it however they did not remember to bring the extra towels and extra pillows as requested. One quick phone call to the front desk and I had my extra items within minutes. And as an elite member, when my plane landed at 10 o'clock and I was here by 11 AM, they let me check in early.  It's certainly not the fanciest hotel ever stayed in. But it is very nice, always claim, and the amenities are nice.

Golf, Grounds, Great Food, and great service.  This is a great place to stay and play.  The golf course connected was great despite the torrential downpour the day before.  The staff was very attentive.  The bar staff was FANTASTIC and the food was very good.  Overall a great place for a meeting or a quick get away.  The room was very clean and kept up to date.

The room is as pictured. I don't like to feel closed in, so the large window is perfect! The bedside chair is so comfortable, if I had a book I could fall asleep in it. Clean comfortable all the way around. Good for older kids teenage and older. Classy lobby. Friendly efficient check in. The only thing I would like to see change before we come back, which we will, is free wifi for all guests in room.  Booked through Expedia for $85 very reasonable rate for this 2q bed room & beautiful property. We usually stay at Omni's but didn't want to pay $20 for parking and wanted to be outside of the busy city, which is a short 15 minute drive to any where you would want to go. Happy with this Marriott.

Diana the Beer Lady is Sluper! The course is very played with firm greens and West Texas Links style play. Lots of roll in the fairways with true rolling greens year around. Use Golf Now, EZ Links, Golf Logic for discounted tee times day of play. Katey the bartender is an excellent server! Go Play!

Men's Locker Room is usually clean and meat with fresh towels and amenities. Today it was a little off. I'm sure it will be up to par next time.

I used to stay at this hotel often as I used to have to travel to Fort Worth on a regular basis for work.  It's clean, the rooms and beds are comfortable and they offer a pretty nice breakfast buffet which includes fresh waffles and made to order omelettes.  There is a also a nice bar area downstairs.  The grounds and kept clean and tidy, a lot of people stay at this hotel to play golf so you will also see a lot of golfers around. Ask for a room with a view of the pool.

While a lovely hotel, be warned that they are event price gougers. The standard rooms have their price inflated by about 200% on an event weekend at the nearby Texas Motor Speedway. While I don't object to a slightly higher price for events, 200% is totally out of line.

I stayed here during Christmas time. It's very cozy.  The people (staff) are friendly. The room was very clean! The bed was huge and  very comfortable. Although I really didn't like the shampoo, conditioner and the toilet paper. It took me literally 40 min to de-tangle my hair (if they had a better conditioner, it would not have taken that long) Toilet paper was very cheap and thin. Everything was of a high quality except these few items.

We booked a Groupon last minute and had a great stay here.  The staff was SO nice, every single one of them.  The bartender working the night of 7/5 was especially awesome.  We sat outside and he brought us a new drink every time he saw we were almost done!  Perfect!  The brunch, which was included in our room rate, was great!  The French toast was made to order and so yummy!  The server even brought our dog, who sat with us on the patio while we are, a bowl of water!

Also, the grounds were beautiful.

1.  There is a happy hour until 6 pm at the bar.  Rail drinks are $4 and the rail liquor was decent (I had a vodka soda and they used Svedka).  Beer is $1 off and house wine $4.

2. Dogs are allowed, up to 100 lbs.

When I arrived for check in at the marriott I was surprised to find out that not only was the room I was being checked into not the type of room I had booked but none of the room qualities I have listed in my profile on Marriott's Elite page settings were met (High Floor, Far from Elevator, Refrigerator in room, Extra Down Pillows).

I have traveled around the world and whenever possible I have stayed with Marriott. On occasion I have even lived at the Marriott for extended periods of time (for work). So when I was put into a handicapped room, right off of the elevator near the ground floor I felt like I was being stuffed into whatever they had left over...

Meanwhile a friend of mine who was staying with Marriott for the first time was given a king suite (which I had booked), on the concierge floor and did I mention he checked in several hours after I arrived? This really ruffled my feathers. I was happy for my friend to be sure but confused as to why a loyal Marriott elite member was stuffed away while a newcomer to the hotel was given the room I had essentially booked. I really don't understand it.

It was more apparent that the issue was poor overall management the following night when we were in the bar and it was total mayhem. The staff was being overworked due to lack of proper planning/staffing. At the time, the Red Bull Air Races were going on across the street (Awesome by the way, I highly suggest you checkout the Red Bull Air Race if you have the means), and this hotel was the "host hotel." It was full of both racing teams (one of the reasons I was brushed to the side no doubt) as well as spectators staying at the venue. The bar and restaurant were so over loaded due to understaffing that evening that even the bartenders and waiters were imploding. This was for sure an all-hands situation where they should have over staffed both kitchen, bar and restaurant but instead they went light that night and it showed.

I have never been so let down by a stay with Marriott and would never have made them my chain hotel of choice had this been my first experience with them. As it is, I'm not sure if my friend who is relatively new to Marriott will book with them again (by choice) after he saw such poor management and and he learned about how I was given a "lesser room" while he, a non-member who even booked after me, was given a nicer room... Again, I'm stoked for my friend but confused as to why I was shafted without so much as an apology. Why take my reservation if you're not going to fulfill it?

It is the little things that make you come back to a chain hotel like Marriott. But, when the big ones are so poorly handled it makes you question your future bookings. I don't mean to sound like a primadonna but with other options out there like Hilton (who I also happen to be an elite member with and have never been shafted before -- only upgraded) I will remember this experience and possibly choose differently next time.

Both Stars go to the crowning jewel of this hotel, John our concierge - the hardest working man in the joint and our waiter were excellent.

In the middle of nowhere. My taxi driver said it best - "I hope the hotel has a restaurant, because you're in the boonies!" I recently stayed at the Dallas/Fort Worth Marriott Hotel when I was in town for the American Board of Surgery Certifying Exam. I was at the Marriott Hotel for a review course, which took place their main floor ballrooms. The rooms were very large and pretty comfortable. During the day, the hotel provided food, drinks, and snacks as part of the course - everything was pretty good. The hotel had set up shuttles to Roanoke and discounted buffet dinners for course attendees, which I thought was pretty nice. But, because I wanted to take advantage of every possible minute for studying, I took advantage of the hotel's room service - the food was good and promptly delivered.

Nice hotel. Wish it were more centrally located.

Although we did book on a busy weekend and the reservation said a king OR 2 queen beds,  I don't think the hotel put any consideration into the number of guests staying in the room.  I put the number of guests as 4 for the single room, but when we arrived we got the one king bed option.  We're pretty good friends, but not quite "Let's all snuggle in the same bed" good friends.  Seeing as how there's no sleeper couch or anything either, we requested to move rooms, but like I said it was a busy weekend and there were no other rooms available.  One trip to walmart and two inflatable mattresses later we were set for the night.

The next morning, we noticed there were only two towels for showering, so we had to go ask for some more.  Again, the reservation clearly said 4 people, so we considered this a pretty basic mistake that an otherwise nice hotel shouldn't have messed up.

The hotel itself is quite nice though, clean and inviting, just make sure before you arrive that your room is what your party needs.  Not saying we wouldn't stay here again, but we'll make doubly sure that what we want is available next time.

Whilst in limbo between moving and getting into corporate housing we splurged and stayed here for a couple of nights recently. We had stayed here before...about 7-8 years....when it was the Doral. I remember being very impressed them then. Sure, the hotel is isolated and out of the way, but it's looked at as a resort. So it can be seen as a get away for some people who are looking for a relaxing experience, I'm guessing. There is a golf course on site, tennis/basketball court, hammocks out back, a great patio area outside, and a large amount of seating inside for lounging around, talking, having a drink, etc. There is also a restaurant, and I believe a separate café type of place.

When we got there the concierge, Jerry, helped us load our cart and helped us move everything upstairs and unload. He was very nice and helpful. Our room was nice and spacious with a king size bed and a fantastic bathroom. It faced the back so we had a great view of the golf course and trees as opposed to the parking lot and Texas Motorspeed Way, which I am so grateful for, lol. The room was airy and bright and felt and appeared to be very clean. There were painters in the hallway several times during our stay so they are either in the process of updating or are just keeping things touched up. Either way, kudos to them. This is a nice place. It should look and smell and feel nice and clean always.

They are dog friendly. I'm not sure how much per stay as my husband handled the reservation. There didn't appear to be a specific dog area, but we stayed over to the side each time we took Fred out because it didn't seem right to have him handling his business in full view of the back half of the hotel or in areas that were well-manicured, etc.
